Because it's not just a game or a sport, it's much more than that to the supporters and players alike. It becomes a part of you in a way, say your team gets flogged, you feel the heartache of losing but if your team is winning you ride the highs with them. How many of you couldn't leave your seat during a game because there was less than a converted try in it with only 6 minutes remaining on the clock. Rugby League also bridges the cultural divide between people as they unite together from all the different walks of life to join as one in support of their team. The game of Rugby League itself is also a brilliant spectacle to watch, you have the "big hits" and the "hit ups" from the forwards with the speed and agility from the back line combined with individual brilliance from a host of players every game. Then you have the atmosphere at the live games as well, it can't be described adequately enough in words, you just have to be there to experience it.
