Question : Is a DCR-SR80 60GB Sony camcorder compatible with the new SPK-HCC marine case
The new DCR-SR82 60GB Camcorder is listed(the next model after the DCR-SR80 60 GB Sony Camcorder) so I wondered if anyone had tried to use the DCR-SR80 in the new Spk-HCC Marince Sports pack.

Answer:
I don't know, but if the Sony housing doesn't work with your model, you might want to consider the Ikelite housing at this link: http://www.ikelite.com/web_two/sony_dcr_sr80.htmlI have an Ikelite housing for my Sony Camcorder and I've been very satisfied with it. It's solidly built, and although it's heavy out of the water it's only slightly negatively buoyant in the water.

Question : Settings for underwater photography
Hi everyone,I own a Sony W-5 and just bought the marine pack for it. Can anyone provide advice on how I should set my camera for optimal results in terms of EV, White Balance, ISO, etc. I would be basically using it for snorkeling no more than 15 feet. Thanks.

Answer:
Only .JPG If so, the first thing you want to do is fine tune your WB underwater with a plastic grey card using your custom balance controls. That will do wonders for your colors. The blue cast of the water really tends to throw off the WB algorithms in a digital camera.Secondly, I would suggest that you use the lowest ISO you can without blurring your pictures. Small digis are known for high noise.Lastly, if that camera has a .RAW mode then use it. You will have much more flexibility in correcting color problems.
