Question : does anyone know how to fix a sony camera lens that is stuck
i have a sony cybershot digital camera (DSC-W55) and unfortunately my sister dropped it, now the lens is stuck. i went to the sony service centre yesterday and they said they had to replace the lens, and it will cost 3000+ PHP (not including the labor) im still hoping to find an alternative to fix it, a much more cheaper one, coz i dont think they have to replace it since the lens isnt broken, its just stuck. hope someone can help me asap

Well, a lens mechanism works on a rack and pinion arrangment, when you droped it one teeth of the gearwheel slipped in so it is tilted to one side and hence it won't move. The best way to fix it is to change the lens unit, but befor that you can try a little by yourself. Check carefuly which side the lens is tilted, now swith off the camera and try to tilt the lens unit to the opposite side this may bring the sliped teeth in to right position (you can hear a faint click from the camera if you do it right). Be carefull while doing it, if you apply more pressure it may spoil the camera further..

Question : samsung camera lens stuck out and slightly bent
omg ,. so i just got a new camera earlier and i took some pictures. when i went to charge it and put them on my computer, the lens was stuck out and slightly bent. i tried evrything and it wont go back in .help
