On September 20th, 2009 03:39 a visitor came here looking for "kodak easyshare v1233 doesn't turn on" and that person was viewing the following page:
Kodak EasyShare M893IS 8.1MP Digital Camera with 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom (Blue)
As expected I bought this as a Yuletide present for my 15 year old daughter. My 17 year old also has the same camera in a different color. This is remarkably easy ...

Question : Needing a good digital camera
My Kodak Easyshare V1233 camera that I've had for a couple of years just quit. I purchased a new model, but was not satisfied with the quality of the pictures. I then looked at a Sony Cybershot camera, but I do not like the fact that you can not place a date stamp on the picture. I've got a new baby at home, and it is nice to have a date on the pictures for scrapbooking and such. Can anyone tell me of a good camera that takes vibrant pictures and has the date stamp featureThanks.

Question : Do I have to have Windows XP for the Kodak Easyshare or can I take pictures off by clicking on removable disk
I really want to get the Kodak Easy Share 12.0MP HD V1233 digital camera but I don't have Windows XP and it says it requires XP or higher. But does this mean for the software to be able to work Couldn't I just plug it in using the USB cord and go to "My Computer" then click on "Removable Disk F:" and take off the pictures from there Or will it not recognize the camera at allI just have my heart set on getting it because of the great reviews but it looks like I won't be able to get it because of my old PC. :(Any help would be greatly appreciated, also any recommendations for cameras requiring Windows 200/ME would be nice :)
Answer:
I have Vista and it doesn't like the install disk one bit. The install disk has all the cool stuff you can do to your photos. If however, you just want to put the pictures on your computer the camera uses a mini digital card that can be slipped into a dock on the side of a laptop or pc. If that is the case, go for it My Kodak Easyshare printer dock, my Razor phone and my pc are all equipped with BlueTooth and that is a great combination, all three talk to each other and I print photos wirelessly from my pc and phone. How cool is thatIf you want to mess with photos, XP would be the way to go. Right now I don't know of any compatible inexpensive programs for photo manipulation on Vista (other than PhotoShop and the like), but I'm sure the powers that be are working on it.Either way I would go for the camera. Good luck and have fun
