My Favorite New Toy
I'm unable to get into the technical aspects of the camera as I'm not familiar with the jargon. However, I love this camera. It is the perfect size and all of the features such as bubble eyed lense and color switch are fun and make for great pictures. I've owned three other canon cameras before this one with a Sony break in between. Owning my fourth Canon is like coming home. It is easy to use and the HD video is an added bonus. The quality of both photos and video are amazing. I would highly recommend this camera to anyone looking for a point and shoot that fits perfectly into any pocket.

Read the reviews, I agree this is a very basic, very good camera for your money. Quick, quality, color. You will not have any issues. Buy the camera.

Canon PowerShot SD1400IS
This is the first digital camera I have ever owned. After years of Polaroid 600 film, I thought it would be time to purchase something a little more cost effective. I did weeks of research and wanted to keep my price range within $200.00 - $300.00.
My wish list: 1. High resolution 2. Easy to use with an auto feature 3. Possible HD video recording 4. Lightweight
This camera is everything and more. Because I'm still working out the settings, I basically use everything in auto mode. There are enough feature on here to confuse someone who knows absolutely nothing about digital photography.
My only minor complaint is that on auto, the pictures it takes during night aren't very good. This could be easily resolved if I look up the different settings for taking better night time pictures. I want to use this while I go on road trips and watch bands play, so it has to do well at night.
It states that it has 14.1 MP, and I believe it. I took a picture of myself, and I was disappointed. The camera did so well that I could see every blemish, pore, and freckle. It was amazing.
If you need something that is compact, takes amazing pictures, and continually delivers great features, this is a camera for you. The great part of this camera is the functionality and the ease of use. You will not be disappointed.

best point&shoot/ pocket camera
Canon PowerShot SD1400IS 14.1 MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom and 2.7-Inch LCD (Pink)
It really was everything I hoped this camera would be. It's both portable and functional! I've researched for about a month reading reviews after reviews before I decided on this camera. It was actually between its sister in the SD series :Canon SD980IS. One of the reasons I picked this instead of the other is because it was just simple to use. If you've ever had a canon camera it was a no-brainer. This Canon SD1400 gave me crisp shots of pictures where I can zoom in to even my frickles ( I sometimes did not like--haha). Another quality was its battery life; It had not failed me during my trips to the beach. Don't forget the vibrant color of the camera itself! But if pink is not one of the colors you like, you might not love this camera as much as I do.
In conclusion, I absolutely love this camera for its looks, functions, and also the quality of the pictures. Many people say that there's no need for a high megapixel camera, but I say: "if you can captured an amazing billboard going 85 MPH on the other side of the road, why not get a great camera for the great price"

Modern and sculpted. Protective and secure. The Santiago pouch series safeguards ultra-compact, compact and pro compact cameras with distinctive style. Both sizes are crafted of a hard, ribbed shell with dense EVA foam padding. This construction ensures maximum protection from bumps and abrasion. Inside, an elasticized camera keeper strap secures hardware with a snug fit, and soft, brushed tricot lining helps protect the LCD screen and lens from scratches. An interior slip pocket provides convenient storage for a spare memory card. Additional features include: dual zipper pulls, a low-profile belt loop, and detachable shoulder strap. Santiago is available in two sizes: 20 (for compact cameras), and 30 (for pro compact cameras). Available in Black only.

Nice protection
It's a nice case but make sure that you measure your camera first as it doesn't stretch. If you camera fits it will be well protected. Great for folks who keep there camera in a purse. Have had zipper problems that knocked a star of the review.

Armor for your ultra-compact camera!
I've always been a fan of Lowepro camera cases, and the Santiago 20 is just another example of their quality cases. This is a semi-rigid case with a black nylon outer shell and a divider on the inside to keep an extra battery and a memory card or two. This case is hard enough to keep your camera from getting crushed in the bottom of a backpack and cushioned enough to keep it safe from a three-foot drop.
My only complaint is its size. This case is meant for the smallest of digital cameras, as I think my Pentax Optio H90 is tiny and it barely squeezes in. And when it's in, the zippers can be a little tough to close if the camera's not perfectly situated all the way inside. And for any Canon PowerShot S90 users, forget this case; it's way too small.
Personally, I think it makes a great little accessory case, so I'm using it carry an extra battery, some SD cards and my USB cable!

Durable and Compact
This case is designed for small digital cameras. The case has a belt loop which I like, because I prefer to mount the small case on my belt for easy access to the camera. The case itself is pretty hard, and should offer decent protection for the camera whether the case is on your body or in luggage, etc. The only potential drawback is accessing the camera, which really depends on your preference. When the case is on your belt, the camera lies horizontally inside the case with the zipper across the top of the case. There are two zippers, either of which can unzip the top of the case. It feels a bit unnatural to me to access the camera this way, but that really depends on your preference and only applies at all if you intend to wear the case on your belt. Overall, it is a very small, petty concern but I wanted to point it out in case it's important to someone.
The case is also very well-constructed - I expect it will outlast my new digital camera and then some.

LOVE THIS CASE!!
I cannot say enough nice things about this camera case. I needed assurance that my sweet little (and expensive to me) camera would remain safe. This product gives me that assurance. It holds the tiny little thing snug and fits like a glove. The hard outside leaves me feeling comfortable just sliding the camera into my purse. I haven't actually put it in water (as if), but I like that I don't need to feel overly concerned if it is raining and some water lands on the outside.

Does what it was meant to do and does it well.
Small hardshell camera case has inner pocket for media cards, elastic inner band to secure your camera or even a cell phone. Inside came a carry strap, outside two oversize zipper pullers to zip from either side, and a hook loop, for maybe a utility belt hook? I wasn't overly crazy they advertize their website printed on the outside, but it's not that bad.
When I said hardshell case I mean the good kind of hard. Stiffness is created by a heavy knit nylon with some sort of plastic in between. This means if you drop it instead of transfering the impact to whats inside or shattering the case itself, it gives just enough to bounce a little. Taking up the shock, and damaging neither camera nor case. I like it, now if I can only find my camera.
