Question : HP Photosmart E427
I bought this item online in ebay and I'm excited to tell all my family and friends about it but in my heart i'm still in doubt if I should continue to purchase the item because majority says its not good especially that we already have a digi cam at home. But I wanted to have my own.Can someone help me with this I want to know the spefication s and great features of it that isolate it from the other brands known for digicam like Sony Cybershot or Canon

Well, I guess if you were working with a budget, then this is probably the best you can do, but in all honesty, this is a mediocre camera. I'm not trying to be overly negative, but if you were to wait and save up about $150 you could get a camera from a company like Canon. While HP is recognized in terms of computing products, not much can be said for their camera products.The biggest problems I see with your camera is the fact that it doesn't have any optical zoom- if you want to zoom in on your pictures, it does not actually move any lens glass, it does it digitally within the camera, and digital zoom will wreak havoc on the quality of your photos. I just think if you at least get a camera with optical zoom you'll be able to get pictures that you'll really be proud of.If you haven't already purchased it, save up some money and get the Canon Powershot A560 ($150). It's a 7 megapixel camera with 4x zoom, and it has a larger 2.5" LCD which is just about standard for digital cameras nowadays so it's even easier to view your pictures. I just feel as though HP isn't a company that can spend enough time to really compete effectively in digital photography like companies like Canon and Nikon.

If anybody has the HP Photosmart E427 6 Megapixel Digital Camera. Can you please tell me.....1. Is this camera any good2. the battery life3. any other thing I need to know about the camera. Good or bad

Stay with Sony, Canon, Nikon and Fuji. Consider the Canon A630. Excellent on batteries when using AA rechargeables, 8 megapixels, 4X optical zoom. Has shutter priority, aperture priority or just leave on auto. Has viewfinder that can conserve battery life instead of always using lcd screen.
