Z981 Camera
Kodak engineers are making bad decisions. I purchase this camera because it had a viewer window, as most of their cameras you can't see what you are taking on the LCD because of bright sun light. Buying this camera (Z981) has a viewer window, but the engineer removed the date function and make you manually put the date on each picture on the day you take it. Then you have to delete the duplicate that doesn't have a date on it. The date function is not an option to turn on or off. To me, they ruin a good camera but the engineers screwed with the date. You spend more time putting the date on each picture instead of taking them. Simple design would have been let the user have the option to turn it on or off. No, they didn't do that and just made it painful taking pictures. Now wonder why companies fail with this type of thinking. Now that is two Kodak camera that are useless to me.

Kodak Z981
This is the third digital camera for me - my old Kodak broke and I replaced it with a Nikon but didn't like the fact that it didn't have a viewfinder. This camera is great. It's easy to use either the viewfinder or the screen. - It takes wonderful pictures of high quality. I especially like the ultra zoom lens which I use all the time!

Outstanding Product, Outstanding Price!!
I purchased this product last week at a famous "Diehard" walk-in store, going back today to price match Amazon's price, its the lowest I have seen and I have done hours of research on this!!!
You will love this camera for the price and the quality is superior. The big beautiful LCD screen makes picture previews flawless. Comes with numerous "scene" settings so you can create the perfect picture you are looking for. Purchased the rechargeable Lithium batteries and charger and battery usage so far has been minimal. All you need to do next is pick out a great carrying case to compliment this outstanding purchase.

A great little camera that blows you away!
I needed a new digital camera fast in order to beat the deadline for an online video contest recently. Previously I had owned the Kodak EasyShare Z1275 model which cost me just under $200 three years ago. Money was tight and so I didn't want to spend that kind of cash. So I decided between two models: this one and another Kodak EasyShare listed at $104. In the end I went with this model, the C142 and I shudder to think if I hadn't.
This little camera with the small price just blew me away. Not only does it take high quality video but the pictures are even better than my old Kodak $200 model! I wasn't expecting that. The photos this camera takes are absolutely gorgeous! Even if you take a shot of your garbage can the picture is gorgeous!!
The camera takes double AA batteries, has a thingie on the bottom for mounting a tripod on, a beautiful LCD screen to view your pictures and video with, a slot for an SD card, a flash, a self-timer that goes up to 10 seconds, auto focus, a review of all your shots, and best of all a feature that allows you to easily share/transfer your pictures and videos to YouTube and other social networking sites (Facebook I think). Email as well I believe. On screen directions are in various languages when you first turn your camera on, there's a time and date stamp, and much more.
When you're ready to transfer your photos and videos to your computer all you do is plug it in using the USB cable/plug that comes with it and instantly the software appears on your screen for use. There is no software disc included -- it's already in the camera every time you transfer. An important note. You will need QuickTime to view your videos after they're transfered. And, yes, sound is included on your video but only available on playback. The camera has no speaker. Volume is adjustable but I find it to be just right. Great sound!
How Kodak can afford to put out a digital camera like this with such a small price tag is beyond me. But I have one and that's all that matters. I got the blue color and it looks like a much more expensive camera.
I wish I could afford to buy another one as I would just give it away to my favorite person. You won't be disappointed with this baby. I highly recommend!

Great camera for the price!!!!
I purchased this camera to take pictures at the family reunion that took place over the weekend. I was in a hurry for a new camera, my old one still worked, but I knew that there was more to be had with the new digital cameras, so I ran to my favorite online store Amazon and took a look at the cameras that were available for under $100 dollars there were so many I had to rethink price and go for a name brand and Kodak is always one that comes to mind because it has been around for so long.
I choose the C142 because the price and the ability to put in on facebook right away. It has been a great purchase the pictures come out clear, even when I was talking, walking, eating and taking pictures at the same time. You can never say that I can't multitask, I had no trouble with getting the pictures that I was trying to take and uploading them was a breeze.
If you are looking for a good camera try this one. I think you will be pleasantly surprised by the user friendly features of this camera.

Great Mom Gift
I got a great price for this on Amazon and gave it to my mom for Mother's Day. She is not good with technology and wanted something that was easy to figure out, simple to use in program mode, and takes good pictures. That's it. This actually does more than she needs. She loves it. The pictures look great, although we haven't printed any. For this type of camera, I think it is a great product.

Worth to buy for small price
Very nice camera. It's not expensive but powerful. The only thing weird (I'm not sure if it happened only to me or not) is buzzing sound when the camera is set into some modes, but it doesn't affect the joy of taking photos.

Kodak EasyShare Z950 Digital Camera
Customer Review :
Kodak Z950
I've had a number of Kodak cameras before and all have performed very well over the years. After reading positive reviews all over the net for the Z950, I bought this camera for a trip to France w/ my 10 year old son. It has amazing features for such an inexpensive camera (comparatively) and even though I took 1000+ pics in a week, I barely scratched the surface on what this camera can do. The optical zoom and low light photo setting are outstanding, and the video quality is impressive. I missed having an 'eye' view finder but the LCD is large and the brightness settings offset even a sunny day. It also feels heavy / sturdy, and has great build quality. I felt that if I dropped it accidentally, I would be able to pick it up, dust it off, and start firing away again with no worries. Luckily, that never happened.
If I had any complaint, it would be battery life. I expected the lithium battery that came w/ the camera to be good for hundreds of pics per day. That might be the case for daytime only, and no flash. However, if you do use flash or video for any appreciable amount of time (depends on the SD card size) expect the battery to drain quickly. If I take another trip like this one, I'll purchase a back-up battery.

My camera
The camera arrived in good condition, ready to operate after the battery was connected. The instruction manual was skimpy, leaving some questions unanswered.
The camera itself works well. Since it is a 12 mp camera, the resulting images can be cropped and manipulated without significantly degrading the image. It would be nice if the camera had a viewfinder. I find it difficult to precisely frame a picture.
I would buy it again.

KODAK Z950 EASY SHARE CAMERA
I ALREADY HAD A GREAT KODAK EASY SHARE CAMERA WITH 3X OPTICAL ZOOM BUT WANTED A KODAK WITH MORE OPTICAL ZOOM. I CHOSE THIS ONE BECAUSE OF THE 10X AND BECAUSE IT WAS A KODAK EASY SHARE. I LIKE THE ZOOM CAPABILITY. I MISS A COUPLE OF MODES WHEN YOU ARE IN SCENE THAT I HAD WITH MY OTHER CAMERA BUT I AM LEARNING TO ADJUST. IT'S NICE AND SLIM AND I LIKE NOT HAVING TO TAKE OFF THE LENS COVER. WHEN THE CAMERA IS OFF IT FOLDS BACK INSIDE ITSELF. I MISS A VIEW FINDER BECAUSE IT HELPED IN STEADING THE CAMERA AND WHEN TAKING PICS IN BRIGHT LIGHT. SINCE YOU HAVE TO LOOK AT THE SCREEN TO SEE YOUR PICTURE, I ORDERED AND ATTACHED A DELKIN POP-UP SHADE. THIS MAKES ALL THE DIFFERENCE AND CUTS THE GLARE GIVING YOU GREAT EASE FOR OUTDOOR PICTURE TAKING.

Very easy to use!
The Kodak Z950 is a very nice camera. Easy to use, takes great pictures! Nice zoom! I love good pictures but didn't want a complicated camera to work with. This is the one!

John's Z950 Review
Although I have not yet used many of the camera's features, the one's I have used were relatively easy to learn and they perform well. For some reason, a few of the pictures taken without flash did not automatically focus well. I have to admit that I really miss having an optical viewfinder as the LED viewfinder is sometimes hard to see in the sun and it is difficult to snap rapidly moving objects using the LED viewfinder. The quality of the in-focus pictures is excellent and they can be blown up a great deal without losing resolution. I am a little disappointed in the battery as in that it is quite small and doesn't last long between charges.

Kodak EasyShare C182 Digital Camera Silver
Customer Review :
Top Noch Kodak Camara
I bought the Kodak C182 12 Mega Pixel to replace the 5 Mega Pixel camera I bought many years ago. I have to say it is an excellent camera. Its view screen is amazing. We've taken pictures and can review them with ease on the large screen behind the camera. The Kodak C182 also used the same USB cord that are previous camera used and happy say with the same ease of down loading. Lithium batteries work best. We've taken over 500 pictures on the same two AA's. It would be nice if their was a rechargable dock for the camera. I hope we can get another 5 to 6 years out of this camera too.

Super gift for a 6-year old
This EasyShare camera is a full featured camera for the price, about as much as should be spent for a 6-year old. Camera is easy to hold. It has a large 3" viewer. Photos are sharp. Takes AA batteries, so that she doesn't necessarily have to remember to charge the camera. If she has photo talent, the EasyShare C182 has plenty of features to learn and use.

A great little camera, at it's price point. We've had it a few months now, it's easy to use, durable, and takes quality pics. It's all I need in a camera.

my son is thrilled with this!
We gave this to our 10 year old son for his birthday. It is the perfect starter camera. It gives on screen descriptions for what each function does. He has been trying out everything the camera does. The only downside is that you can't hear the sound from the videos on the camera. We haven't d/l the video yet to see if there is any sound at all. If you are looking for an inexpensive, easy to use camera, this one is great!

Great value and outstanding camera
I am amazed that this was sold for only $69 and free shipping by Amazon. I was upset at first as it did not work and Kodak jumped right in and had me send it to them and returned quickly and in perfect condition. My hat is off to them for the great service they provided. The camera does more then I expected and so far the pictures have been a snap to download and work with. My previous camera was only 3.2 MP and this is 12 and just can't say enough about it. Good on line menu and features are appreciated. All I had to do was buy a cheap memory card for $15 and it will take about 1600 photos at 12 MP setting. Should have just bought a 2 instead of a 4 card.
Average person will really enjoy owning and using thie camera. I am also surprised at the length of life for the 4 Sanyo Eneloop rechargable batteries I bought on line for a low price.

Questions & Answers
Question : I got a big Kodak digital camera, and after every photo I take it says?
"processing. . ." and it takes a long time. Why does it do this? My smaller digital kodak camera is quick and doesnt stop to pocess anything. When I'm taking my photography photos I don't like to wait 30 seconds between each snapshot. Can I fix this?
Answer:
Normal advice here - Read the manual. If you do not even know what your camera is then there could be a bit of trouble though. The size of the file will make a difference as will the speed of the card it is dumping to.If your "big Kodak Digital camera" is shooting in RAW format then the files will take longer to dump to the card but it should not be taking 30 seconds even with an old and slow card.Shooting jpegs in a lower resolution will speed things up but you are sacrificing quality for speed. Mind you I doubt you will notice anyway.

Question : Transfering pictures from Kodak digital camera to Dell Desktop?
I recently reformatted my hard drive. Before I would plug my Kodak digital camera in and then a menu would pop up and I could transfer my pictures from my camera to my Dell Dimenson 3000 desktop. I could also do some minor editing like the darkness and cropping. Now when I plug in the camera, nothing happens. Do I need to reinstall a driver or software. I had whatever was standard/came with the computer. What do I need to get it back to the way it was before I reformatted the computer?I already have the CD that came with camera and tried D/L software from Kodak. Both are the same. I don't like that program, too complicated. I am looking for the program that came with the computer, but not sure what it would be called.
Answer:
If you go to the Kodak website, you can type in the model of the camera that you have and it will give you the option of downloading the updated drivers for your camera as well as the updated "EasyShare" software. No need to look for you CD that came with the camera. You may have to register on the site but it's ad/spy-free anyway and you can opt-out of emails. Hope that helps.

Question : Can i somehow put filters on my tiny kodak digital camera??
I have a small kodak digital camera, it's just plain digital. It doesn't even have a "mm" sized lense. Just a regular digital camera. is there a way to adapt lenses to it? would they be effective if i had to rig up something? or would the become deffective because of the distance between the lens and the filter?
Answer:
what sort of filters do you want to add to it? in this age of digital photography the only useful filter would be a UV filter for protection, any other effects could be replicated in digital editing. If you do want effects without editing, you could get away with holding up a filter to the lens but, really, why? and yes, the further you hold from the lens, the more distortion you will get. but hey, try it. no harm can come...

Question : How can I get a clearer picture on my Kodak digital camera?
I have a P850 Kodak digital camera and I can't get close up pictures ( of flowers, animals etc..) to be very clear. Any suggestions?
Answer:
well if you have the 24-140 lens than your minimum focusing distance is 2.0 - 20.4 inches in macro focusing range according the datasheet online i found for this camera.if you are staying within those limits and have the lens or camera set to macro it should be in focus. if not try using a tripod to keep the camera steady alot of times its you moving and you don't realize it. if not staying within 2.0-20.4 inches of your subject and you need to get further or closer try close up filters wich any decent camera store should sell and carry. or try buying a macro lens which only does macro. lmk if these solutions don't help- i love helping solve camera problems like this.

Question : Kodak Digital camera, c653, got dampened in water is it repairable?
I got the kodak c653 digital camera which got dampened, can it be repaired if yes whom do i need to show? i stay at hyderabad, please suggest..
Answer:
Electronics and water don't go well together. If it works after drying out, great. If not, the water probably caused a short circuit which would make it doubtful that it can be repaired. However, I've seen electronics survive water damage, but the battery was ruined. You might get lucky and get by with only having to get a new battery.
