| Editorial Review :
The Canon PowerShot A200 is an entry-level digital camera that delivers high-quality digital images at a great price. It's ideal for beginners in digital photography. It features a 2.0-megapixel CCD sensor that can capture images up to 1,600 x 1,200 pixels, producing prints up to 8 by 10 inches. It's also great for capturing imagery for Web pages. The bright f2.8 lens ensures pictures that are clear and sharp no matter what the occasion. Other features include a 4x digital zoom, built-in flash with red-eye reduction, and a 1.5-inch LCD viewer. The PowerShot A200 also features Canon's intelligent three-point focusing system--AiAF (Artificial intelligence Auto Focus). With AiAF, the subject is always in focus wherever they are in the frame. Simply point and shoot for great digital images. And it's not just a still camera; the PowerShot A200 is also capable of capturing short video clips. The PowerShot A200 is also directly connectable to optional Canon printer models CP-100 and CP-10. You can print a photo in just over 80 seconds by simply connecting the digital camera to the direct printer by means of a dedicated cable and selecting an image. Connect the camera to your Mac or PC via the included USB cable. Canon's software suite for PC/Mac includes the user-friendly Canon ZoomBrowser EX, PhotoStitch, and PhotoRecord. The PowerShot A100 stores images on CompactFlash cards, and an 8 MB starter CompactFlash card is included. It is powered by two AA batteries (either alkaline or NiMH rechargeable); two alkalines are included.

good and sturdy
Had this camera for years, held up to a lot of abuse before I sold it.

Terrible Camera
I got this camera for my birthday, and boy was I dissappointed with it. Every time I turned it on it said change the batteries. I changed the batteries and nothing happened. So I returned it and got the same one(I though mine was defective.) It had the same problem! So I returned it again and got the same one. The same problem!!!! But this time I got it to work for a minute. I took 2 or 3 pictures. The Digital zoom on it is terrible. I would advise you not to buy this camera. Dont waste your money. Buy the A40 instead.

Please Dont buy this!!!!
My dad got this camera free about a year ago. I finally learned how to step the camera up. I had to read the whole manual to do so. So far this camera has been horrible. It takes forever to focus, and the batteries run out after one day. If you have pets or small children this camera is not for you, because it takes to long to take pictures. ALso this camera comes with 2 MP. SO you can only hold up to 8-10 pictures at once. SO if this is your first time buying a camera make surw you dont buy this one, because even though it takes good pictres its just way to slow.

Beware of the flash
I find that this is a great camera for taking pictures outside. However, while inside, the camera is pretty useless unless you're a foot away from your subject. In fact, the camera tends to work better in full darkness rather than in partial light. Often I find myself having to carry a disposable camera with me which I use for inside or nighttime pictures. Also, the flash cannot be turned off...I've tried. If you do manage to turn it off, the camera refuses to focus and your pictures come out blurry. In conclusion, spend the few extra dollars to buy a camera with a better flash...you'll appreciate it in the long run

Recycle time stinks! Choose something else...
Overall, the A200 takes decent pictures. I've used the included software to send pictures via email, and I use an HP Photo printer when I want to print out pictures. Unfortunately, I have finally gotten tired of the S-L-O-W recycle time - that is, it takes forever for the flash to recharge and the lens to refocus after taking a previous photo. Groups posing for pictures have literally gotten up and said, "Forget it!" while waiting for my camera to finally take another picture. It is very frustrating!

great camara
This is the best camara I have ever owned. The only one thing I can say i wish was better is the red eye, but its an easy fix to make.. The size of it is awesome, so easy to take everywhere I go, many people think its a cell phone its so small...I wish they still made it in this size...I actually own 3 of them....

A long-time friend
I have had the PowerShot SD30 for over 3 years now and it has served me well. It is still up and running with a few minor problems. Sometimes the shutter won't completely open or close. I just give it a nudge and it goes into place, but it is still inconvenient. The buttons on the back are sticking and it's difficult to scan through pictures without accidentally pressing another button (and I have tiny fingers). But after three long years of being dragged around everywhere in my purse, this little guy has stood up very well.
The picture quality isn't as great as I wish it could have been. Indoor pictures in dim lighting are terrible, and sometimes you have to hold down the button for a very long time before the flash will even go off. When you want to catch something in the moment, you probably won't, and it's pretty hard to hold a not-so-fake smile for that amount of time.
This camera is durable and lasting in structure, but not so much in picture quality.

Love that Little Canon
I originally received the Canon Powershot SD30 5mp Digital Elph 3 years ago. On a recent cruise it was stolen, so the search to find another just like it began. Because it is so small, I have it will me all the time. It takes wonderful pictures. Everytime I take it out, someone comments on what a small camera it is, and then they can't believe the wonderful results.
Wish they still made this camera. I searched and found nothing comparable.

Canon Accessory Support
Camera itself is okay but be very careful buying this camera as the power cord adaptor for this product is discontinued and no longer supported by CANON.

Great camera; none like it today
I got this camera 3 years ago as a surprise for my wife, and she has loved it. It is very small so she can always take it with her in her purse. It has come in handy in the many situations in life where you want to take a photo and you thankfully have this camera handy. Today, I suppose people use their cell phones these purposes, but as you know, the image quality on cell phone cameras is horrendous. My wife can take a real photo and circulate to her family and friends who want something worth keeping.
After 3 years of use the LCD flickers, and it will need to be repaired. I first checked to see if Canon makes anything as small, and they don't, so we will spend the money to keepo using this camera. It is not a prosumer or DSLR replacement, but it is a camera we can and do take everywhere, and so it has captured some great shots we'd have otherwise missed.

Question : what is the latest model of canon digital camera and what is diffrences between these ?
i have bought cannos sd 630 . But i know there is latest model of canon digital camera in the market . So i want to know what can i do with my cannos sd 630 and what can't i do ?
Answer:
The Canon SD 630 is a very good compact camera.I don't think you should worry about the other models for now. I would wait till next year to see what is coming out. They are...SD800 IS, 7.1 MP, 3.7x opticalSD900, 10MP, 3x opticalA630, 8MP, 4x optical but larger in sizeThe two SD models just have more megapixels and the newer processor. And the SD630 has the same excellent movie mode...and has a large 3.0" LCD. Just make sure you use a fast SD card.

Question : Canon digital camera and other non canon lens?
I have a Canon Digital Rebel XT and I was wondering what other kinds of non canon brand lenses can I use with my camera? Currently I use a Canon 50mm 1.8 and the 18-55mm kit lens.
Answer:
Some lenses to consider are those from Sigma, Tamron, and Tokina. On average, each lens does not do as well as their Canon or Nikon counterparts, but still get the job done. If you want quality, get Canon lenses. If you want a cheap alternative, go to the third party brands. As for specifics, I use a Tamron 70-300mm f4-5.6 at the moment, but am going to upgrade to a 70-200mm VR once I save up enough money. The Tamron is good for the money, but slow to focus. I hear this also plagues the type with the built in motor. The type of lens you want depends on the type of shooting you're going to do. If you shoot landscapes, look into a wide angle lens, such as the Sigma 10-20mm or Tamron 17-50mm. For telephoto zoom, the 70-200mm f2.8 Tamron would be a good option. I don't care too much for the Sigma, because there are issues with the outer coating. For portrait work, I've heard good things about the Tamron 90mm macro, or the Sigma 70mm macro. I have not used Tonkina, but some people say they are good, while others do not. I guess the same goes for Sigma, but not so much with Tamron.

Question : Where can I get a nifty screen protector for my Canon digital camera?
A friend told me that they make those plastic protector things (that adhere just with static electricity) for digital camera screens so you don't scratch them. he said you can get them specifically for your make and model so they fit perfectly. I have a Canon PowerShot SX110 IS. Where can I find a protector for it?
Answer:
If you chose to go with the plastic protectors go to Walmart and by the targus at 2.79 than cut them by yourself. There are 4 in the box so if you make a mistake just throw it and cut a new one.If you chose to go with a custom made one made of glass be ready to spend around 30 dollars. Is it worth it for a camera that cost 240? Your call, I chose the Targus for my G10.

Question : How do I upgrade the lens of my canon powershot digital camera?
I have a canon digital camera with a 4x optical zoom. what kind of lens do i look for to upgrade to higher zoom? I am pretty camera dumb but am getting into pics so want a camera that wont get blurry upon getting far a way pics.I found telephoto lenses that are 3x does that mean that my new zoom would be 7x since I already have a 4x or does it replace what the camera already has? This is where I am getting confused.
Answer:
Most cheaper non-DSLR cameras will not allow you to upgrade: the most you could hope to do is get an adapter piece and a telephoto mount for it. This only works if you actually spent good money on that camera, though since most don't afford it. Plus, telephotos are not worth the money if the zoom is that low, so you should just get a new camera in my opinion.Edit: A telephoto will compound with your camera's optical zoom, so 4x3 = 12x zoom. I should warn that most telephotos tend to make it more difficult to hold your camera in a balanced way and usually require their own stands if you want a clean shot.

I have narrowed my digital camera purchase down to the Canon SD line. I am looking at the 850is, the 750 and the 1000.
