Question : How can i get film from my camcorder onto my computer
I HAVE A DAZZEL DVC 90 AND THIS PLUGS INTO THE USB PORT BUT I KEEP GETTING AN ERROR MESSAGE CAPTURE DEVICEINITIALIZATION FAILURE AND IS TRYING TO INITIALIZE A DV OR DIGITAL8 CAMCORDER VIA A 1394 PORT WHAT DOES THIS MEAN CAN YOU HELP MANY THANKS
Answer:
Ok. There are a few things you need to check.1. Are you using the proper port To transfer video from a dv you must use the firewire port (also known as the 1394 port). This IS different from a normal USB port. To make sure your computer has one go to your control panel, then click system and under the hardware tab you will find the device manage. There you can find out if your computer is equipped with one. If not, Fry's electronic has one you can buy for $20 and it comes with the needed cable.2. Are you using a strong enough cable If you are using the firewire connection then the cable you are using might not be powerful enough. The best firewire cable is the 4 prong to 6 prong because it can send and recieve the quickest.3. Is it the proper software Windows Movie Maker is the easist to use. If you have answered yes to all of these questions try reinstalling the driver and then the software.

Question : Hpqwmiex.exe stopped working, and hardware failure. What's going on
A few months ago, I started to get this error each time I started my laptop.Problem Event Name:APPCRASHApplication Name:hpqwmiex.exeApplication Version:2.0.1.9Application Timestamp:4457c3f7Fault Module Name:hpqwmiex.exeFault Module Version:2.0.1.9Fault Module Timestamp:4457c3f7Exception Code:c0000005Exception Offset:00005fe7OS Version:6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3Locale ID:1033Additional Information 1:6397Additional Information 2:a7081bc91b6d1ff4108a5ad90cfc9d60Additional Information 3:6397Additional Information 4:a7081bc91b6d1ff4108a5ad90cfc9d60Occasionally, upon boot, I get an alert about installing a 'base system device' and an IEEE 1394 Controller. I have no idea what these things are.Since then, I started having problems with my multi-card reader not recognizing my camera's memory card, and discovered this morning that my CD/DVD drive was also not being recognized by my computer. Just what the heck is going on here Are these problems related Where should I go to have it fixedCol - I've had previous issues with a hot GPU, causing the computer to cut power to itself. I now have speedfan and keep it well dusted to monitor and avoid this happening again. However, I often find my computer's display in scan lines, although sound remains active (ex: music will keep playing). Each incident happens weeks apart.Do these things also lend themselves to cascading issues
