A máquina é perfeita e faz excelentes imagens!

I think the camera is very practical, my girlfriend already took some pictures, even had the good fortune to capture the image of a squirrel eating plums in the garden of her home. The photos were beautiful and really worth having this camera from HP. Perfect, super easy and practical to tinker with the various tools.

Great value. Great pictures.

I read the reviews on this camera before purchasing. I am always reluctant when reading the negative reviews, but I figured the positive ones outweighed them. I figured $80 was worth a try for a camera of this megapixel size. I also liked some of the features too.

My camera arrived and I used it immediately. I like how light-weight it is. The pictures came out great. Some were blurry, but it may have been the kids moving that made it this way.

I enjoy this camera. It is a great price. Nice to have for taking everyday pictures to capture moments. HP PB360 12 MP Digital Camera with 3-Inch Touchscreen LCD (Bronze)

A surprise delight.

Took matching pictures with this little gem and my Nikon D90 using several different lens types. When compared side by side on a 25 inch monitor it was very difficult to tell the difference between the results of the two cameras. While the Nikon pictures were a bit sharper when the images were expanded, the quality of this camera's shots was quite impressive. In addition, it has virtually all of the manual features found on the Nikon. Very impressive for such a little device.

Disposable point and shoot

I don't know what is happening to all of the major brands we knew and trusted....I purchased this camera to replace a 5 yr old 5 mp Olympus 5050 that was broken at my wife's friend's bridal shower- (she left it at the table to go to the restroom and when she came back, she found 3 batteries sitting next to the camera, and 1 on the floor, she tried to put the batteries back in and door would not lock down..noone said anything to her.)
Meanwhile, I was actually was looking to get a new camera, right before the incident, for I was getting tired of the bulk and older, slower features. Soon as I saw the 780is, I liked the sleek look and ultra-portability, combined with the 12mp and video capability, and It was a Canon, I was jazzed...but it had a 299.99 price tag, that busted the bubble. I said Canon's crazy, I'll wait until the price goes down when the new model comes out. (for those that don't know, a company's new model after a re-design usually is the same product with 1 or 2 extra features, nothing to trip over yourself for.)
I patiently waited finally found one for under 170.00 and ordered it right up. Upon receiving the cam, my first thought was man it is small, I charged it up and started taking test shots against his replacement, the Olympus.
Here's where the try before you buy is critical, The pics from the Canon were instantly noticeable being grainy and smaller detail was blown out. I thought it was broken, so I called the company and they sent me a replacement. I did notice something else that did disappoint me, both cameras I received were stamped Made In China...Yes, The Japanese brand and rep is now outsourcing to China...great.
Sorry, and no offense, but so far, the quality of China goods I've received is not of the highest standards.

The pic quality of this cam proves that and says it all- grainy and blurry for inside shots (retouching required) only the outside shots, both still and video, look awesome, but sound on the video is bad, too.

After the initial disappointment faded, and I realized quality control is pretty much dead everywhere, I decided to keep the Canon, just for the quick point and shoot convenience. Not to mention that after 2 month of casual use, the paint on the body is wearing off in spots. If I had purchased it at the original price or anything higher than I paid, it would have gone right back.
P/S. I did not retire the Olympus after purchasing the Canon as I intended, for its pic quality is superior. A 5 yr old 5mp cam with a rubber band holding it's batteries in place performs better over brand new 12mp cam, What's that tell you??

Aesthetically pleasing

It's a nice camera. The picture quality is phenomenal. However, when I shoot pictures at night especially lights, the pictures come out blurry. The camera says that my hand is shaking (which it is not). I'm still an amateur when it comes to picture taking and dealing with camera technology so maybe it's something I did wrong. Perhaps I should read the manual and try out everything. But overall, the quality of the pictures is excellent and even made my friend who likes taking pictures very jealous.

Fatal Design Error - maximum 3 month lifespan

I have always gotten Canon Powershot cameras and loved them - at least all of my previous cameras - until now.

This is my second camera of this model, and after just 3 months it's lens will not open fully due to "Lens Error". My first camera only lasted 3 weeks before it had this same problem. I had returned the first camera, thinking that it was a fluke with the individual camera, but now I see that this fatal problem is a design flaw that is present in every Canon camera of this model.

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA!!!!! It only has a lifespan of 3 months maximum!!!

Best Compact Camera I have owned..

I am thinking of selling my Canon dSLR because this little camera takes such awesome shots...

Here is what I LOVE about this camera:
- 720p recording with stereo sound
- Insane 14x zoom
- GPS tagging shows on a map in my iPhoto where the photo was taken
- Durable weight and feel, I feel like I am holding something strong and solid in my hand
- Amazing outdoor photo quality

Here is what I DON'T LOVE (But can live with) about this camera:
- GPS is slow to acquire position, so if you whip it out for a quick shot it won't have time to find out where you are
- Indoor flash photography isn't amazing. Average for a camera in this price point but could be better.

Overall if you do most of your photo taking outside this will be a dream camera for you. If you travel and want to remember the places you visited on a map. This is the dream camera for you.

I couldn't recommend this camera enough.

Exterior quality is not as good as the zs3

I owned the prior model Zs3 that had gotten stolen. Unfortunately I didn't catch who did it. So I went on the search for the same camera. And sadly the price had gone up a whopping 100 more than what I purchased it for. So I settled for the Zs7 instead. Read the reviews and thought. Well its cheaper and its the newer version of mine. So I went ahead and ordered. Just received it today, I was super excited. But then that disappeared as soon as I opened the box. The exterior quality is cheaper, way cheaper than the previous model. It almost feels flimsy. The zoom tab...is plastic, the point and shoot button has a plasticy feel to it. The different modes slot, does not easy glide. The Zs3 I could change the mode with my thumb, sliding it easily. The casing of the camera is plastic, the Zs3 is actual metallic feeling to it!!! and its way lighter than the Zs3. I liked the idea of having a heavier camera, much more sturdy. I'm returning this bad boy as soon as I get a postage stamp on it. It's unfortunate, the newer model with all the upgrades they did to the piece they neglected the exterior. Which quite literally killed it for me.

A disappointment

This camera feels good in my hand, and I love the battery charger. To not have a long cord, but just a simple 2 prong arrangement is fabulous. And the big screen was great.
But I was very disappointed with the quality of the camera. I particular the shots even in focus are not sharp, which really surprised me from a Leica lens, as i used to have leicas and the lenses were sharp as a tack. This must be their low end line. i'm a semi-pro, so i know wherefore I speak on this. In addition, the colors are not accurate, and the camera is just plain slow. i used it to shoot a party, and most of the shots were blurry.
No wonder so many people don't think they can take photos-so much equipment is inferior.
I was so excited to have a camera that I could just put in my pocket that I was willing to forego having RAW. But this is not for me.
I tried the smaller one as well, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FH20 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 8x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch, and that was very Mickey Mouse. In comparison, the Nikon P6000 beats them both by a country mile, though it has a long cord on the battery charger, the battery runs out too quickly, and is a bit larger. Oh well. Worth the try but it's going back tomorrow with the other one..

Lumix DMC-ZS7 camera

Ordered on Thursday and got it Monday. Amazon is the best. I buy everything I can thru them even if the price is slightly higher. Panasonic has hit a home run with the ZS7. I need a clear 25 mm wide lens on the bottom and clear 300 mm on the top for my work everyday. Its solid all around, image stabilization is one of the best I've experienced, shoot it full automatic in iA mode or set exposure in P mode or full manual it that's your thing. Incredible small size fits in a shirt pocket.
In fact I liked it so much I bought another ZS7 in Red for my 92-year-old mother and she's taking photos with it now.

The pocketable PowerShot S90 gives powerful everyday shooting. Shoot quickly with a lens control ring and get superior low-light performance with a high-sensitivity 10.0 MP CCD and f/2.0 lens. A high-sensitivity CCD sensor gives outstanding image quality in a wide variety of lighting conditions. Even images taken at high ISOs show exceptionally low noise levels and a wide dynamic range. A bright f/2.0 aperture allows exceptional versatility, capturing low-light images and fast-moving subjects at higher shutter speeds. A wide angle of 28mm lets you put more in the frame, while Canon's optical IS reduces blur caused by camera shake.

Just What I Was Looking For

I live in a one camera household, so an SLR simply wasn't feasible. The S90 has been an acceptable compromise for both my wife and I. I love the fast lens, macro capabilities, and low-light responsiveness. My wife loves the portability and the fact she can select auto and take consistently great pics.

The small size comes with a cost. I have to always remember to keep my finger off of the pop up flash, so as not to impede it from popping up. Most importantly, the brushed aluminum finish lacks any tactile feel. I immediately purchased the Franiec custom grip and it has made a big difference.

The video recording is not 720p, but it looks great anyway (due no doubt to the great lens). I have read of others who have been dissatisfied with the battery life, but after coming from a camera using rechargeable AAs, I have no complaints.

We take lots of pictures at evening events and indoors, so we have been very happy with our S90. There have been a few times when I wished it had a 10x or 12x lens, but then again, those cameras can't match the photo quality of mine. It isn't perfect, but I've never been more pleased with a point and shoot. Canon really listened to consumers when they designed this one.

Canon S90 or SD4000?

As of July 2010, Canon S90 and Canon SD4000 are two of the best pocketable point and shoot cameras. Tough choice. Having used both, here is my take on these two excellent cameras:

ADVANTAGES OF S90 Over SD4000

1. Better picture quality.
2. Lots of manual controls.
3. Can capture images in RAW mode, allowing you lot more editing and image manipulation options.

ADVANTAGES OF SD4000 Over S90

1. HD video recording.
2. Slow motion video recording.
3. Some extra image effects like miniaturization and fish eye.
4. Slightly smaller size.
5. Native Eye-Fi support. But Eye-Fi card also works in S90.
6. I found a little better low light performance.

If you are looking for an excellent still image point & shoot camera and do not care that much about HD video then go for S90, which is really a prosumer camera designed for advanced amateur. But if you want an all in one, simple to use camera with ability to shoot good still pictures and HD video, then SD4000 is your camera.

Honey Canon shrunk their slr

My wife and are are novice photographers. We lugs our heavy gears every where we go trying to get high quality photos. Due to the cost of the typical underwater housing of an slr, we decided to go with the S90 + a housing. Prior to the S90, we owned 5 others P&S cameras, all highly recommended by dpreview, but none does the trick. However, the S90 does most of the stuffs that an average photographers would want in a very small body.
1) features (4/5): how about panoramic and hdr assist features
2) ease of use (5/5): The interface is very intuitive. The front and back rings allow quick change of settings which encourages creativities, not often found on P&S cameras.
3) Picture quality(5/5): AMAZING! Most the time, the photo does not look as good on computer as it does on the camera preview screen but that's not the case for the S90.
4) Portability (5/5): The camera is definitely not the smallest but its small enough to be pocket size. It is small enough for me to hold it in the palm of my hand and do point blank candid shots.
5) Battery life (3/5): With moderate playback, 1 battery allows us to take 200 photos. OEM replacement batteries are $12 each so we had 4 in our little pouch. My wife can go through 2-3 battery per day easily.
5) Low light (4/5): Depending on the amount of light available, iso 400 is about the highest we can go and still get some decent photos. Since the lens can open at F2 at the wide end, its easy to do hand-held night landscape shot at ISO 80.

Finally, a small camera that I am happy with....

I've had this camera for 2 months now and have been very pleased with the picture quality. I chose this camera because of its pocketability. I've owned a DSLR (Canon XTI) and G11 before, however due to their size they mostly stayed at home. This is my 6th P&S camera from Canon (I have upgradetitis) and I'm planning on keeping this for a long time. I would also recommend purchasing the aftermarket grip, gordy neck strap, lensmate filter adapter, and LCD protector for this camera.

Very nice camera if you don't need 2 batteries

It's a shame to give only one star to a very nice product, but to me, this very nice camera is useless. I need two batteries...always need a spare so that while I'm out, when the battery dies, I can continue shooting pictures. Sadly, Panasonic has crippled their cameras against use of any non-Panasonic battery, and THEY DO NOT SELL A BATTERY FOR THIS CAMERA (as of 7/28/10).

So, this very fine camera must go back to the store and gets a one-star rating from me. Very, very sad.

If you're interested in this camera and don't need a spare battery, buy it! If by now (whenever you are reading this review) Panasonic has a battery available, consider this a four-star review!

Love this camera for the price. Great Quality!

I recently purchased this camera a few weeks ago and so far I love it. The quality of the pictures is far better than any other camera on the market. If you an amateur photographer who loves to get out and take pictures, without having to lug a huge around camera around then is the perfect one for you. The only drawback to this camera is that you cannot zoom in and out while you're taking video, but other than that this is a great camera for the price. I highly recommend it!

Questions & Answers
Question : What is the best digital camera brand to buy?
I now own a HP digital camera that works just fine. But before digital came along, I had a Nikon film camera which I just loved. Everytime I see a professional, they are using a Nikon. To me digital can't even compare to film but it's nice to be able to see the pictures before they are developed. I have taken thousands of pictures over the years that are still on my SD cards. Don't get me wrong my digital camera is great and I have developed hundreds of the pictures, but when using digital you just can't stop at one picture.

Answer:
Asking for an opinion between Nikon or Canon is like asking about religion. Both sides will argue until they fall unconcious. The truth is, both Nikon and Canon make fantastic D-SLR cameras. If you owned a Nikon film SLR in the past and still have lenses, you already have a start on a Nikon kit. Almost all Nikon "F" mount lenses made will work on current Nikon digital SLR cameras. A recent exception is the Nikon D40 and D40x - they will autofocus only with Nikon "AF-S" lenses.Canon, on the other hand, is as equally used by professionals as Nikon. They don't have the decades of lens compatibility that Nikon does, but they do have a very developed hypersonic motor focusing system that they have used since the creation of the Canon "EF" lens mount. (Nikon uses their similar "AF-S" technology, but Canon did it first.)Consider both brands equally and be sure to make your final decision standing in your local camera store with the cameras in your hands. Specifications and test reviews on the Web can only tell you so much. Eventually, you have to TRY the cameras and discover which one is for you.-- http://www.lenslenders.com

Question : Digital Camera?
I'm planning on doing some heavy traveling. Of course I'd like to capture it all in photographs. However, I don't know much about Digital Cameras-what should I look for in a Digital Camera?

Answer:
This may sound obvious, but you should look for price, quality and function. Are you looking for a small compact camera, or is a larger, bulkier DSLR for you? Is a 3x zoom good enough for you, or do you need to the ability to change lenses? In terms of quality, most camera manufacturers will advertise the number of pixels (megapixels) for a particular camera. This number gives the number of pixels ("dots" making up an images) of an image captured by the camera at its highest resolution. Of course, the higher the number, the better, especially if you are going to crop or create large prints of the image. However, this number does not tell the whole story, as the quality of the image is ultimately determined by the quality of the optics and the sensor itself. Focus, color, etc. all play a roll in picture quality. Because of this, I would tend to lean towards a known brand (Canon, Nikon, Olympus, Fuji, Sony, etc.) Note that the more pixels an image has, the more memory it will require to store that image. More on this below.Function is the other factor. Is video capture important to you? Many compact point and shoot cameras have this feature. Note that, though this feature is convienent, I have found that the quality of the video pales compared to a dedicated camcorder. Need the ability to swap lenses? Then I would consider a DSLR. Though bulkier (and more expensive) than point and shoots, the quality of the images taken by DSLRs tend to be better. If you are coming from the film world, you should be aware that digital cameras are notorious for relatively long lag times. Lag time is the time between the time you press the shutter release button to the time the photo is actually taken. This is due to technical reasons. Look for cameras with the smallest lag time. DSLRs tend to have very small lag time compared to point and shoots, though advances have been made in this area. Also, check for the cameras start-up time; the time it takes for the camera to get ready for the first shot when first turned on.Since you will be travelling, I would get a decent sized memory card. Whatever camera you get would probably not be packaged with a card of sufficient size. I would recommend at least 1GB. All cameras take memory of a particular format (SD, Compact Flash, xD, Smart Media). The maximum memory available may be limited by the format of the memory. For example, the largest capacity for SD cards I've seen to date is 4GB, while Compact Flash may go up to 8GB and beyond. Though its been a while since I've seen one, I would avoid cameras using Smart Media, as the maximum memory limit is inherent in the camera. The number of photos you can take with a card is determined by the size of your memory card and the size of each image stored by the camera. Most cameras will give you a choice of storing images in raw, uncomressed format, or in compressed jpeg. Unless you are a professional photographer, you are probably going to use your camera in jpeg mode. On top of this, many cameras will allow you to control the compression/quality level. Of course, the higher the compression factor, the lower the quality of the image. For reference, on my Nikon D50 DSLR, a 6.1 megapixel image in normal quality takes up 1.5Mb, while an image on my 2.3 megapixel Fuji takes up .5Mb.Battery life is important. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to find out the number of shots a camera can take on a single charge, though you may find ancedotal reports on certain models. Again, DSLRs tend to have longer battery life, as you don't use the LCD display to frame your picture. For reference, I can usually take about 50 shots on my point and shoot, vs. 500 shots on my DSLR, both with significant flash use. You may consider getting a spare battery. To summarize my advice:+ Right price range...+ Point and Shoot or DSLR?+ Stick to brand names in the industry (unless you had phenomenal experience with an unknown brand...)+ High megapixels (and good optics) = higher resolution photos, but eats more memory+Short lag time and startup time.+Avoid cameras taking SmartMedia.Good luck, and happy travelling!

Question : What can an advanced digital camera do that a regular point and shoot can't?
I can't afford a dslr, so I'm thinking about getting an advanced digital camera. What can an advanced digital camera do that is similar to a dslr? And what can an advanced digital camera do that a regular digital point-and-shoot can't? Thanks in advance.

Answer:
The advanced cameras will offer aperture priority, and shutter priority, and manual (ASM) modes. This allows you to control your camera to obtain certain artistic effects or shoot in difficult lighting conditions. Small P&S cameras usually don't have the ASM modes, DSLR's have ASM modes. The advanced P&S cameras usually have more zoom range over the small P&S cameras. The main difference between any P&S camera and a DSLR is the physical sensor size and interchangeable lenses. Due to sensor size, a dinky P&S and a advanced P&S won't have much difference in image quality due to the small sensors. There is a noticeable difference between P&S and DSLR in image quality due to sensor size. Most DSLRs don't have video mode or live view, but that is changing.

Question : Digital camera?
I have a digital camera and its been acting weird. I won't let you take pictures because it says on the bottom right corner that its on lock. I looked through the manual and I asked a bunch of people but they don't know how to get it off lock. Anyone know?

Answer:
Well, I don't know what brand of camera you have.If you are absolutely sure it's not in the manual, how about you try Googling it... or go to the brand name website. If it doesn't say anything on their website or on Google, you can try calling a contact number (should be on the website) and just quickly ask them. They should be able to help you out.

Question : What digital camera would you suggest to buy?
My cousin and I really don't know anything about buying a good digital camera. My cousin needs one and she said she's willing to pay up to $300 for a camera. She wants one that has a rechargeable battery. If you have any good suggestions about what digital camera to purchase please let me know your opinion and where could we find it brand new with a good value.Ohh i forgot to put that she needed a waterproof digital camera because we're going to Philippines and take the camera to beaches. What's a good waterproof camera?

Answer:
The samsung cameras are really good. I had one which was digimax S500 and I took really good pictures, but I took it to Mexico on a mission trip and it got wet so it stopped working. I bought the latest version which was the digimax S630 in green, but the screen broke. I have an HP camera now and I dont really like it, my mom has a digimax S630 in silver and Im always taking it. They are like $100 but they take 2 AA batts, I have the energizer rechargable though. But for like $150 I think they have some that have the recharable battery. I really like those cameras, I've had plenty of cameras and that one has great quality, you can also choose the option when taking a pic that it flashes twice so you cant blink. I took pictures last year at prom a couple months before it got wet in Mexico and I got them printed out at Costco and they looked great. I really love those cameras, I hope I can get the screen on my green one fixed before I go on my trip to Sydney this July.

Question : What digital camera do you recommend?
I want to buy a digital camera in the next few months and am aware some of the 'better' digital cameras are very pricey. I looked at previous questions to see which cameras are recommended but this doesn't help me make a decision, I also looked at reviews online. Could anyone answer the question stating the digital camera they use, and an example of photography they have taken using the camera without any editing and why they personally think it is a good camera (e.g. easy to use, photo quality, functions of the camera). Thanks! My budget is £500. I am open to all suggestions as this will help me make a better decision.

Answer:
This is a question only you can answer, if your keen on photography and want to get the maximum control then it has to be a DSLR. There are just too many restrictions with a compact, small sensor and shutter delay are just two. The only advantages they do have is size and portability. When you buy a DSLR you are buying into a system, the camera is just the down payment. The resolution of the camera just determines the size of picture you can print without adding (or removing pixels - 'interpolation), nothing else. As a guide a 6Mp camera will print 'natively' at a tad over A4, a 10Mp at A3+, but that does mean you can crop half the pixels away and still have enough for a good A4. I have 2 Pentax DSLR's a *istDS (6Mp) and a K10D (10Mp) this means I can use the same lens to do comparative tests. When printed at A4 size I can see no difference, even with a magnifying glass, at A3 you don't need the magnifying glass the difference is easy to see, the 10Mp K10D wins hands down. The make of DSLR does not matter one jot, the lens quality does, so go for the most functions for the money. Pentax score heavily here, having Anti Shake in camera means ALL you lenses are Anti Shake, there's not a price premium to pay as with other makes. Plus there are a massive range of quality old lenses all of which can be used on their DSLR's (with some limitations).Chris

Question : What kind of digital camera do you have?
I don't really know anything about digital cameras but I want to buy one. What are the cameras called, that are not digital, just "normal" ones? I used to like those better because the quality seemed to much more professional. The lighting seemed warmer, colors seemed brighter. On digital cameras it seems that everything looks paler, etc. Is it just me? I wanted a digital camera that had those qualities to it, with a good price, if possible. What kind of digital camera do you have?

Answer:
There are film (some technophobes call them analog) and digital cameras. There's nothing more or less "professional" about film or digital. It's just a personal (or financial) choice everyone has to make for themselves. I used film and love the pictures I got from it, but I believe my digital pictures are every bit as good.Digital sensors reproduce pictures more like slide/transparency film than print/negative film. If you've never shot slides, it can be a more difficult adjustment for many. The only type of picture that film is significantly better/different than digital is black & white. B&W film is made with silver chunks that give a unique look that is very difficult for digital to reproduce. If you want the closest to film look, you'll need a D-SLR with a CMOS sensor (all the new Nikons, D5000 and above as well as Canon & most Sonys). The biggest advantages for digital are 1) less wasted materials & chemicals and 2)easily switching light sensitivities (ISO) for bright & dark.I use a Nikon D300 and love it.

Question : What is the best digital camera for self portraits?
I am looking to purhcase a digital camera so I can specfically take self portraits. I know many cameras offer timers but my photos will be heavily posed and such so I need to have the maximum amount of control from a distance. I will not be purchasing a $500 camera so please keep a low budget in mind or at least bracket the information like under $200 or under $300 so I can understand the price points and what the additional price has to offer. I am expecting a camera at no less than 5 mp but at such a low budget I am not expecting a whole lot else.... The photos will range from studio photos, head shots, candids and such. Is a digital SLR the only way to go or can this be done with a cheap digital point and shoot? Are there any with remote options? If you have any technical tips for self portraiture please give them.I am looking for specific makes and models of cameras that have remote capabilitiy. 10 seconds is not enough time- I need to have actual control of when teh photo is taken- not just a timing mechanism.I have already looked around to find information about good self portraiture cameras but all the sights list cameras with too simplisitc timers and don't give any useful information.I have a pentax SLR film camera so I already know how to run manual settings. I am specifically looking for digital cameras that can be used from a distance.

Answer:
I don't fully understand how it works, but check out the Canon Powershot SD430, which has WiFi. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=8612&A=details&Q=&sku=418128&is=REG&addedTroughTyp e=categoryNavigationI saw somewhere that the Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1 has a remote control, but if you were going to spend that kind of money, you could choose from any number of DSLR's that seem to all have remote control capabilities.I also read that the Panasonic DMC-FZ50 has a remote control, but can not confirm this. Same for the Olympus Evolt series.
