Good Deal
Pros: - Very small, fits in shirt pocket; a camera that you can everywhere always - Sturdy construction, due to metal frame - Very fast start-up and autofocus speed; real snapshot camera - Good Monitor - Side-bar type menu for adjustment of the 8 most often used menu items (flash, picture size, face recognition etc.) - Very good picture quality; does not overachieve, but for normal use (blogs, 5x7 printouts, photobooks) it is more than adequate; very nice color rendition; very decent grain at low ISO settings (up until 400); don't expect Ansel Adams like photos, but for every day use the quality is very good - Looks very stylish
Could be better: - Very small buttons; if your in the habit of biting your fingernails, bring a pen ... - Lens distortion; it does not look very good when straight vertical lines on the edges (like telephone poles or trees) are somewhat bent to the center at the upper part; does not play a big role when photographing people, but with landscapes and architecture, you better know what to expect - Face recognition works slow and only when face is not angled; not big deal, but my Fujifilm F100fd does a far more better job ...
Cons: - The so called "Handbook"; this is a joke - it is fairly thick, but only because they cramped a gazillion exotic languages in it. It is written for the total newbie and does not have any useful information for advanced shooters in it; I would like to have known what the numerous Best Shot programs do, like setting sharpness, color balance, shutter speed and so on; this information is given as two liner in the BS menu in camera, but not with much detail. So you need to guess how the pictures will come out when using the BS function. And even if you are a novice, it lets you in the dark on so many aspects of this camera. You almost need to possess the knowledge of a pro to compensate for the lack of information in the handbook ...
Other observations: - It was mentioned in a few reviews, that the camera looses all settings when turned off. That is not true - in the REC menu, at the "memory" tab, you can tell the camera which settings to keep when shut off. I really understand that people did not find this information - it is not mentioned in the handbook (see above ...) and if you are not a little bit experienced in handling digital cameras (this is my 15th since 1999 ...), you will not find this function easily. - The AUTO program limits the automatic ISO setting to 200. Which is a good thing, because in higher ISO settings, the pictures show considerable noise. The Landscape Best Shot setting does the same, the Night BS setting allows ISO 1600. Would have been nice to find that kind of information in the handbook, instead by analyzing photos by my own ... - Battery life is not great - as can be expected when the battery is as tiny as a book of matches. About 200 pictures is my average, which is acceptable for me.
So, to sum it up: A very stylish, small, yet sturdy camera you can carry with you all the time, that makes good pictures and is especially suited for snapshots. I use it predominantly for taking pictures for my blogs, and it is great for this.

constant image noise and blur!!!
I've had this camera for about 5 months now, and I'm constantly frustrated with the image quality. Often blurry, and always noisy. I'm now in the market for a new camera all together. I almost always have to take a picture two or three times before it's not blurry (isn't this camera supposed to have anti-shake?) and I find the indoor quality to be the most frustrating. I've toyed around with different settings, and nothing seems to be the sure fixer. I'm now looking for a camera that has good low-light capability.

Good camera while it lasted.
Overall an excellent camera. I would rate it best quality for it's price. In six months, I took 1375 pictures and videos in Iraq. Obviously, Iraq is a sandy place in the desert, and sandstorms are inevitable. Needless to say, sand eventually got into the retractable lens and caused it to mulfunction, then stop working. RIP Exilium.

Great For Videos
This product is great. It does anything you want it to do, and the videos are of awesome quality.I would refer this product to anyone.

I freakin love this camera
So I didn't think it was possible for me to love a camera more than the 7mp Casio Exilim I bought for myself a couple of years ago. After dutiful service, I was faced with a dilemma: have the camera dismantled to get the dirt out from behind the lens, or get a new camera. Eventually, I was given this (EX-S10) as a gift from my fiancée; problem solved. This camera has been the best I have ever had, hands down; I took it to Ireland and all over hell's half acre between then and now. Great battery life, great picture quality; it's even very durable (considering I dropped it on a hard surface once). And I do really love the instant record button, it's extremely handy. Very sleek and thin, lots of great features; I just can't say enough good things about this camera. I'm a loyal fan.

I wish I had bought something else
Awful, awful camera. I have a nikon d40-x, which I am in love with, but I wanted something smaller and something to take videos with. I also didn't want to pay very much since I wouldn't use it that often.
I keep thinking that I must be doing something wrong with this camera, but I have tried changing all of the settings, and nothing has helped. The ISO is set to automatic by default, and the photos are terrible and grainy. Even when I set the ISO to 200 the photos are less grainy but still not good. None of my photos have ever come out in focus. The videos are insanely grainy as well. The only good thing I can say about this camera is that the sound recording quality is pretty decent for concerts. That's it. Do not buy this camera. Spend $100 and get something you won't hate.

Great buy
Someone recommended the Casio Exilim to me and I was not disappointed. I'll just outline my favorite features: 1 - Small, lightweight and comes in 'girly' colors 2 - the delay between taking the snapshot and photo capture is almost non-existent 3 - the screen is very large 4 - it comes with a re-chargeable battery!! (no money to be spent on batteries yay) 5 - Easy to use In summary I absolutely love it!

Very Happy with My Purchase of the Casio EX-Z80BE Camera
I purchased this camera first in a green color for one daughter at a local store. It was so easy to use, she caught on quickly and the big view screen on the back is so wonderful. The quality of picture put side by side to two other digital camera's in the household, is so much clearer and crisp colors. I have always enjoy the quality of my other cameras and didn't know that there was anything lacking. Really the first and formost reason for buying my first one of this brand and style was for the color. Since a few months have went by and only impressed with my daughters pictures, I bought this one for one of my other daughters because she loves blue. I went for the same camera because of how impressed I am with the quality and ease of use. I have since purchased another in pink for my 3rd daughter and yet another one step up for myself. I was going to get the same camera for me, but they only had one like this in the 10MP, not many other changes between the two. I have put the pictures from these cameras against my husbands $550.00 camera's pictures and my pictures are better so are my daughters.

camera
I was disappointed in this camera. It was smaller than my last Casio which was alright except my new batteries did not fit in this camera. The opening on the bottom was flimsy, it seemed like it would not take long to break.
Rating :
horrible
This camera produces way too much noise. The screen resolution is extremely lousy, and the images, everytime, without fail come out blurred (even though I set the sharpness to the highest setting.) In addition to this, the color quality is extremely poor. I initially thought that the noise was due to the poor screen resolution, but when I transferred the images to my camera, the noise was even worse! Also, there is no viewfinder and the camera altogether seems very cheap and poorly made. You have been warned! Stay away if you wish to be able to take at least have decent pictures.

Casio rip-off
My camera went bad from a VERY COMMONLY reported manufacturing defect "camera stabilizer is not available" error message in the model I had. Since this is a common defect from the manufacture, they should have fixed my camera at their expense, but they refused to fix it without me having to pay for their manufacturing defect plus shipping charges! Don't buy Casio products! They don't stand behind the quality of their products.

I have had two batteries die on me. The camra is nice and all but how can I use it if every 6 months I have to replace it with a new batter. Casio gave me a new one the first time but now I am out of warrently and out of luck....

Not what I expected!
This camera was in such bad shape. There where old photos on it and it was surpose to be in good condition and it was in very poor conditions. My daughter hasn't been able to use it at all. I am pretty sure I will order anything again!

Whatever you do, don't....!
This was a really good camera for me, but as you might notice, it "was" a good camera. WHATEVER YOU DO, do NOT leave the camera on and put in the memory card or take it out. It will totally ruin your camera. I did this, I regret it. I don't have the warranty anymore because its more than 2 years old, haha. But while I had it, it was a great camera! It had a couple of blurry issues, but once I figured out what setting I needed to put it on, I was good to go. But remember, DON'T DO WHAT I DID! :)

good
I bought this camera as I was leaving South Korea. Love it!!! I'm suprised the price is still pretty high now in 2010, because I purchased it back in 2007 at the same price (*249.00). Anyways, great construction, portability, my only grip, is that it takes better VIDEO, than pictures!!...The videos on here are amazing for a 7.2 mp cam. but i expected the pictures to be a little clearer. Especially if you have even the slightest of shakey hands, whether it be from old age or alcohol!!!...I actually use this camera for all my video purposes now and rarely take pictures.

LCD Problems are an issue
Size is great for traveling, but I continually have LCD issues. I sent it back to manufacturer and they fixed it once. Six months later, the same splotch occurred on the LCD screen. Of note, it was not cracked, just a malfunction of the internal guts of this camera. I would not recommend this camera for this reason. Others have reported similar problems.

worst ever, never focused properly, ruined our newborn photos. AVOID
Ruined two sets of vacation photos and our baby photos. Never focused properly. Warranty, support was worthless. We purchases a Canon digital SLR and are much happier. Avoid this camera at all costs! It caused nothing but heartbreak.

A TOUGH camera.. who knew?
I'm about to get a new camera, however I felt it necessary to write a quick review. Solid camera, no cheap build here. This camera has taken a beating throughout it's 4 year life with me. Recently I was involved in an impressive Downhill bike crash where the camera, located in my backpack still managed to pull through. Along with just being dropped, damp, ect time and time again... however it had less than an epic finish to it's life. (Dog knocked it off the table while trying to get some dinner...rendering the LCD screen useless.. but the rest of the camera is still working)
oh alright, I like it when people put pros and cons so here we go..
PROS -Fantastic battery life -Very tough although not advertised to be I guess... nice side note. -QUICK start up.. take a picture in under a second.. good for that short notice photo op. -Very good pictures -Quick changing to the different modes with the wheel on top. -Good looking LCD
Cons -mmm, More optical zoom? -The bust shooting mode puts all the pictures into one picture.. that is unimpressive requires photo shop to split apart into their own pictures then the quality is degraded.
-People have complained about the lens error.. I think they're on the fritz.. since my camera is pretty well broke and tested one of these reviews in that "the slightest pressure on the lens will cause a lens error".. I put my fingers on the lens multiple times with some pretty good pressure and didn't get any of this.
HOWEVER if you are worried about it turning on accidentally. Turn that convenient little wheel to "Microphone" mode and guess what? if it accidentally turns on, the lens will not come out.. Magic...
I hope my next camera (which will have more optical zoom) will take and give as much as this one has.

Great deal for the $$$
No complaints! Large viewing area, uses & supports most SD cards. Battery life isn't bad either. The only "con" would be that tight/close shots are almost impossible (like 8-12") very blurry. But besides that it'll make ya smile without saying "cheeeeeeese"!

This product has everthing you would want in a camera. It is also very easy to operate.after charging, you can take pictures for many days.Great product.

Great purchase for price.
I'm not a pro and like the point and shoot cameras. Everyone has commented on how well my photos have turned out. Outdoor shots turn out particularly well. I also really enjoy the video option. The high quality creates files too large to email and I'm still working on how to convert them to smaller files. The lowest quality video is decent for e-mail but you can't use the zoom or the picture completely degrades. I love the small size, best shot options and large, bright lcd screen. This camera would be great for someone looking to get more interested in and learn more about photography and uploading/emailing to web sites and friends. There are a number of manual settings to play with too. So far, no real complaints. I'm your average Joe photographer but I've been very happy with the quality/colors of photos and videos with this camera. And it's really cute!

Question : how do i make my pictures look better with a casio exilim digital camera?
I just go this new digital camera from casio. but when i take pictures they backround light seems to be a little darker and the persons face looks red or like there is to much light.
Answer:
There is more to photography than "point" and "shoot".The more you learn about it (via books and tutorials), the more you are able to figure out why something doesn't look right and what to do about it.Start with your manual - read it, then practice. Read it again, practice some more. Experiment and pay attention to what worked and what didn't.Your little camera has big limitations, but can still take decent photos as long as the light is good. It is up to YOU to get the most out of it.

Question : I have a Casio digital camera and I don't know how to save videos onto my computer from the library. Help?
Basically I click upload and then it sends me straight to the library. When i try to save videos they don't do anything when I click in the file I saved them to. My friend has a Casio and says something else pops up that you can save things from, but nothing else pops up with my library. What should I do? The Casio camera help section doesn't contain anything about videos.
Answer:
The easiest way is to buy a multi CARD READER. Then connect the card reader to your USB port, wait until the driver is automatically installed, then get your memory stick from your Casio camera and insert it to the appropriate place in the card reader. When it is done, you can browse from Explorer and copy paste your files. Good Luck

Question : Does anyone know where I can find a new usb cable for my Casio Exilim EXZ75 digital camera?
I recently lost the usb cable for my Casio Exilim EXZ75 digital camera. Someone told me to get a card reader. Does a card reader work the same way? Which is better an usb cable or card reader?
Answer:
The USB cable applicable to your camera is proprietary. You can search the internet to find it, but contacting Casio is the easiest. Expect to pay $40+ for a new cable.Even better, just grab a card reader. It does almost everything. In terms of transferring photos, it works better (they're faster). If you want the advanced software upgrade features, or want to download images from the internal memory then you will need the cable. Note that software updates are not recommended to be taken on my novices and internal memory images can be copied to a memory card in the camera.Where to find a card reader? Well your computer might already have it. HP/Compaq has had them for a while on many models. If your computer has it, it will be on the front of your computer and one will be markes SD.If your computer doesn't have it, buy one. They start at around $15 at local stores and can be as low as $2 on http://dealextreme.com (expect to wait 4-6weeks for shipping and questionable quality). You want an SD card reader, but a multi-reader can't hurt. It'll plug into any USB port.
