Great Camera
This is actually our second DMC LZ7. Our first one was destroyed by an airline. Manual is very easy to understand, and the camera is very easy to operate. Takes great pictures. I don't do anything fancy when taking pictures, but it's just fine for what I need it to do.

Extremely good value for price
This camera is sold very cheaply, especially refurb or used, under 100$. it performs better than any camera you can get at this price! the pictures have great detailed quality. outdoors, the quality is similar to decent SLR camera. Zoom is big, wide angel is also great. I have it as a second camera, and when I need a point and shoot this is a great choice. I tried few before and was not happy, the main reason was the small poor lenses you get on all the cheaper cameras, this one has a relatively large and bright lens. No viewfinder, that's the only disadvantage.

Round spots of photographs taken inside
I have returned the camera two times and Panasonic replaced the lens system both times but the camera continues to have round spots on pictures taken inside as it has from my orginial purchase. I have purchased several Panasonic products in the past but I am looking at other brands for my next purchase. I cannot believe Panasonic would market a product with its name on it and not be able to correct this problem.
B. Deal

Great Lumix
Great camera, works perfectly and the quality of the pictures is very good.

Nice camera for the price.
This the third Panasonic camera I've purchased, and I'm very pleased with all of them. This camera does burn through rechargeable batteries very quickly, however. It does well with alkalines, so my daughter will be able to use them when she travels to England. The picture quality is good. The choice of settings allows her to take photos under various conditions. She is very much a novice, so the camera was a good choice. It has a nice zoom and quickly recycles to take the next shot.

Lumix DMC-FS15
I bought this camera because it is portable and I can carry it at all times with me. I use it to always have the ability to take pictures of stuff I want to remember. I've been using it for 8 months now.
Pros: -Fits easily in my pocket -Has a very decent battery life -Has a definitely good enough picture resolution for me
Cons: -I had to return it because it got dust in the sensor (you could see dust in the pictures). It was not possible to clean it off without disassembling the camera. Panasonic gave me a brand new camera. -It takes a long time to take a picture. If you're on a car or something suddenly happens and you need to snap fast, you'll probably miss it. Sometimes it takes a couple of seconds sometimes from the moment you click until it takes the picture.

Purchased this for my 16 year old daughter. Great quality pix, handy size. She's very happy. We are buying another one for my other daughter.

Software and suppoert are horrible
The pictures are fine but the integration with my Mac is terrible. I hangs up during transfer and the only thing I can do to restart is remove the camera battery., Despite several sttempts to contact Panasonic I can never reach anyone with any insight. I'm ready to throw this thing out the window. Would never buy another Panasonic camera.

Lumix DMC-FS15
This is the first digital camera I have ever had. I had considered buying a more expensive more versatile camera but this one was strongly recommended to me by a photographer cousin of mine who said that it would suit my rather simple needs just fine. He was absolutely right. It is simple to use, it has an easy-to-use zoom, and takes very nice clear pictures. It's light and fits easily in my pocket. I'm sure that people who want to play a bigger role in their photography would find it inadequate but someone wanting a fine inexpensive basically point-and-shoot camera can't go wrong with this one. Buy a soft case to go with it.

Love this camera but very sensitive to dust/dirt...
I have had this camera over 2 years and has been repaired once and is now unusable. While still under warranty, the lens would not close and a message of turn camera on and off again kept appearing. A grain of sand had gotten stuck in between the lens. Ok, lesson learned, kept it in a case. Second time a year later and no longer under warranty, same thing happened, a single speck of something is stuck in there and no longer works. I called customer service to see what it would cost to repair and it's about $150. If I decide to send it in, I will not get my repaired camera back, but a refurb. No thanks.
Other than the sensitivity to dirt (I am a pro photographer and treat all my equipment with utmost care), this is a great camera. Clear sharp photos, and love the fact you can zoom while using the video with no limitations as to video length while recording.
Would think about another one, but don't want to be frustrated if a speck of dirt gets in the lens mechanisms again.

A Landmark Little Beaut
Why do I hafta keep reminding people to use the video feature on their still camera? Why? Because they don't have this camera.
Told people bout this camera years before it came along. Big lens, HD video, all in a pocket size. Didn't know which brand would be first, but props to Panasonic for getting there first. Going on 3 years later, it's still kicking butts and takin names long after better versions of the same, and copycats from Canon and now Nikon. My little blue wonder is still a joy to use. A beautiful camera for travel. And no failures at all. Many iMovies later, my friends are amazed. Beats the heck outa my D90's video, a bit slo w/this lens in the dark for stills (take a pocket tripod), but look at what it all does in that small body. Quick menu feature is nice. Battery life is very good. Stills are not Nikon/Canon quality, but plenty close for all but the most anal. Just a huge bang for the buck. Thanx Panasonic, you Rocked it on this puppy! A history maker in my book. With this success I'm going for a GF-1! --LD

Dissappointed
I was very excited to purchase this camera based on all the excellent reviews. However, the camera performed much worse than our old digital Cannon purchased 5 years before. Cannon always took sharp images and recording movies was not a problem. Lumix constantly underperformed; it was very hard to take a sharp image--the majority of them would come out grainy, no matter what was the lighting. I've tried to adjust the settings but nothing worked. Could not figure out how to record movies either--they came out as a still photo. Maybe I've missed something, but it shouldn't be so difficult and require you to look into the manual. On Cannon you just switched to the movie mode and voila, everything worked. Here, although it would appear that the movie was being recorded, no movie was actually recorded. I am actually happy that it finally broke and now we have to buy a new one. I would never go for Panasonic Lumix again.

Camera has Bugs
got it as a gift, first, i prefer a peep hole to frame my pictures, which this camera doesnt have, making any camera with a peep hole better. Second, many times i have seen the camera act up. sometimes it switches off and does some kind of thing where it zooms in then zooms in and shuts off, sometimes i delete pictures and it leaves black boxes on my memory cards that say "error" when i look at them, didnt read the 500 reviews but my experience with this particular camera has been that problems exist, it is not perfect, look elsewhere if you want a product that doesnt suck

I saw the features on the web and it seemed really good do that's what i got, but now i'm having second thoughts about it coz it might be one of those products that are cheap fo a good reason...they're really not that good after all... =(. please help!
Answer:
The Panasonic line is a sleeper.Panasonic is the provider for the Leica companies digital cameras. In fact a lot of the point and shoot cameras made by Panasonic sport Leica lenses. Other than the Leica logo on their cameras, Leitz has added their electronic processing to their version of the cameras

Question : Is our Panasonic digital camera ruined?
We have a Panasonic digital camera, 7megapixel, and have had it about 2 years now. The past couple months we noticed all pictures we take, that once we load them on a computer or print them there is a horizontal line through it. Every picture has this line through them and it's annoying. Can it be fixed or just get a new camera?
Answer:
My guess is that this is a fault in the CCD sensor (the "film" in a digital camera). There were a rash of these problems in sensors produced by Sony in 2005 (see link below) with the common symptom of a horizontal line appearing on the image. Many companies were will to fix this fault for free. You have (possibly) two options. 1. If you can gain access to the sensor (depending on the camera, you might be able to take off the lens to get access), you might use a lens blower to try to knock off any dust, etc that fell onto the sensor. It's possible (though unlikely) that this is your problem. 2. You can call Panasonic and tell them about the problem, highlighting that this is a sensor fault, and try to get them to spring for the repair. If they won't the cost of the repair is probably prohibitive (around $200 for Canon), so you'll end up tossing the camera.

Question : How do I fix my Panasonic Digital Camera? The power wont turn on... And the battery is fully carged?
I have a Panasonic Lumix FXM01 and when I try to turn it on nothing happens. I tried buying a new Battery and charged it fully , thinking that I was a faulty battery. So I'm kinda scared on buying anything else, because I could be wasting my money... Any-one out there experienced the same problem???plz write bak, if you have any ideas, Thanx
Answer:
Might be a jammed lens - that often prevents cameras from turning on. It may also be that the camera is simply fried.

Question : I want to buy a Panasonic digital camera but wondered which model in the TZ range has better images?
I can see that different models have come out but on Flikr I saw images taken by the TZ 5 were really impressive on portraits and holiday pictures, but I wondered if anyone could say which TZ models are equally good.I do not mind if it is older versians, basically I am seeking a good holiday camera in this range, specifically Egypt
Answer:
Well the TZ6 and TZ7 were released the same time I think? and the TZ7 just has a bit bigger screen but costs more. The TZ8 and TZ10 were released at the same time, the newer range and the TZ10 just has GPS, has slightly better megapixel and a slightly bigger screen but costs more. I also heard that the GPS takes up battery life but you can turn it off.

Question : does digital camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3 have the function zoom while recording ?
my digital camera, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FS3, does it have the function zoom while recording ? if yes, how do i turn that function on ?
Answer:
No, unfortunately, it doesn't. Very few compact cameras allow you to zoom while recording video. Unlike camcorders, the zoom mechanism for a compact camera is motor driven, and the camera will pick up the noise of the motor if you zoom while you're recording. For this reason, the feature is almost always disabled by the manufacturer.

Question : How to set auto timer for digital camera, panasonic dmc-ft1?
How to set it & can I capture continuous images somthing like handphone sequence mode with this camera? Thanks.
Answer:
From page 54 of the user manual that I found here:http://www.panasonic.com.au/support/downloads/more_info.cfm?objectID=2409&fileTypeID=2&productC ategoryID=16&productID=0&listQueryString=fileTypeID%3D2%26productCategoryID%3D16%26productID%3D0It explains how you use the self-timer and the "burst" option which I think is what you mean by "continuous images".Have fun!

Question : CAMERA EXPERTS! I am trying to buy a replacement battery for my Panasonic digital camera Panasonic Lumix DMC-?
what are the pro's and con's of the 950 mAh and the 1400 mAh?
Answer:
Are you comparing batteries from the same manufacturer? That makes a difference. If manufacturer is the same the 1400mah battery will allow you to take more photos per charge. Theoretically about 50% more. For example if the 950mah gets 300 shots per charge the 1400mah battery would get 450 shots per charge. If the 950mah battery is a respected name brand and the 1400mah battery is one of the cheap imports from Ebay you may not see such an improvement.
