Question : How do I get my camera lens to retract
My Canon digital camera's lens won't retract. It's stuck sticking out and no mattter what I do it won't go back in. I think sand got stuck in it on vacation last week, and I tapped it against my desk and a lot came out, but it's still stuck. I'm going to a concert tomorrow night of course, and I need my camera to work. Are there any other things I can try

Question : ok my camera lens wont retract and when i turn the camera on it turns it self off what should i do
ok i have a kodak easyshare m893 IS and one time it turned itself off cause of low battery and did not retract the lens back in...well i went to charge the battery and it never charges...then i tried putting a new battery in and it still wouldn't turn on or charge...me and my mom are going to wal-mart to see what to do...plz help my dad bought me this camera and i don't want to tell him it broke...also we're going to wal-mart, that's where i got it, and seeing if they know what the problem is and if it can be fixed....no it was not dropped...i take good care of something my dad bought me...my mom not as much....

hey i got a digital camera for my birthday did exactly the same thing, turned itself off, tried new batteries, sim cards everything in the end i took it back that is your best policy,it should be under warranty. its obviouslt a fualt with the camera.
