An extra-wide viewing angle, up to 170 degrees, lets you easily see and share your photos with everyone around you. The display is large and bright enough to see both indoors and out, so you don't have to struggle or squint to see the fine details. Use the display to quickly flip through menus, remove red eye, fix pet eye, add slimming, remove blemishes, brighten photos, select creative features from the HP Design Gallery, and more. Get sharper photos with HPs exclusive adaptive lighting feature that automatically brightens darker areas in high-contrast shots, which brings forth details normally lost in shadows. HP's steady anti-shake feature prevents blurry shots caused by camera shakes or moving subjects. Get brighter, more natural-looking photos under low-light conditions, without a flash. Plus, get everything you need to start taking photos right out of the box. A long-lasting, rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides plenty of power, and 32 MB of internal memory allows you to save pics right away. Answer:
I guess it depends on what you plan to do with the camera and what kind of pictures you want to take. HP makes pretty decent printers and if you can get a sample shot printed from it prior to purchase depending on your satisfaction with the quality of the print that should be your main decision maker on that scale. Also be aware that if you're going to be say, printing a book a photo printer isn't the best choice because the quality is definitely inferior on that level. As for HP cameras I've never had any personal luck with them. As the previous poster stated HP camera's are 'ok' but for true quality I'd look at another brand. I'm a very big fan of Canons, but Nikons are also solid pieces of machinery, along with the sonys, in terms of reliable picture quality and satisfaction.

Question : I'm looking for an instruction manuel for a hewlett packard camera. model 618?
have no instruction manuel for a model 618 hp digital camera. I'd like to find the web site where I could order one, the flash is not working. Not having the manuel, I can't find in the menu where the flash might be turned off.
Answer:
good luck. they never made an instruction manual so you'll be looking a long time. HP began outsourcing their camera manual writing at the time the 618 was produced. The first manual was written in Hindi and Farsi but not in English (I assume you're an English speaker? ) By the time HP rectified the problem using their Farsi translation software the camera was already obsolete and defective. There has been a class action lawsuit filed in Hosuton Superior Court over this issue and the Judge is considering placing a moratorium and injunction on future HP products
