The Lumix DMC-FX48 Digital Camera from Panasonic is a compact point-and-shoot digital camera, which can easily fit in a shirt pocket or purse. The slim camera features an impressive Leica wide-angle zoom lens, perfect for capturing group shots when zoomed out or individual portraiture when zoomed all the way in. The innovative Intelligent Auto (iA) helps you to take clearer, sharper photographs. This mode includes a Face Recognition function, which can "remember" registered faces. The camera will help to optimize focus and exposure so that the owners of these registered faces will be bright and in focus in photos. Shaky hands in less-than-ideal lighting conditions can often ruin a photograph. The Lumix features Panasonic's MEGA O.I.S system to help prevent this. This system uses optical stabilization to help counteract shaking, coupled with an intelligent ISO control that automatically adjusts the camera's sensitivity to light in order to achieve a faster shutter speed.
KIT INCLUDES: * 8GB SD MEMORY CARD. * CARD READER. * DIGITAL PHOTOS FOR DUMMIES CD. * CAMERA POUCH. * MEMORY CARD WALLET. * SCREEN PROTECTORS. * CLEANING KIT. * MINI TRIPOD. * 25 FREE PRINTS!!!

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC70
This is not a bad camera at all. The only problem we have with it is that once you push the button to take the picture it takes too long for the camera to actually take the picture. We have kids and when we want to take a picture we want the picture when we push the button because otherwise you miss the action. It has a lot of great features but it didn't work for us. Like I said before, it is a great camera which is why I gave it a four star review.

This has been a great first digital camera..
I am having a ball with this camera.. The first time I used it, I was on vacation and with the 256 mb memory card I bought for it, I could have taken hundreds of pictures.. The camera is easy to use, and with the printer I have (Epson Photo RX600) I put the memory card straight from the camera into the printer and I have my pictures... I've printed out small wallets, 4x6, 5x7 and 8x10 and all are crisp, clear, vibrant and of expert quality.
The camera also takes mpegs so I used it to capture my granddaughter during a dance performance... It took a really good little movie with clear sound that my family will treasure forever..
Although the camera says to use only Panasonic batteries, I've found that any brand of good quality alkaline batteries work just as well and last just as long or longer than the Panasonic batteries that came with the camera did.
I still haven't used all the features associated with this camera, but it's so easy and convenient to keep it with me to capture whatever moment I happen upon. Others have said the delay from one picture to the next can make you miss a shot, and that's the only drawback I've seen so far. Still I rate it five stars because for the price, quality, and ease of use I think it's beyond excellent!

LOVE this camera!
Compact size, 4MP, fast start up, and intuitive controls. Lots of different options to play around with that I'm still learning. Pictures can be downloaded to any computer without any software. Picture quality is excellent and the price is right. I purchased mine on Broadway Photo (bwayphoto.com) which is cheaper than amazon, $229, but they have high shipping fees and they are slow. Took them 5 days just to process the order. LCD screen could have been a little bigger, but I think this camera gives you the biggest bang for your buck!
Rating :
Compact but a bit grainy
This has been a good travel/weekend camera. The pictures are a bit grainy compared to my 6 MP camera, but it's good for the price. It does have a neat "digital camera for dummies" setting that's very user friendly and great for those who are new to the digital camera world.

| Editorial Review :
Equipped with a 5-megapixel CCD sensor, the remanufactured Panasonic DMC-FZ20lK delivers a wide range of detail and color with images as precise as 2,560 x 1,920 pixels--enough information to make photo-quality prints up to 13 by 17 inches. The digital camera is also outfitted with a Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 12x zoom lens, which combines comfortably small size with superb image rendering, and is further enhanced by a 4x digital zoom, which gives users the equivalent of a 48x zoom lens in a compact body. Images taken with the 12x zoom lens are crisp and impressive, but users should note that the digital zoom degrades picture quality. The DMC-FZ20K also lets you shoot QuickTime Motion JPEG video at resolutions of up to 320 x 240 pixels with sound. The total video you can capture is limited only by the space on your memory card; you'll fit more at low-quality settings (10 frames per second) than at high quality (30 frames per second). The movies aren't camcorder quality, but they're fun and convenient, and are perfect as e-mail attachments. You can also record audio comments up to five seconds in length for your still pictures. Additional features include flip animation, which lets you create your own frame-by-frame animations; unlimited consecutive shooting, which lets you shoot as many consecutive shots as you can up to the SD memory card's capacity; a 2-inch diagonal polycrystalline TFT LCD display (130,000 pixels); a hot shoe external flash attachment; and Mega Burst shooting mode, which shoots up to seven images at three- or two-frames-per-second in standard resolution or up to four images in fine resolution. The latter option is designed to provide you with the best selection of photos during action, such as a sporting event. Images and video are stored on Secure Digital (SD) memory cards (the bundle includes a 16 MB SD card). Photographers can download picture files to either a Mac or PC via a USB connection, meaning you can connect the camera to any USB-based PC running Windows 98, Me, 2000, or XP or a Mac running OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software. Printing-wise, the camera supports the PictBridge standard. PictBridge is a technology that lets you transfer pictures from a digital camera to a compatible printer without a PC or image-editing software. Because PictBridge is an industry standard, users can connect PictBridge-compatible devices made by many different manufacturers. The camera is powered by lithium-ion battery pack (included with charger). It measures 5.02 by 3.43 by 4.18 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 1.14 pounds. It's also backed by a 90-day warranty on parts and labor. What's in the Box DMC-FZ20K digital camera, battery charger, battery pack, 16 MB SD memory card, lens cap, lens hood with adaptor, A/V and USB cables, strap, CD-ROM, user's manual.

Question : How to set auto timer for digital camera, panasonic dmc-ft1?
How to set it & can I capture continuous images somthing like handphone sequence mode with this camera? Thanks.
Answer:
From page 54 of the user manual that I found here:http://www.panasonic.com.au/support/downloads/more_info.cfm?objectID=2409&fileTypeID=2&productC ategoryID=16&productID=0&listQueryString=fileTypeID%3D2%26productCategoryID%3D16%26productID%3D0It explains how you use the self-timer and the "burst" option which I think is what you mean by "continuous images".Have fun!

Question : Whats better a Nikon or Panasonic digital camera?
Trying to buy a new camera, im looking at a Nikon and a Panasonic, which one should i get?
Answer:
Look at Nikon, or CanonMy preference in the larger DSLR's are the Nikon's (of course!)Canon makes good stuff too, but I prefer the "ergonomics" or layout on the Nikon. In the smaller Point n shooters, Canon may have the slight edge. Both cameras are good, but Canon gives a larger selection of cameras with an "optical viewfinder" which I prefer in the bright sunlight. Those LCD viewfinders can be hard to see in bright sunlight.Make sure you get one with the VR (Vibration Reduction, Nikon)or the IS (Image Stabilization, Canon) to help you get good shots in the low light tough shooting conditions.

I have a Panasonic Lumix FXM01 and when I try to turn it on nothing happens. I tried buying a new Battery and charged it fully , thinking that I was a faulty battery. So I'm kinda scared on buying anything else, because I could be wasting my money... Any-one out there experienced the same problem???plz write bak, if you have any ideas, Thanx
Answer:
Might be a jammed lens - that often prevents cameras from turning on. It may also be that the camera is simply fried.

Question : Is our Panasonic digital camera ruined?
We have a Panasonic digital camera, 7megapixel, and have had it about 2 years now. The past couple months we noticed all pictures we take, that once we load them on a computer or print them there is a horizontal line through it. Every picture has this line through them and it's annoying. Can it be fixed or just get a new camera?
Answer:
My guess is that this is a fault in the CCD sensor (the "film" in a digital camera). There were a rash of these problems in sensors produced by Sony in 2005 (see link below) with the common symptom of a horizontal line appearing on the image. Many companies were will to fix this fault for free. You have (possibly) two options. 1. If you can gain access to the sensor (depending on the camera, you might be able to take off the lens to get access), you might use a lens blower to try to knock off any dust, etc that fell onto the sensor. It's possible (though unlikely) that this is your problem. 2. You can call Panasonic and tell them about the problem, highlighting that this is a sensor fault, and try to get them to spring for the repair. If they won't the cost of the repair is probably prohibitive (around $200 for Canon), so you'll end up tossing the camera.
