Alternative to a Digital SLR
I wanted several features that are not typically available in point and shoot cameras, i.e. enhanced zoom (this one goes to 18X), burst shooting capabilities, high definition video capabilities coupled with high quality pictures. This camera offers all these features and several others that I probably will find useful without the high learning curve and bulk of a Digital SLR. The controls are placed where they will be handy without going through a menu everytime one wants to change modes and settings.

With a new, cutting edge design, the FinePix Z37 not only looks good, but it also offers all the features necessary to take great pictures and share them easily, bringing out the social butterfly in everyone. Style & Substance Thinner, sexier and bolder than previous Z-series models, the FinePix Z37 is a party camera that loves to be the center of attention. The FinePix Z37 combines a 10-megapixel CCD sensor, a sharp 3x optical zoom lens and a 2.7-inch LCD screen in its incredibly thin 19.1mm metal front body, making it easy to be stashed in the tightest of jean pockets. Available in a choice of blue, green or violet, the FinePix Z37 is able to match anyone's style and personality. The FinePix Z37 has many great features to highlight--the 'Blog Mode' is a social networker's staple, allowing users to automatically resize images and movies making them ready for web use. In addition, Fujifilm's 'Scene Recognition Auto' (SR AUTO) Mode' cleverly detects the correct scene setting without the need to pre-select the mode on the camera, making it even easier to take the best pictures possible. The FinePix Z37 is also packed with the following noteworthy features: Maximum ISO sensitivity up to 1600 With the high ISO of up to 1600, the FinePix Z37 can capture quality shots in low light situations. Scene Recognition AUTO (SR AUTO) Enables the camera to intelligently recognize six types of scenes automatically - Portrait, Landscape, Macro, Backlit Portrait, Night and Night Portrait modes. Face Detection with Automatic Red-Eye Removal The FinePix Z37 identifies up to 10 human faces in a scene and sets the correct focus and exposure, regardless of where subjects are located within the frame. After a shot is captured, the camera automatically checks for red eye and self-corrects it in each and every person in the photo, saving time on post-editing. Very Happy
This is my secod FinePix camera and I really like the Fuji. Recording audio bits with saved photos is a really cool feature. The camera looks great and it's very small, almost too small. The buttons are tiny. That is my only, minor issue with this, otherwise great camera.

Similar to the Z30, but better for one reason
I love Fuji cameras - and no, I'm not a Fuji employee, but maybe I should be - I would love an employee discount! This Z37 was a deal I couldn't refuse and I believe this is my 10th Fuji digital camera I've purchased since 2004. I got the purple color and it's beautiful.
I owned the Z30 previously, but at the last minute I decided to gift it to a young relative of mine only because of one thing I disliked about it: On the Z30 the USB plug-in was located INSIDE the camera's battery compartment. I feared the latch would eventually break off since the USB plug, the battery and the memory card were all in the same area.
Instead, the Z37 Fuji has the USB plug on the SIDE of the camera. In addition, this is a multi-use plug. With the Z37 you get an AC adapter cable in addition to the USB cable. The AC adapter charges the battery inside the camera. So unless I'm removing the memory card on this camera, there is no reason to open the battery compartment.
The AC adapter replaces the separate battery charger that comes with the Z30. This also means if your battery runs low, you can use the Z37 with it plugged into an outlet, but of course, this does limit what you can take a picture of, unless it's something near the electric outlet.
The Z37 is slightly thinner than the Z30 but otherwise they appear to be the same. Same LCD size, and the buttons are located in the same configuration. The LCD is big and bright - I have no trouble seeing anything outside in the bright sun. It's tiny and lightweight and easy to carry in either a pocket or small bag - it weighs slightly over 4 ounces.
And since the lens has a cover - and this is the way the camera is powered on/off - by sliding the lens cover open (like the first Fuji digital cameras invented) you almost don't need to buy a separate case....although I do keep mine in a case because I don't like the exterior to get scratched.
Just one complaint with this camera, otherwise it's perfect. There is no good area to hold onto the camera. The entire back is composed of LCD screen and buttons. At least the back area is rubberized so it does help with the grip.
But the pro's way outnumber my single complaint:
>>> Quick response when opening the lens cover to take the first shot >>> SR Auto - just point and shoot >>> Takes beautiful pictures >>> Fast response time after taking a flash picture >>> Lithium-ion battery - one charge lasts over 200 pictures >>> Takes good videos - better than my expensive Panasonic Lumix
Note about the videos: You can't use optical zoom once you start filming, but you can set it before. You can use digital zoom after you start filming, but you have to turn it on before-hand in the set-up menu. They aren't HD but they look pretty good.
Note about the SR Auto setting: This setting drains the battery a little quicker, because the lens and sensor is constantly evaluating and focusing whatever you have the camera pointed at - the lens noise is completely normal and nothing to worry about. If you don't want to hear the lens focusing, just set the camera on regular Auto instead (the picture of the camera icon).
In conclusion: This is a good entry-level camera and I recommend it for just about anyone who is looking for an easy to use camera. Even a young kid. And it's built tougher than it appears - since the lens zooms INSIDE the camera body. Case in point: Two days after I received my Z30, it slipped out of my hands and hit the kitchen floor (my condo is built on a slab). I thought the camera was broken, but I turned it back on and was none worse for the wear. Not even a scratch. This Z37 appears to be built just as tough as the Z30 which I dropped.
It comes with just 18 MB of internal memory, so pick up an SD card if you don't already have one.

Great Form Factor, poor camera
I bought this camera for my wife for Christmas. She wanted a really small, light pocketable camera. Fuji designed a great small chic form factor, but apparently forgot that taking decent pictures was important to people who buy cameras. There were two main issues with this camera--shutter lag and blur.
The shutter lag was horrible, especially with the flash turned on. I know there is a red-eye reduction feature, but no way that I could figure out to turn it off. It was impossible to capture the image you wanted because it would take a picture a second after you push the button.
Almost every picture we took indoors was blurry. If the subject was not standing perfectly still through the horribly long lag, they would be blurry. There was a blur warning on the screen, but the manual did not give any way to correct it.
In short if you are looking for a small light camera, look somewhere else. I took this back and got her a Canon SD 780 IS Digital Elph, and she is much happier with it. It is just as small and can actually be used to take decent pictures in a wide variety of situations.

Exactly what I paid for, maybe more!
I bought this camera last night. I was in need of one after breaking my third Sony T-series in a row. I just wanted something that could take pictures of decent quality and could record video. I bought it at a military store so it came with a bundle including a memory card, reader and a soft case.
PROs
There's two main things that this camera surprised me on:
- The specs it has for such a small amount ($$$) is surprising. I'm used to paying greater amounts for less with Sony. I'm a big Sony fan. Or was... - I'm not big on portability as a main sell point, I'll sacrifice space if it pays off with quality and with results. However, this tiny camera fits in the palm of my hand and weighs a very small amount. And was definitely a great addition to the already surprising specifications.
CONs
- Much like the other review that offered a 1 star I too had a problem with the shutter speed and flash delay. Something that is a small inconvenience and/or can be fixed if you go through the options of the camera instead of giving up on it. I changed the settings and it's good now. And by doing so I now know the inner menus of the camera a whole lot better. - The battery sliding lid seems to be a little too loose for my taste. However, it might be my specific camera and not the model. Just a small incovenience.
OVERALL Great camera that packs a punch for what you pay. As long as you work on it and try to make it work it will. Good buy!

Customer Review :
Excellent point & shoot camera, touch-screen - not so sure yet
Having owned 3 different models of the Z-Series Fuji camera, I feel so fortunate to be able to review this top-of-the-line Z700 EXR. I'm a camera buff; I have purchased ten Fuji's since 2003 and have never been let down by any of them. (My oldest, a 2MP A205, still works).
I love the Z700's metal construction. I have the red, it's a true red with no pink tones, so it should appeal to either gender. The tripod mount is located center bottom, so you can use a mini-tripod without it tipping over. I'm fairly certain the silver parts are plastic, but the main camera body is metal.
What's in the box? The camera, rechargeable lithium-ion battery, battery charger, USB cable, software CD, basic instruction manual and hand strap. The manual is 23 pages in the English version, and also comes with French and Spanish manuals. The full manual is on the CD.
The lens is protected by a sliding cover which also powers the camera on and off. The lens (5X optical) zooms in and out INSIDE the camera, so you don't have to be as careful when you handle it. Unless you drop the camera you probably won't get a zoom error that commonly happens with cameras where the lens protrudes outward when powered up and you accidentally bump it into something.
One thing I like better about this Z700 than some of the older Z series is the USB connector is not located inside the battery compartment, it's on the side of the camera, behind a door. The battery compartment door (on the bottom) appears to be well-made.
On previous Z cameras the buttons were too close and it was easy to press the incorrect one. I don't have that problem here as everything is done by touch-screen. At the same time I'm a little skeptical that the screen will work years from now. It's a whopping big 3.5 inches, biggest I've seen so far, but it has to be large due to the "buttons" being on the LCD. In any event, once you get used to using it, all the symbols for the functions look similar to what you'd see on a conventional digital camera. A light touch is all that is needed to choose your settings.
The default is the EXR Auto mode - this is similar as the SR Auto (scene recognition) mode on less expensive Fuji's. The sensor is supposed to discern what you are taking a picture of: Portrait, Landscape, Night, Macro, Backlit Portrait, or Night Portrait. In addition to choosing the scene, it also decides which EXR mode to use automatically. Sometimes the pictures turn out better if I choose the mode myself instead of letting the camera do it automatically. Just tap over to either of the 3 EXR shooting modes: HR, SN, or DR, because the camera doesn't always choose the correct scene if used in EXR AUTO (it messes up approximately 5% of the time, not that big a deal, but still....). I haven't been lucky with the SN setting - so far SN has resulted in grainy pictures, I guess practice makes perfect with this setting. (HR is high resolution, SN stands for sensitivity/low noise, and DR stands for dynamic range).
Recovery time after taking a picture without using the flash was under a second; recovery time between pictures with the flash firing was under 2 seconds before the camera was ready to take another shot...this was faster than other cameras I've used recently. Recovery time also depends on the class of your SD card.
This camera has OPTICAL Image Stabilization, accomplished by CCD sensor-shift technology. As far as manual settings, the settings are: ISO, white balance, exposure compensation, size, quality (normal/fine), D-range, and film simulation.
So far I've shot over 100 pictures and some short movies and the battery is still fully charged. The charger is included and you can fully charge the battery in a little over an hour. I prefer lithium batteries over AA's as they make the camera lighter in weight. You just have to plan ahead in case you are going somewhere so you have a fully charged battery, or buy a spare. Speaking of camera weight, the Z700 is slightly heavier than other compact cameras, due to it being metal.
Being a pet owner, my favorite feature is the Pet Recognition. It can recognize the facial features of many dog and cat breeds to optimize the focus. My cats are mixed breeds and they were recognized too. However, it will not recognize Persians with smooshed-up faces. I've noticed that when used in the cat (or dog) mode, the camera tends to focus on the face, and not the rest of the body. Works better as a "portrait" shot. If I'm photographing the entire body, it works better on EXR Auto.
There are two movie selections - HD and 640 in the AVI format. The HD video quality is better than my Flip Mino HD camcorder. Optical zoom needs to be set before recording starts, it cannot be changed after the button is pushed. Focus is also set when recording begins, but exposure and white balance are constantly adjusting during the recording.
Playing movies on your TV requires an optional A/V cable. Playing HD movies requires an optional HDMI cable. There is also a Model HDP-L1 player available on Fujifilm's web site, which includes an HD card reader and a remote. Since I don't have an HDTV, I didn't purchase this so I can't comment on it.
This camera comes with Fuji photo editing software (not a favorite of mine). It's compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP and Mac. The software is not as good as Picasa, so I don't use it. I never edit my photos while in the camera, it's easier to use the computer for this.
This camera has 30 MB of internal memory, so pick up an SD card with a minimum Class 4 speed.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
THINGS I DON'T LIKE:
1. The screen shows fingerprints so I'm constantly wiping it off with a cloth. I hate dirty screens!
2. One thing I did not expect is that the touchscreen (and the entire camera) gets very warm if you have it turned on for an extended period of time - 10 minutes or so is all it took for mine to heat up - which wouldn't be an unusually long period of time if you are taking lots of pictures. I am not sure if the camera could overheat, but it's something to keep in mind.
3. Due to practically the entire back of the camera being a touch-screen, there's not much area to grasp the camera. I find myself carefully holding the top and bottom. And I ruined a lot of pictures in the beginning with my fingers getting in the way of the lens.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
WHO WOULD I RECOMMEND THIS CAMERA FOR? Not a young child because of the touch-screen - easily broken and this camera isn't cheap. Not for grandma or grandpa either unless they are somewhat comfortable with digital cameras already. For everyone else: Go for it! It's a cool-looking camera that takes really great pictures. I would definitely choose another Fuji with the Super CCD EXR. Would I buy another touch-screen? I'm not sure at this point. It will depend on how long this one lasts before it gives me trouble. I hope it never does. To be honest, I didn't much care for the touch-screen at first, but it's growing on me.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
If you need a camera case, this one is perfect for the Z700EXR Lowepro Volta 20 Camera Case (Black) and it has enough room to carry an extra battery and SD card.

Compact and fully loaded. HD videos
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE BOX: Camera, battery charger, battery, strap, USB cable and a CD.
CAMERA: The camera is very compact. 12 megapixel res. It has a slider cover that serves as lens protector as well as the on and off button. The first thing to setup is the language, date and time, which is simple and easy. After that, if you have any experience using a digital camera, you are pretty much set in taking your pictures out of the box. The first thing to note is that it has the wow factor that you can pretty much shoot, focus, and set the proper exposure by merely using the LCD touchscreen. Hold the camera, compose, touch your subject on the screen and it will shoot a picture without using the shutter button. Impressive! Well, nice to have an option, but then in the end, your normal trigger finger is still looking for the usual shutter feel when it comes to cheesy times. Fuji is well known to take better pictures in low lighting situations and the Z700 is no exception. ISO can be set up to 3200.
LCD. This camera has a 3.5 inches touch screen widescreen LCD - it is huge. I mean huge! The glass covers the entire back of the camera. Unfortunately, that's the trade off - no viewfinder. It also has an accelerometer similar to the iPod where the image automatically shifts to portrait or landscape depending on how you hold the camera. You can advance or check the previous photos by sliding your finger forward or back. The only thing missing is the pinch for zooming in and out of an image.
ZOOM: Zoom is 5x optical.
HIGH DEFINITION MOVIE: This camera is capable of shooting 1280 x 720 high def movie (in AVI format). I was pretty excited to try this function as I was hoping with a bigger lens will have better quality than my Flip HD video camera. Not so, it is quite good on outdoor scenes, but very disappointing in indoor performance. Result is very grainy in dim light situations. It also cannot zoom during video shoots. Mono. 30 frames/sec.
CHARGER: The included charger is rated for 100-240V, 50/60 Hz, which makes it a great portable travel charger. Not only it can accommodate the NP-45A battery which this camera uses, it also can charge another type of battery - the NP-50. Output is 4.2V at 550 mA. It is very light and is equipped with a folding retractable prongs for easy storage. Made in China.
BATTERY: Fujifilm NP-45 Lithium Ion Rechargeable Battery for Fuji Z & J Series Digital Cameras. 3.7 V720 mAh.
MEMORY CARD: Uses Secure Digital (SD) memory cards (not included). You can have up to an 8G SDHC memory card. The camera has a 30MB (6 photos if you shoot in max resolution) internal memory built-in, but pretty limited in capacity.
VERDICT: Overall, the camera takes wonderful photos. It has tons of presets for every imaginable shooting situation. You just have to pick the right setting and you'll almost certainly be satisfied. So small, but feature packed. Looking back in the days of my 640 x 480 Mavica, this pocket friendly point & shoot has gone a long long way.

The "No Glasses Needed" screen!
Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R13CD7P1R722N I'd been looking at new cameras, so I was thrilled when I received the Fujifilm FinePix Z700EXR through Amazon Vine. (I mistakenly refer to it as the "2700EXR" in the video, guess I should have been wearing my glasses when I made it.) This camera has all of the features I was looking for in a camera: it takes excellent picture, it's great in low-light, the menuing system is easy to navigate, and, something that I didn't even know I needed until I saw it - a screen big enough that I don't have to wear my glasses when I take a picture... If you are of "a certain age" you know what a pain glasses are in regards to cameras - glasses off to see the person you are photographing - glasses on to frame them on camera and set any menus - glasses off - glasses on, etc., etc., etc.
The screen on this camera is HUGE! And it's a touchscreen so rather than endlessly pushing arrow buttons (up, down, right, left) to move through menus then trying to remember which button to push to select (I always push the wrong one!) you simply touch the menu item, then touch your choice. Ahhh, simplicity!
In the video I try to show the basics of using the camera and a few of my favorite features. I read the entire instruction manual and the list of things that this camera can do is really impressive, but honestly, I just want a camera that takes good photos. All of the bells and whistles are nice, but I'll probably never use most of them. I just want to take decent quality photos of my friends, family and pets.
I also want to be able to turn the flash off easily because I really don't like the way the flash flattens the image when shooting people (the flash tends to wash out all of the shadows and makes everything look flat and overly bright... think "dear in the headlights") This camera has a feature called "Natural Light & Flash" which, when set, takes two photos in rapid succession every time you press the shutter: one with a flash and one without.
For me this is the most brilliant and most useful feature I've ever seen on a camera! Instead of taking a shot with the flash off, looking at it, realizing that there wasn't enough light, stepping through 15 levels of menus to turn on the flash, then taking another photo, and, by now, the scene has changed and the moment is lost - now I just hit the shutter button and boom, boom the camera fires off two shots, the first without the flash and the second with. It even shows you the two side by side on the screen after it takes them. I love this feature!
Since the camera works very well in low light, there's a lot more flexibility in terms of when the flash is required, but with this camera I don't ever have to guess since the camera snaps off a flash/no flash photo every time I touch the button.
This camera addresses my three biggest concerns when buying a camera: it takes good photos, it works well in low light and the menu is drop-dead simple to navigate. But it also slam-dunks two requirements that I didn't even know I had until I used it: a screen big enough to see without my glasses and the ability to shoot a flash/no flash sequence every time I take a photo. My standards have officially been raised.
I've already recommended the Fujifilm Finepix Z700EXR to a couple of friends who, when they saw the screen on this thing didn't want to give it back! But this one's mine, get your own.
I hope this video-review helps, Claire

Great Camera for the price
I bought the Fujiflim FinePix Z700EXR for my Hubby as a gift....he wanted a light pocket size camera that was easy to use. I choose the Z700EXR for all the features at a very good price. I have always used top the line Sony Cyber-shot digital point & shoot cameras in the past and was very surprised to find that the Z700EXR photos are on the same par as my Sony's. At first I was not happy with the fact that the EXR auto mode reduces the megapixels by half, but after using that setting and then editing the shot in the camera to S (3mp) the photo was still sharp and clear, good for small prints. Love the touch screen, the natural plus flash dual mode, ease of use and the size. Although the video is of good quality it is not as great as my Sony's but we do not buy a ditigal camera for that purpose. All features & modes are self explainatory and not difficult to understand. Oh yes, Hubby is very happy with the Z700EXR also....it fits in his pocket, is easy to use and takes great photos.

Just because these cameras are affordable, this doesn't mean we've compromised on functionality or quality. As with other A-series models, these cameras are packed full of the technology you need to take a good picture. The 10 megapixel sensor on the A170 produces bright, detailed pictures of extraordinarily high resolution and clarity, shooting at up to ISO 1600. So even if it's dull and dark, the smiles on your friends' and family members' faces will still dazzle!

Just what I was looking for..
I was looking for a camera that was more like my Nikon 35mm camera, but digital and not heavy to carry. It takes great pictures, love the zoom and I can still carry it in my purse. It's also easy to use, which is great, because I don't like alot of fancy instructions. I would buy this camera again!

Great camera for a very reasonable cost
I bought Fujifilm Finepix S1800 a month ago, and so far have taken over 700 pictures, both indoor and outdoor. The camera is the best in this price (approx. $ 180-200). I've searched the whole net, and checked all other brands, such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, Pentax, Kodak, but none have a camera at this cost and so many capabilities. I specially enjoyed the X18 optical zoom, scene recognition, panorama and burst mode. None of the peer cameras have 18 zoom at this price range. The quality of photoes are very good, but it may take a bit longer so one knows how to set everything for outdoor photography, specially in low light conditions. I suggest buying the bundle as bought it. It comes with 8 GB memory card, a card reader, case, batteries and charger, etc. I paid $ 229 for the bundle and I'm very happy! If I wanted to buy all these stuff separately, I'd to pay much more! So, I highly recommend, both the camera and the bundle!

Great product for starters
Following some cursory research on the net, I felt like this camera gave me this biggest bang for the buck for a start up photographer. I really like the camera and the kit had everything I needed to get started. I would recommend this to any begginer like myself.

Fantastic FujiFilm
This is the best camera I've ever tried. The image quality is magnificent. I get great pictures every time in any kind of lighting. I also love how this camera has a manual setting. More experienced photographers can set the desired aperture and shutter speed. But it also has scene recognition and auto settings for when there's no time to mess with controls. Not to mention the great price. I saw this same camera offered for sky high prices elsewhere; not including the accessories and memory card! I HIGHLY recommend this camera!

Questions & Answers
Question : Where is the internal battery on a fuji s3100 digital camera?
Can not get camera to hold date and time
Answer:
Your instruction book should tell you where it is. If you can't find it, call Fuji and see if they can help you.

Question : Just bought a 2nd hand Fuji Finepix digital camera. What does Frame Numbering (Continuous, Renew) mean?
All I got was the camera, no manual with it or anything, but one of the shooting options is called Frame Numbering and you can choose from Continuous or Renew. Does anyone know what this means?
Answer:
It didn't come with the manual? How very odd. Continuous means when you use the next memory card, the photo number (as in, 1, 2, 3 and so on), continues onto next card. Renew means the next card, it resets to 1 (if it's empty, that is). I think I am guessing correctly. I use Canon and I am certain they work the same way.

Question : help!my fuji digital camera isn't working and i need it for a trip tomorrow the lense keeps saying focus error?
i am leaving tomorrow and it won't work.
Answer:
I'd buy a disposable or borrow something from a friend. If you don't have that luxury, you could try cleaning the lens. If you do this wrong it can damage the camera. I use the same solution and microfiber cloth that they give you to clean glasses. This may solve your problem, but if not, I'd try to get something else to use. If you do get great pictures from the trip, you may want to check out the HD wireless digital frames from Ceiva. http://snurl.com/98odw

Question : fuji digital camera reverts back to japanese?
Fuji F10 camera purchased in Japan, has started corrupting files making precious photos unreadable on a computer but they can be viewed on the camera. Re-formatting the XD memory card is the only answer to making it usable again. Another issue is that the camera settings revert back to original Japanese and the date resets back to 2005 at random. Fuji tech support did not recognise the fault and their only recomendation was to return camera for service but this investigation would cost more than a new camera. Anyone else experienced similar problems?the camera is not designed exclusively for the Japanese market. It is identical to the F10 available in Britain.
Answer:
FUJI cameras often have Firmware Updates, which you should try prior to return it to FUJI for servicing! Here's the link for your model.Help that solves your problems ;-)

Question : zoom error on fuji digital camera, how much would it cost to fix it?
It is a fuji finepix f650. Would it be worth sending the camera to the factory to fix or buy a new one? I've only had the camera for 7 months but I did not keep the receipt and the box.
Answer:
If it's a zoom error that requires you to replace the lens on the camera, the parts and labor could run as high as the $200-250 range, but the only way to figure out exactly how much it would cost would be contact Fuji. Try calling their factory service center; they'll be able to tell you if it's something that's under warranty or if you'll have to pay for the repairs yourself, and should be able to give you a ballpark figure for the cost to you.http://www.fujifilmusa.com/JSP/fuji/epartners/ServiceSupportRepairContent.jsp?dbid=674543

Question : extra zoom lenses for the Fuji finepix s700 digital camera.?
I was wondering what kind of extra zoom lenses can be purchased for the Fuji s700 digital camera. If I can buy extra lenses, where would I find them. I am from Canada. I will mostly use this camera at a race track 80% of the time it will be night.
Answer:
It has a 10X optical zoom. Fuji doesn't offer any "front lens" add-ons. There may be some "after market" ones offered but they would probably be a waste of money.

Question : Anyone know of a great Olympus or Fuji point-and-shoot digital camera?
I'm looking for details here... I have lots of xD memory and my camera has gone belly up... anyone have feedback on current Olympus or Fuji digital cameras?
Answer:
Between those two brands...sorry, but Olympus is a brand I would never consider (due to it's so-so photo quality). The Fujifilm Finepix F30, however, is a compact point & shoot camera that performs extremely well in low light (high ISO, handheld, no flash). No other compact can compete with it in this area. I would buy it for that capability alone. So, if you want a compact camera particularly for low light situations, then it's the one to get. It also has great battery life of up to 580 shots. The newer, F31 fd, is a minor update but hasn't been reviewed as yet. But, if you ever decide to invest in SD memory, then have a look at Canon ;-)
