The Sprint One Click interface. | This phone features Sprint's One Click navigation interface, which places eight shortcut tiles along the bottom of the home screen. Instead of navigating through endless phone menus, you can put the things you use the most--features like call logs, texting, Web access and GPS navigation--right up front with instant information related to each feature. For example, when you scroll to text messaging, you'll see the number of new messages received and a single click takes take you to the newest messages. Here's how it works: - Add your favorite items to the carousel, which is a row of tiles along the bottom of your phone's home screen.
- The carousel can hold up to 15 tiles, which you can add, remove and rearrange to suit your needs.
- Highlight a tile to reveal its menu on your home screen.
- Add up to 8 "bubbles"--at-a-glance items that display on your home screen, like the weather or your daily horoscope.
- Browse and download new tiles from your phone's "Personalize Home Screen" tile. New tiles are available every two weeks.
- Press your navigation left or right key to select a tile; up or down to select a bubble or menu item.
- The "Home" tile always stays put, so you can easily get back to your default display.

Great Phone with Limitations
This phone looks good. I actually have the version for Boost Mobile that is like a mirror and I paid $125.00 for it with no plan.
What I like. 1. The front of the phone looks cool and you can dial from the Keypad in front 2. It has a little slide bar in the bottom that unlocks the phone. I once had a phone with dialing in the front and it was always dialing numbers. I like that I can't accidentally dial out. 3. The Keyboard is very spacious for a phone keypad lots of space in between the numbers I don't need to use my fingernail to text on this phone. 4. Contrary to another post. This phone uses standard Micro USB adaptor for charging. I was in a hurry to be complete and wanted the ability to easily make return in the event that the equipment wouldn't work so I bought it at Target. It uses the same adaptors as the Blackberry. No proprietary charging interface like someone else wrote 5. It has a 2.5mm jack at the top. My Motorola phone didn't so I had needed to buy a funky adaptor to use with the Motorola phone. This one I can use a standard headset. Naturally it also has bluetooth but for me bluetooth is another battery to charge.
6. Another nice feature was that the guy in Radio Shack hooked my old phone with this one using BlueTooth and transferred all my contacts phone to phone. My daughter was disappointed because usually when I buy a new phone I pay her to transfer the contacts but I was thrilled. Walking out of the store with a phone with all my contacts was sweet.
What I don't like. 1. It is a little proprietary in the software so if I want to use a GPS system I have to pay for it. It won't operate with the free Google GPS. It will access Google Maps so you can get directions but you can't use the GPS feature without paying. 2. That slide bar can be a little hard to find when answering a call. I found a way around that though. You can set the phone in settings to "answer any Key" and to answer the phone just open it really quickly and tap any key on the inside close the cover and you are off and running.
3. I don't like that as soon as you are on a call key guard comes in to play and to hang up the call you have to use the slider than hang up the call. I tried disabling Keyguard but the front of the phone is activated electrostatically and my cheek making contact with the phone caused vibrations. So disabling Keyguard is not an option.
4. In Bright sunlight I was unable to see the front display. I was able to access my contacts and make a call in bright sunlight by opening the phone
5. The front display, when phone is closed is a little small so I would have liked a few extra lines showing. Would make it easier to find contacts.
In summation this is a really great phone for texting and all around use. The spacious keyboard and the Styling make up for the drawbacks. I am satisfied with my purchase. Also the pricing is a sweet spot for me. I just didn't want to pay the extra $100.00 for the BlackBerry and the Keyboard Layout is superior to the BlackBerry too.

its an alright phone...
I bought the Silver Boost mobile model from a store in town.
I mainly got this phone because of Boost's pay as you go plan (its like 10cents a minute and ~12$ a month for unlimited data or like 50$ for unlimited talk/text/data). I have another phone for minutes that i get cheaper and wanted this mainly for the internet and apps. With the data plan i basically get Unlimited Data/Text (text via Google voice), which means i have to go to the web browser (which is a pretty basic browser or you can use opera mini which works nice) then i have to login to [...]/voice, the only downside is you don't get alerts of when people text you.
When i use the internet typing is alright for my big/fat fingers, the only thing i find cumbersome is typing numbers, the numbers go across the top row of letters, and you have to use the [FN] button. In Opera Mini you have to hold the [FN] and then hold for about 2 seconds or cycle through the number (pushing [FN]+Q will give you a list of things to display (i.e. in no particular order " . " ' : ; , / \ ") and at the end of the list is 1.)
First i highly, highly suggest you buy a screen protector and a case for the phone, the mirror surface will scratch and show finger prints like mad.
I am disappointed with the lack of java apps (i have yet to find many useful ones), my phone also locks up every now and then, and sometimes it will lock up and show a message "Please wait while phone restores itself" (or soemthing like that) for about 10-20 minutes.
I have also had problems with the phone not displaying anything or turning off randomly after closing/opening the phone.
Online video support is pretty horrible. When the phone was first released you couldn't watch videos, with the new firmware you can watch youtube videos, but the video player is pretty bad, sometimes it wont play the whole video and will exit prematurely, and other times will cause the phone to lock up.
Others say that they have a problem with the Keyguard on the phone (its poorly positioned) I don't, i can either slide it with my ring finger or will use my other hand. I wish the phone would auto lock the keypad when it closes. Sometimes it is activated, other times its not.
I like the Mirror effect, except it would have been nice if they couldv'e done something to define the keys more (maybe a dimple, or a texture). The outside screen is extremely basic, its 1 color (white), and has l limited functions, you cannot read text messages, or create/send text messages while the phone is closed. About the only thing the screen can do is go through contact, history, missed alerts, and create a voice memo. The screen also has a "hall of mirror effect" If you look at the screen at an angle you can see it better, its reflected multiple times behind the screen.
The battery life of the phone is alright... it depends on how much you use it, but i find that i need to charge it at least once a day.
Personalizing the phone is somewhat easy, the only problem i have is that i cannot put certain items into the "Carousel" like apps (mainly Opera Mini). Most of the other apps on the phone are pretty basic.
If you like to use speakerphone, you might be disappointed in the volume/quality, i find that its not very loud. Even when watching Youtube videos its sometimes hard to hear the video.
I don't use the phone that often for calls, in fact i hardly ever use it. So i can't really comment on the quality of calls using this phone, but from what i have used its worked just fine.

Great phone
This is a great midrange phone. It does more than what most people probably use and almost as much as a smartphone. Unless you are in the market for a smartphone this is a great overall product.I wont go over everything it does.(read the descrition on that) It does most of it very well and there is an update coming to make it(the boost version)better and programs like operamini 5 that makes the web browsing almost like computer browsing. Battery life is great with normal usuage. Like ANY cell phone out there if you use it all day long to text, talk and browse its probably not going to last the 5.1 hours of talk time.LOL
I know some have an issue with the placement for the lock button. Im left handed so it works well for me. When locking or turning the phone on just hold in in your left hand use your thumb than switch hands. Not a big del really.
As for the other gripes from comments here (namely the 2 and 1 star reviews)they are nitpicky and very unfair. Especially the one star review by 2ONfpr5r. He cant even open the phone because he doesnt know the orientation.LOLOLOLOLOL simple. The phone is opened from the right side. You will know if the phone is upside down it the reciever/speaker hole is on the top and the sprint/boost logo is on the bottom. If you are reading sprint or boost mobile upside down you know you are holding the phone wrong.lol Why 2ONfpr5n had a problem with this is beyond me. Not a good thing(and stupid) to complain about. Oh and these types of phones arent engineeered to be opened with one hand as our 1 star reviewer seems to feel.(another complaint he had) A side clamshell has to be opened with two, if not you run the risk of dropping it. This is not as small as a flip phone and shouldnt be treated as such.

Bye Bye Sprint, Hello Boost Mobile?
Where's your cash at? I know where mine is...
My bill went from a varying +/- $100 a month with Sprint to a fixed $54 a month "unlimited with Boost Mobile"... And "Boost CDMA" phones run on the Sprint network. Never dropped a call since I got it, my GF who has AT&T gets more drops lol. Sprint has been robbing me for over 8 years! Prepaid is the way to go today, I know prepaid sounds bad, but hey who doesn't have to cut spending nowadays?

Good phone for texting/email/browsing
Pros: Comfortable keyboard for email/texting. Nice sized screen and pretty good web browser for mobile web. Decent build quality and nice look/feel.
Cons: Cover keypad auto-locks too quickly during a phone conversation - can be quite annoying when you need to enter numbers. No advanced productivity features. Very poor app support.
Bottom line: A good phone if you just use it for browsing/texting/email. The browser is good, and the email interface (with common mail servers such as Google and Yahoo!) is easy to use. This phone is clearly designed for a younger group of customers who mainly text, browse, use Facebook and Tweeter. It is not designed for professionals at all. If you want a smartphone that loads Google Maps with full features, runs various productivity softwares and is great for voice calling and multimedia, look elsewhere.
I purchased this phone not from Spring but from Boost Mobile for its pay as you go plan with wireless 3G data service at a very, very reasonable price. If you are like me, someone who spends a lot of time in front of computers at work and at home, mostly make internet voice calls on computers, doesn't need so many minutes as on regular monthly cell phone plans and doesn't want to pay for the over-priced data plan for mobile web... then for you this would be a good little extra device for mobile web browsing when you don't have a computer or WIFI connection on you main cell phone.
If you need a monthly calling plan with data service and are willing to pay for it, many other phones are much, much better.

Brilliant !!!!!
This camcorder was the best purchase we have made for yonks!
It was much much smaller that expected, even smaller that our current 3 megapixel camera (which will probably be thrown in the trash now.) It was much better filming quality than we expected, and much better picture quality than expected. The difference in our 3.2 megapixel to the 6 megapixel is worlds apart.
I checked out the filming quality on the Sanyo web site as they have samples. I thought the samples were good, but I really think the actual quality is better that the Sanyo web site.
I can't put this thing down.
I haven't got the hang of taking shots with one hand yet because it seems a bit too small for my hands.....is that good or bad?
Really good Camcorder/Camera...../Toy

Falls out of your hand
Overall, while it is certainly provides one with a very small Camcorder we found it quite difficult to hold and operate. The strap and main unit is not very ergonomically designed for a one-hand operation and it is very small to hold with two hands. Software is not very straight forward to make DVDs. Overall, I would not buy if I had manually tested it at a shop.

A Spectacular Digital Camcorder
This camcorder is unquestionably the best piece of digital hardware I've purchased in recent memory, and I would very highly recommend it to any other customer - as long as he/she is willing to work with the options menu and learn to tune settings appropriate to the recording/photo situation. This brings out the best in the camera, which is superb.
After reading the rest of the reviews on the site, I'm a bit surprised at those which mention poor image quality. The images I've taken have been crystal clear at all but the highest resolutions. This camera particularly excels at photography of light and reflection, catching light halos and metallic glints with exceptional brilliance - one of the most creative and fun ways I've found to use it has been to purposefully take photos of fast-moving light sources, which leave spectacular and intense trails in an artistic effect. Conventional photos are also very, very clear, with great emphasis on color. Image quality is particularly crisp if one uses the 10MB setting (yes, it goes higher than 6 megapixels) and then downsizes the photos in an image editor. At the full 10MB setting with no downsizing, grain can definitely be seen, but this corresponds to a resolution of 3680x2760 pixels - unlikely to be used for less than high-level professional editing, which is usually the domain of much more expensive equipment.
Video is sharp and distinct, with videos appearing in the MP4 format - not necessarily the widest-distributed format to convert and work with, as others have noted, but the positive tradeoff is improved quality and smaller file sizes. QuickTime and Adobe Premiere have no problems at all with this format and are good choices for video editing. A 2GB memory card provides 1hr20min of 640x480 video, or plus-5-hours of 320x240 video. I used this camera to record several live performances of my roommate's band in dimly lit clubs, with the resulting footage good enough to make an underground DVD from - which they did.
I generally don't use this camera for audio recording, however, it should be noted that the above-mentioned band performances were recorded with this camera and came out quite listenable.
As far as ergonomics and usability are concerned, some have mentioned the lack of a true tripod mount - this is probably the biggest ergonomic flaw the camera has, but a good camera store (or simply some ingenuity - I used an adjustable nylon strap, resting the camera on a spare videogame controller, to rig the camera to my own tripod with quite fine results) should be able to provide a brace or other solution. In addition, the buttons on the control panel are very small, even for my fine-boned fingers, and might be very awkward for those with large hands. However, the camera is a joy to hold and use - I strongly disagree with the comment saying that this camera feels "cheap", and suspect that this person may simply be comparing it to a heavy metal-casing traditional camcorder (apples and oranges there). The screen is large, well-lit, and exceptionally crisp. After using it for nearly a year and a half, the screen has no serious scratches at all, so it's quite durable when properly cared for. The camera is also LIGHT, and can really be taken everywhere with no arm fatigue at all. I routinely take walks around whatever town I'm in, camera in hand, and snap close-up photos to use as textures in my digital artwork. And personally, I've found the handstrap to be ergonomic, comfortable, and it really does secure the camera well - at least for me! (Battery life, however, can tend to be somewhat short, usually giving me about two hours of continuous use, and it's easy to drain the battery if one forgets to disconnect after uploading to a PC, as the PC connection keeps the camera on.)
I can't speak to the water-resistance much, though I have used it in very heavy rain with no problems at all - though it is important to note that it's water-resistant, not waterproof, so it's not suitable for underwater use.
After pondering the other negative experiences in the reviews on this site with regard to image quality, I really have to believe that these people may be failing to make use of appropriate focus and color settings in the options menu. Any photographer knows that the best photos and videos result from proper focus and color calibration (or film in older cameras); this one is no different and can quite easily produce uninspiring images if the focus is set, for example, to wide-range for a close-up photo or vice versa, or if the white balance is set for indoor lights on an outdoor photo. In addition, it's easy to blur the image with a shaky hand, and I had this problem for about two days, which is really all the practice that's necessary to learn to keep a steady hand when taking pictures - there is also an image stabilizer in the options menu that works somewhat decently. For those willing to really learn the camera's ins and outs, the directional pad on the controls acts as a multi-shortcut controller that can change focus, lighting, and self-timing options on the fly for optimal pictures, though the options menu can be used as well. The only things I'd add would be a real tripod mount and a setting to use the self-timer on multiple pictures, though this last is very easy to do with the above-mentioned direction pad. I suspect those who've had poor experiences with the camera are not using it to its fullest capacity, though I don't know for sure.
To recap, pros and cons:
Pro: -Exceptional capture of light and reflection -Great image quality at all but 10 megapixel setting -Well-lit and highly readable screen -Extremely lightweight and snug in the hand -Can be used in the rain or near heavy spray -Greatly rewards users willing to learn the ins and outs of the camera settings and controls
Con: -No standard tripod mount -Battery life is not exceptional -Buttons are small and require finesse to operate -Not exceptionally suitable for those wanting a "one-touch" or "idiot-proof" experience
Overall, easily five stars. My personal experience has been more like five and a half; this is due to my willingness to fine-tune the camera and work with it to bring out the sharpest, correct-color pictures. I can say this camera really has enhanced my life and become a vital part of my work in computer design. But it might not be the best choice for those looking for the disposable-camera-like, one-touch experience. You'll have to decide for yourself - it's definitely worth a test drive in any case.

Not comfortable for large hands
This thing is a bit small for large hands and the controls are not 'finger friendly". The camera works OK as I didn't intend it to be anything more than just casual use. Battery life is good- will easily go all day with normal use. image quality is acceptable and in most instances good. Sound is weak but that is to be expected with this type of unit. The still camera mode is probably the weakest as it takes a long time to take a picture and at times I can't tell if its in the right mode yet to take a picture. The biggest plus is the overall size and weatherproof-ness. A small camera bag attached to a your belt doesn't feel like an anchor by the end ot the day and will hold the camera, extra SD cards and a battery. For the $ its reasonable as a grab n go.

Awesome Camcorder
Unlike the rest of the reviewers here, I bought this camcorder at a STORE in Singapore. This gave me a HUGE advantage to try out the camera BEFORE I bought it! I paid about US$450.00 for the CA6 [which included all the required cables, 2 CD-ROMs of software, carrying case, 2 batteries {one 1.5-hour and one 3-hour battery}, 4GB Ultra High-Speed SD card, 2 tripod mounts {no charge}, Multi-port USB hub for 4 different types of SD cards, power cords and adapter for U.S. and Singapore voltages].
After reading all the reviews here I can agree with SOME of the "Cons" comments.
Yes, it does NOT come with a tripod mount hole. However, the salesperson gave me two black plastic tripod mounts for FREE. It fits like a glove--no problems. Sorry, I don't know where to find these in the U.S. but I'm sure they're out there somewhere.
Yes, the hand strap is useless. Seriously, throw it away! It's not worth the effort. My wife gave me her camera strap to use and it can be fed through the bottom ring and that works much better.
The only way to protect the LCD screen and camera lens is to keep it in the carrying case when not in use. This case was a real convenience with the metal ring that could attach to the belt loop of my shorts or pants.
A lot of people are complaining about low light situations. I haven't noticed too much of this. The salesperson told me that this was a "Sports" model version. I was shown several other models by Sanyo that were similar to the CA6. This gave me the impression that the CA6 was geared more towards outdoor use and it has proved itself worthy.
It IS a small camcorder so it took a few days to get used to filming with it. PLUS, I'm LEFT-HANDED and used it like a stubborn left-hander in my left hand--but I finally got used to it. I know it wasn't designed with this in mind. However, I think it gave me an advantage over right-handers with bigger fingers. I didn't have to worry about using all the buttons and hold the camcorder at the same time. I know this sounds funny but if you're a left-hander you might appreciate this info. Yes, I AM one of those who has to use TWO hands to dial a phone number or play games on my little cellphone, hehe.
Oh, and using the highest quality DVD setting for video gives you about 2 hours and 45 minutes with the 4GB SD card.
Be sure to get some type of camera strap for this device--not the one provided [I think this was an Sanyo afterthought]. I realized this one day as I was 100 feet up in a skyride in Singapore. As I was dangling my feet, I wondered how awful it would be for the CA6 to slip out of my hand and watch it shatter into a 1,000 pieces below me.

Question : Free Boost Mobile Ringtones
I know there are a ton of questions like this already, but I've already been to ventones, and phonezoo, and all that. I have a Sanyo Incognito. It won't let me open them as files, and when I try to do it online, it sends me to a blank white screen that plays the song, but won't let me do anything else with it. So if you know of a website that ACTUALLY works, it'd be appreciated. Also, a friend of mine tried to download one of the ringtones to his phone and send it to me. I got it, and there was an option to assign it as a ringtone, but it said incorrect data If you have an answer to that too, it'd also be much appreciated. Thanks :)
Answer:
ventones is the site i useits easy because you can make your own ringtones or wallpapers. its free
