Not reliable
We purchased this camera for our daughter. In the last five months it has been returned to Samsung three times. Each time it takes about a month to send in, get it checked and returned. The first time the back screen stopped working, the second time the from screen stopped working. The last time the lens would not detract nor the camera come on. They claimed it had physical damage, they charged us $90 for the repair. When we got it back, within two days the lens did the same thing.

poor color
We are borrowing this camera until we can replace our own. This camera has a nice look but does not produce good color. Color was over-saturated and unappealing.

Big waste of my money
I was really disappointed with this camera. I wish I had returned it. I went and bought a new (and cheaper) Nikon which I use instead. Here were my problems with it:
Once you push the button to take a picture, it takes a couple seconds to take it. This is a dealbreaker for me with a camera. The five-year-old camera that I was replacing took pictures immediately.
The pictures have different dimensions than most cameras. So if you get your pictures developed at 4x6, you will either need to edit all the pictures first to crop them yourself, or risk peoples heads being chopped off. The dimensions are not a problem if you just look at your pictures on a computer. They are the dimensions of HDTV.
The ONLY reason I bought this camera was because of the front display. I am going on vacation with my boyfriend and wanted to take great pictures of the two of us in front of the Eiffel tower, etc. This feature let me down because the touch screen is so large on the back that when I turn it around I tend to accidentally touch it and mess with the settings. Also, since it takes so long to take the picture, someone usually does something weird with their face before the picture actually takes.
I did not find the use of this camera's menus, etc., to be intuitive. I am in my early twenties and can usually figure out new technology easily, and using this was frustrating. I absolutely do not recommend this product and I will never buy a Samsung again.

Nice camera for the price
My daughter bought this camera for her boyfriend for when he goes fishing. He likes it alot but I think my daughter likes it to much as she always has it in her handbag!!! If it lasts longer than the Casio cameras then they will be happy we've had a few of those fail.

A very good camera
I bought this camera for my wife and I can tell you it's very good for the price paid, we've taken pictures in almost every scene and they were great. The only down I can think of is the battery life when you turn on the front display, but we'll soon get a second battery to avoid running out of power.

Avoid this camera
I had heard good things about the Samsung cameras, but couldnt find any online reviews for the TL205 since this was a new product. However, I took a gamble and bought this camera. This is probably the worst purchase of my life. Auto focus is horrible, and taking pictures in low light is not even worth it. I really wish I had taken this back before the return period expired. The interface / menu is nice. And the smile detection actually works pretty well, but it doesnt out-weigh the fact that this takes horrible quality pictures.

You get what you pay for
I got this on sale for about $129, though its going for about $99 right now. Pros: Cheap/Affordable!, quality scenic photos, portable, lightweight Cons: Feels cheap, everything from the buttons to the rotating options wheel wreaks of poor construction. VERY poor at taking up close pictures (Thinking of taking a picture of a receipt or a ID with this camera? Think again!). rear LCD screen feels smaller than similar sized LCD's. Doesn't retract the zoom feature when in photo viewing mode like my canon.
Other notes: The front LCD really isnt as useful as one might think, unless you're taking a face shot of yourself, you most likely won't be using it. The rear LCD is a bit indented and looks smaller than other comparable LCD's. Most of the picture taking modes are useless... but that's to be expected with this pricing.
Summary: Would I buy this camera again? well I wish I had bought it at that $99 price tag instead of $129. It's cheap, it works great for scenic photos, it would make a good present for a teenager as the frontal LCD is fancy all be it rather useless outside of self photos.

Doesn't focus in video
I like the fact that there's a small screen in the front, but right after the picture's taken, the camera must stay there for a second in order for the camera to process it and the picture not be blurry. It wouldn't be so much a problem if I had steady hands. Also, in video, when you put text close up, it won't focus, which I'm sad about b/c I like to film videos that involve reading small text from time to time.

Missing Something
It's a cool camera! The only thing I wish is that it took black & white picture or different effects. I just like to carry a camera in my purse, it works for me.

Buttons hard to read
I needed a camera quickly and bought this camera today for a function this weekend. It is going back to the store tomorrow. The problem is the case of the camera is black plastic and the functions buttons on the back are black on black, making them almost impossible to read. Why they put black on black is beyond comprehension. This camera is going back as I need to be able to see what the buttons are for without a flashlight. Now that I'm reading other reviews the picture quality seems to be lacking in this camera also.

Whether you're taking a self-portrait in your living room or posing with friends on vacation, the new TL210 gets it right every time. Its dynamic Dual Display feature lets you see the shot on the 3.0" 230k TFT LCD and 1.5" Front LCD before taking it, so you can smile for the camera and be the photographer at the same time. The TL210 can even automatically frame and take the shot for you, capturing the moment perfectly. Customer Review :
Excellent little camera for the $! Awesome if your Cell takes MicroSD
I have had it for about a week and love it so far. Takes great pics and has several nice features.
My Favorite feature: if your cell phone takes MicroSD cards then you can pop the card from the camera into your cell phone and upload pics to Facebook, text or email them right away. This is great if you have family/friends that aren't nearby and you want them to feel like they are.
Other great features: The sketch mode is so cool, Very fun to play with. I played with the miniature mode as well but didn't have the right kind of shots to make it fun. The LCD on the front is a Godsend for any Mom who has a thousand pics of her kids but none with her in them. The camera is so small it's sure to be brought with you when you go out and not left at home...it is literally the size of my Smartphone. Lots of options...2 basic settings for novices while the P mode there are options to play with if you're a little more daring. Multi-shot option (in the P mode) is great for outdoors photos when you're hoping to catch 'that pitch' or a particular moment....love that it will take unlimited photos until you run out of card space! Haven't played much with the video mode yet...kind of bummed that the highest fps is in the smallest resolution but happy that it saves in a usable format!
A few minor complaints/issues: The rear screen is a bit hard to see in bright light (even with the auto brightness) but it's not a major issue for me...I'm used to a tilt screen in the back to combat this issue. It doesn't come with a separate charger so you have to charge the batteries in the camera..I just bought an extra external charger. The ports for the USB are proprietary so you can't just use any cord...kind of a bummer since they easily could have used the microUSB cables. It doesn't come with cables to connect to the TV or HDMI so you'd have to purchase these (proprietary ends) if you wanted to use that feature. The camera battery that it comes with is horribly underpowered and doesn't last hardly at all (not an issue if you get 2 batteries or a higher power battery). The children mode has the flash disabled automatically...super bummer as most of my shots are indoors. You have to re-enable the flash each time you switch into this mode. It should auto-remember the flash setting or allow you to set it IMHO. I wish that you could upload a different video for the children mode...there are some online videos you can change it with but if you could put your own video in there (like Elmo or whatever the child's favorite character is) that would be amazing.
Extras to purchase with the device: There's an aftermarket battery (Zeikos) that is 1600 MAh that works great...the batteries for the TL225 (SLB-07A) do work in this camera so I'd suggest getting another battery. I'd also suggest getting a class 6 MicroSD card for it as the access time is great and if you have kids you want to save the pic to the camera as quick as possible so you can catch the next photo.
Anyway, WONDERFUL product FOR THE MONEY and with a few minor tweaks it could be the best camera ever....that being said I'm glad I bought it and plan to update this review as I go.

Not as good.
I bought this camera based on the reviews I read online. I was quite disappointed. The picture quality in the smart mode is quite horrible. The pictures tend to be very blurry and out of focus. Video can be even worse. Zooming in & out during video shoot causes a lot of color changes & brightness changes. Removing the camera from the smart mode helps. Night shots are quite bad too.
Overall I am very unsatisfied and would not recommend this product.

Good camera for the money
So my Kodak 8MP camera finally died I we needed to get a new one fairly quickly. I decided to look at something under 150 dollars and was initially looking at Kodak, Canon, and Sony. I stumbled on this one and I must say it is a very respectable camera. My take: - Housing is solid - At the highest resolution I can take 1100+ photos with a 4GB card - Picture quality is GREAT even in low light - Video was better than expected. I have a nice Camcorder but this will be great as a backup. Very clean and not choppy like previous cameras I have owned. - I like the "auto" shooting. We moved from close to far and light to dark with no problems. Great pics every time. - Menu is easy to navigate and quick to access. - I have not gotten a chance to test battery life but I plan on getting a backup anyways. - SDHC memory is cheap and the 4GB card I purchased from Amazon for 12 bucks works fine.
- The only drawback I have is that on initial pictures sometimes I was holding the camera wrong and covering the flash. The camera is very flush so you need to make sure to hold it correctly in low light so the flash is 100%.
Overall, I have not had the camera long enough to see how "durable" it is, but 1st impressions are very good. I purchased this for $99 bucks on sale and for that price it is a no brainer. I would have been happy to pay the $130 dollar regular price. It has options that most of the 200 dollar cameras have and it feels solid unlike most of the lower priced options.

Great Camera, Great Price
i purchased this camera a couple of days ago at a nearby best buy, and i love it. The camera takes excellent pictures and it easy to use in normal situations, as well as easy to use in situations which require the use of the more advanced settings. I would recommend this camera to anybody who wants a good camera for everyday situations but the options and settings are not extensive enough for an avid photographer or extreme settings

Just right for me.
I really like the size, very little shutter lag, can imprint pictures with date, good color which sets it apart from other cameras, and good price. I would have liked an optical viewfinder and wish it used AA batteries, but at this price you can't easily find these features. I didn't like having to print the users manual (97 pages!) from the DVD that came with it. But overall, it's just right for me.

User-friendly design, great buy
Wanting a point-and-shoot again, to occasionally replace my beloved but bulky bridge camera, I chose this one based on reviews on Best Buy. I love it! Very simple to set up and learn to use. No separate battery charger needed -- just connect the camera to an outlet, as you would a cell phone. The provided CD, with the user's manual, isn't usable on a Mac, which is a strange state of affairs, but the manual is easy to find on line.

Questions & Answers
Question : Did anyone else buy the Samsung D53 digital camera at Walmart? How does Samsung compare with Polaroid?
This must have been a Walmart exclusive because it's not listed on the Samsung web site as a model. Does anyone know how this camera would compare with the Polaroid A700 which was on sale at Kmart? Any opinions on who might make the best inexpense digital camera--Samsung or Polaroid? I do know that the Samsung is very confusing to use out of the box. There are many features but a steep learning curve on figuring out how to use them.
Answer:
Neither.I don't know how much retailers are advertising these for, but if Canon, Olympus, Fuji or Kodak had one within $100, I would opt for one of those and consider it money well spent.I use a Samsung digicam at work for taking passport photos and it is completely unimpressive. Polaroid spent a lot of time in bankruptcy, and is behind on the digital curve.Good luck in finding the right camera.BTW, if you are switching from a film camera, ALL digicams have a steep learning curve!

Question : I bought an open box L77 Samsung Digital Camera and I need accessories for it. Where can I get them?
I have searched all over the internet but still can't find any store who carries accessories for L77 Samsung digital camera. Fortunately, I was able to download a complete copy of user's manual.
Answer:
I don't know what accessories you want? The only things that come with it are the battery and charger. This is a description of the camera---http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Samsung/samsung_l77.asp

Question : What is the indication that my samsung digital camera is charged ?
what is the indication that my samsung digital camera is charged ?
Answer:
It depends on your camera. But usually there's a bar - similar to those on cell phones - that show how full the battery is. That bar gets shorter as the battery drains. Always good to keep the battery charged by the time it gets to the 1/2-1/3 mark in case a great shooting oppty comes up and you don't have a couple hours to charge.I always carry a spare charged battery (and extra memory cd) with me too...

Question : Can anyone tell me about the Samsung L200 digital camera?
It looks like a great camera for the price ($150). 10.2 MP, 2.5 inch LCD, but only 3x optical zoom. Anyone have one? Are you happy with it? And what is the reputation of Samsung cameras in general? Thanks.
Answer:
It uses a lithium ion battery, which is good. It's got optical image stabilization, which is good. It looks good for the price.

Question : What memory card is needed for a Samsung L200 digital camera?
I have a san disk 256 mg, would that work with a samsung camera?
Answer:
This camera uses an SD memory card, you don't say what type of memory card your San Disk card is so I can't tell you if it will work or not.If it's a small, thin rectangle and says 'SD' on the bottom left then it will work with your camera. If its a square and says 'CF' then it will not work.Hope this helps.Thomas

Question : how long do samsung digital camera batteries last?
i just bought a samsung digital camera today at circuit city, and just after a while its battery power became very low. i tried to change batteries, but the other ones don't work. i keep trying to figure out how the battery became so low when i just bought it today! and sometimes when i was taking pictures to test it out, it would just shut off or turn on itself. does anyone know why?
Answer:
When you buy a new camera, mobile phone or something like that, you have to charge it for 4-5 hours. Then you must use it.There are different batteries. "AAA" or "AA" and so on. The little one is "AAA". pay attention to it.And try to use rechargebale batteries. Yeah, they are more expensive than others, but it will last nearly 2-3 year. (you have to give it energy day-by-day)And dont forget, if there appears any problem, You may contact to "shop sale or technic manager".

Question : Change image size on samsung bl103 digital camera?
I just got a samsung camera and when taking pictures they come out HUGE...How do I change the setting so the pictures take a little smaller?
Answer:
NO, no, no, no, no - don't EVER do that!!!You should never EVER set your camera to anything less than best quality (i.e. lowest compression rate) and biggest size (highest resolution). The reasons for that include:1) If you have a good, large photo, you can crop it more later on without losing too much detail if you really have to.2) If you happen to take the best photo you ever took, you'll be able to print it at a large size. If you lowered size and quality, you'd be kicking yourself.3) If you decide later you really don't want to keep a big file, it is very easy to down-size it in post processing - but you can't go the other way, you can't invent pixels that weren't there in the first place.4) Memory cards are cheap, so are bigger hard drives. There is NO reason to do anything less than the best.
