Question : warranty for my digital camera
i lost my camera a few days ago at a bonfire. :( and i cant find the papers that came with it, so does anyone know the warranty for it i just got it in july....and its a sanyo vpc-5500.
Answer:
If you just had the standard warranty that came with the camera, you won't be covered. And, depending on the camera the warranty may not be good anymore. Most are good for a year, but some are much shorter. If you purchase a protection plan seperately, there is a chance that they cover it for being lost, most don't (the only insurance I know of that would cover something like this is travel insurance, but that doesn't help much here) However, even if the warranty or insurance you had for the camera did cover it getting lost, without any paperwork, they will not allow you to claim it. You would need serial numbers, model numbers, most likely a policy number, etc. So unfortunately, in this situation I don't think there is much that you can do. I would suggest going to the store where you bought your camera to see if they have any suggestions or know for sure if a lost camera is covered or not.

If you happen to go here it's located in Shurdun Camera Repair Shop in 709 R. Hidalgo St. Quiapo, Manila, PHMy cam's prob is on its shutter. there's a string attached to the moving shutter that is entangled so the technician fixed it in an hour and voila i have it again.
