Question : How do I keep Windows Movie Maker from creating multiple movie clips from one imported clip
Every time I try and import a movie file into Windows Movie Maker, it wants to break it up into multiple movie clips (sometimes hundreds). It invariablly causes some kind of instability and the program closes. Surely there's a way to stop it from breaking it up like this

better instead of importing the video clip , try click and drag the file to the collections

Question : How to get Movie Maker to import a video in smalls segments
Sometime ago, I saw Movie Maker import a video from a vid camera and deposit in into the work area in subsections. Example one 5-minute video was imported as 5 small 1-minutes videos.How can this be set
Answer:
Open WMM and go to capture video there is a section for creating clips. this is based on a time stamp created by your camera. Go to capture video go through the sections until you get to the last screen "capture"there are 3 box's at the bottom the first one asks if you want to create clips. Make sure its checked once you video in captured it will make small clips for you Good luck RR
