absolutely great camera!!
Love the camera! A little bit of a learning curve, but if I can do it, anybody can. The only problem I have encountered is that twice it has frozen on me. In the middle of taking pics. Don't know why. I have removed the battery and that didn't help. Eventually it closes and turns off. So I may have to send it back to have it looked at. But all in all, it is great!!

Really Good Camera
Im in CR, central america.
1st of all, just by buying this camera over the internet saved around $150 and about the product itself, I can only say it works great and my friend ( the owner of it) is totally happy with it

Flash does not work sometimes
The best feature is the Smart Scene option (when the flash works), it tends not to flash sometimes and ruins some of the best picture moments,im going to exchange for the same hopping the new one has a flash that works, video quality is not so good in low ligth and volume is a little low, also i wish the 225 came in red or other nice color whats up with the colors? they're just horrible i had to settle with the red one 220, and off course hate the the micro card, well nothing is perfect i still think its the best thing out there.

not what i expected
well I do love the camera but it isn't what I was expecting. The picture quality isn't near as nice and clear as I had expected it to be, but it is still good quality! the camera is easy to use and I am enjoying playing with it! Have only had the camera a month! The battery life doesn't seem to last long, which is a complete let down! and I don't like that I have to plug the camera in to charge battery, would like if they came out with a separate wall charger!
UPDATE: went to the zoo and used the camera....didn't even hardly get 30 pictures and my fully charged battery was dead already, I don't know if it is a faulty camera or if they are all like that, but it seems like it should get FAR more photos than that! all my past cameras have taken hundreds of pictures before the battery has needed recharged! planning on getting a hold of the manufacturer but not impressed and am now wishing I had bought a different camera with my money! should have stuck with Panasonic!!!!
Because of the lack of battery life I am removing the 4 stars I had given this camera and changing it too 3 stars....

I Love this camera
It does everything. I had a slim camera before so i wanted to stay small scale. this has it all without sacrificing picture quality. detailed pictures auto adjust for lighting, even has beauty shot! The front view screen is great for self portraits or even so everyone can make sure there in the camera. Amazon tries to sell this as a bundeled package..... beware this camera does not take your standard memory card, it takes a microcard. and 4G's at the most. dont buy it with the 8G card, it is NOT compatible!

Only good until the honeymoon stage is over
I was in love with this cam ever since a friend got it. So I finally bought one for myself and enjoyed it quite a bit for 2 weeks. The dual screen is awesome, a lot of different scenes and features. High resolution cam. The design (and purple color!!!) is oh so cute.
The love-sickness ended when I went to a concert of my favorite band.
The good: The landscape feature let me take decent pics while super zoomed it. The bad: I wish I knew that every time you zoom in/out while filming a vid, the sound blocks out for that period of time. Unfortunately, all of the videos I took, while look really good, sound something like this "la la la la____la laaa___aaaa__aaa la_la_l_laaa_aa."
The battery, that was fully charged going in to the concert, began dying after about 3 vids (20ish mins). So another con--low battery live.
Others have mentioned that sometimes you have to push the power button and/or playback button a couple of times before it actually turns on. Really annoying. And sometimes the slide show begins for no reason at all when you push the playback button and there's no way to stop it unless you turn off the cam completely.
I wish I could return it, but the stupid thing fell out of my purse and hit the ground. Luckily it was in its protective case (that white plushy thing it comes with) and was not broken or affected in anyway. Unfortunately, it still suffered some dents and scratches (how? it was covered!).
$250 down the drain for me=(

Amazing pictures
I bought this camera for family purposes and to make great pics and some video with my little boy. The mode for kids really works in my experience, when I turn it on my baby stares at it and smiles when he sees the clown playing and you have the option to download more videos from the Samsung page, but I haven't done it yet. The pictures are really amazing my wife and I are impressed, I wanted to buy a $500 camera to have really great pics, but I have nothing to regret with this one, people even ask me if I paid a pro to make my pictures. It take time to know where's everything in the menu, but it works really nice for me. Video quality impressed me too.

The most fun Camera!
I did lots of research after losing my camera last summer and going without lots of pictures in the mean time! This Camera was the right choice for me. The touch screen monitor on the back is a fun yet functional feature. There are lots of fun options to choose from, I really like the edit feature you can do face effects right on the camera! No need for photo shop. (or not as much anyways) Fun Fancy camera. The only thing is that I am afraid of is that if I drop it one time it will be broken, however I just always put the strap on my arm. The monitor on the front of the camera has entertained all the young children in my family. I have had so much fun with this camera!!! I did only give it 4 stars for Picture quality because I have noticed that with the flash in some light the pictures appear to be grainy, however that could just be that I am new with this camera and I might not have it set to the right function. But the quality of other pictures that I have taken are amazing! I will have to get used to all the High tech things that this camera does.

Great Camera
Although the price might be a bit high. This camera is great. I love the front LCD since this is the first camera to implement it. It is a great idea. It takes great pictures and the shutter speed is quite fast. I often try and take pictures of my dogs and they look away quick so you have to be quick on the draw for pictures. This camera is perfect. I am still figuring out all the little settings and tweaks you can make but overall picture quality is fantastic.

Nice Camera
I got this for my daughter, as she wanted a camera with a front screen. This was the only one we could find with this feature. Luckily, it turns out this is a very nice camera. It works as advertised. Does not seem to include the cable needed for jacking into the TV. Pic and Video quality are great. For a handy sized point and click camera this one's hard to beat.

Samsung TL220
This was a great investment. I needed a new digital camera and this one is great. I wish it was skinnier like the newer Samsung cameras though. The front and back screens make it convenient to take pictures of myself or friends. There are lots of features like beauty shop and fireworks that are great for special occasions. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend this camera to anyone looking for the latest in technology.

SO-SO
Got this camera for my 20yr old daughter who loves taking self portraits! Yes the camera is excellent for that, but the picture quality I have been seeing my daughter post on the internet has been terrible! Not sure if its her or the camera but if she is just taking regular pictures they still should not be that bad.

A great camera for an amateur (like me!)
This camera is obviously not meant for the professional photographer, but for occasional use as a point-and-shoot it's almost perfect. VERY easy to use thanks to the brilliant touch-based interface, and taking great looking pictures is very easy using one of the automated modes.
I don't really get the problem people are having with the microSD card this camrea supports. You'll only buy one once, it's good for 1000's of photos, and costs a fraction of the price for the camera itself. I think making a big deal out of this is purely nitpicking.

Broken 4 months after purchase
This camera was pretty good when it worked. It stopped working correctly so we sent it for repair per the manufacturer. Of course they cannot duplicate the problem, even though their solution was for us to buy a new battery, which we already had done. I guess it will go out for recycling because it didnt last long and we dont want to bring it on trips if it will continue to malfunction. Buyer BEWARE!

Fun, Fast Camera, Poor Image Quality
My previous camera was a 4MegaPixel Canon S410 which I purchased about 7 years ago. I figured it was time for an upgrade and first I purchased a 12.2 MegaPixel Canon SD980 which is about this same price as the Samsung TL225 and also has a large touch screen. The features and touch UI weren't nearly as good as the TL225. The picture quality of the SD980 was poor and after looking more closely at reviews, I realized I wasn't the only one having issues with it. So, I returned the Canon and purchased this Samsung (mostly because I still wanted the nice touch screen but thought it would have better, not excellent, but good, picture quality). I have been relatively disappointed in the picture quality on this camera. Even in great light conditions, the picture quality isn't all that great. I took my new Samsung TL225 and my old Canon S410 out to the Zoo today to do some comparison shots. It's really sad that my 7 year old, 4 MegaPixel camera is taking far better quality pictures than this brand new, 12.2 MegaPixel camera. Somewhere along the line, the CCD manufacturers must have given up quality in the race to say they had the highest MegaPixel count in their device. There is no excuse for the 4MP to look better than 12.2. Before someone comes along and tells me that I just need to tweak this or that setting, I will say, both cameras were set to auto mode in the comparisons so that things were fair. Also, I don't want to mess with settings, I want to point and shoot and get a decent (not professional) picture. Most of these pictures look OK when zoomed all the way out, but don't think you are going to be able to zoom in and crop a little just because you have 12MP to work with. Any zooming in on the picture on your computer reveals how washed out the image is.
Pros: Very nice user interface. Small/Slim. Feels sturdy. Cool front LCD feature. Very responsive / powers on and takes pictures very quickly
Cons: Picture quality is not very good at all for a 12.2MP point and shoot in this price range. (compared to the Canon S410) Even with the flash on, this camera is terrible in low light conditions (also compared to the Canon S410) Front LCD is difficult to turn on. (no big deal) Bad battery life as expected (but they could have given us an 1100 mAh battery instead of the 750mAh to make up for this) Computer (Win7) recognizes this camera as a storage device, not as a camera. This is generally not a problem because windows will import pictures using its own software, but I prefer Windows Live Photo Gallery and it will not import from the "AutoPlay" menu because it doesn't know it's a camera.
Overall, I'm not too upset about the picture quality because of the other good features, but when I would still suggest looking for something with better picture quality if you don't already own this camera.
Rating :
A great Camera with a ton of features! Also SUPER COOL!!
I would guess that ninety percent of you reading these reviews are prospective digital camera buyers. You are reading these honest reviews by average people in an effort to learn more about buying this camera, you're asking that question "Is the dual-view TL225 right for me?" I don't know if it is, but keep in mind as you're reading my review that I'm writing this review for you because I was you the perspective buyer with numerous questions and concerns just one week ago.
Comparatively this Camera does not take the best picture of all the camera's in its price range. (The sub $300 digital camera category.) There are other camera's in the TL225's price range the give a better representation of color, perform better in low lighting, take better action photographs, take higher resolution HD movies or are smaller and possibly more convenient in some ways. The TL225 is not the pinnacle of digital photography in any category that I could find. It is however, on par with or above average for its class in just about every category; from iso, to HD-Movie capabilities, picture resolution, delay time between taking pictures, and etc. Make no mistake, this camera is no chump! It's just not a champion in any particular category. Overall I think it's the best fit for the average person that needs a digital camera for taking pictures of nights out, sight seeing, family events, etc. It's also quite sleek, I might suggest, nay, I implore you go to bestbuy and see just how sleek this device is before buying it.
Some of the other reviewers have been a bit harsh. I wonder however, how many digital cameras they have owned in their life. If the answer is 1 or 2, then they really aren't in a position to make accurate criticisms of this device. Or, perhaps they are, but only after they actually read the owner's manual. By reading this owner's manual, which, btw, is very detailed and can be downloaded from Samsung's website (in pdf form so you easily browse to whatever section you'd like to read about); you'll find the answer's to many of the little questions/problems/concerns you've had about this device! You can even read the owner's manual before you buy the TL225! Egads man!
As opposed to the aforementioned negative reviewers, I however, love this camera! This is an excellent replacement for the Kodak EasyShare P.0.S. that I had before. The TL225 comes with a ton of features on board. There's a slide show you can setup with a push of button, there's red-eye removal (which you can activate both before and after you take pics), blemish removal, and a ton other effects you can put on the pictures without having to even transfer the photos to your PC. The touch screen is very responsive and the dual view front screen works as advertised.
With its 12.2 megapixel sensor this camera takes some beautiful pictures. It also takes excellent HD movies recording them at 720p and you have the ability to zoom while recording the movies (a lot digital cameras can't do that or if they do you'll get this buzzing noise while zooming (This camera makes no such noises!)).
There's a bunch of on board features for the movies too after you've recorded them so you can edit them, just like the photos (brighten, trim movies, etc) on the camera without transferring them to your PC. I can't talk enough about how many little convenient features are included on board this camera, and they are just all so easy to find with the little pop-up menus. These features are why this camera is a "must own" 5 out 5 star device! Well, haha, that and it takes some pretty darn good pictures too!
Previous reviewers have complained about blurry photographs, well the first thing is to check the ISO level. If you know you are shooting in a dark room and are not using flash, turn the iso up manually. Yes, the auto features are good but not perfect, conventional wisdom says "the great carpenter never blames his tools". There's really something to be said for that, basically, ya know have a brain people! And two, play with your camera, enjoy it before you take it out and use it for your real world events. This camera has a lot of features but you have to use the right one for the job and know all the tools it has to offer and how to use them.
***NOTE*** Digital Camera's and HD Camera's as a whole don't tend to perform as well in low lighting as your regular film camera's they have come a long way and the technology is developing but this isn't a $500-600 professional camera, this a sub-compact point and shoot camera, keep that in mind when grading.
The other thing is this camera has pre-set features that come turned on that you can turn off which will help/hurt picture quality. One of them is facial recognition if this is on and if you are not taking a picture of someone or not trying focus on a face it will cause the picture to come out blurry. That's just the way the software on the camera is written. So you need to make sure you have the camera set in the correct modes. Furthermore, this all goes back to reading the manual and playing with your camera for awhile when you first get it.
To address some of the other concerns: -- The battery life sucks, SUPRISE! Welcome to the world of portable electronics. I suggest only turning on the dual-view then you need it (this is the major batter drainer) and I also suggest buying another battery and the external battery charger.
-- Yes, it also sucks that this camera comes bare bones without a Micro-SD card, additional battery, or some the other nifty accessories you might need. What are you gonna do? I bought all the additional items (extra battery, charger, case, and micro-SD) and it only cost me $30.00.
-- The fact that it uses a micro-SD at all is also kind of annoying. While I think they could have tried to fit a standard SD in this camera, I'm glad they didn't. It's very sleek and stylish, slim and sexy. I guess having to use micro-SD is the price of beauty.
-- You need to buy a $50 dock to connect this camera to your TV using HDMI. Yes this is certainly frustrating, especially since one of the touted features of the TL225 is it's HDMI out, but really who cares? You can buy a USB adapter for your micro-SD and just plug it into your HDTV or PS3 directly.
**SIDENOTES** If you are debating between TL225 and the TL220, I'd say it's worth it to pony up the extra $20-25 for the TL225. The rear LCD screen is a bit bigger on this camera and the resolution on that LCD is much higher so you'll a have more accurate representation of your pictures after you take them. Also just having a larger, higher resolution screen will just add to the wow factor when you show this camera off to your friends. Another note, the orange color that the TL225 comes in is really more of a Red than an Orange; you'll see what I mean when you behold this camera in person. Sorry cuse' fans!
BOTTOM LINE: This camera is great, if you are looking for a sleek point and shoot digital camera with a ton of features. The TL225 takes reasonably good pictures when compared to others in the same price range but where this digital camera really excels is by ease of use and innovative design with its responsive touch screen, pop-up menus, plethora of on-board features and cool dual view LCD. 5 stars!

Exceeding all my expectations so far...
The product has exceeded all my expectation to-date. The pics are clear the video is sharp. I am most impressed with the HDMI interface. The software included is great it store all the setting with the image that was use when the picture was taken. So far have not found any fault with it.

Great Camera!! Samsung SL30 10MP with/ image stabilization
What a suprisingly great camera!! You really don't expect to get such a quality camera for $69.00 dollars. The camera is light weight but sturdy, the view finder is large enough and works great indoors and outdoors. The real coo for me was the AA batteries, this makes the device very portable and allows you to take as many pictures as you have batteries, unlike a lot of the newer camera's where it cost $20-$30 dollars to buy a back up battery. With this camera you can buy what you need or use re-chargeable batteries. The anti-shake/image stabilization is a great feature in a lower cost camera, most less expensive camera's don't offer this very valuable feature. The software that comes with the camera is very user friendly and easy to navigate. I can't imagine needing any higher quality photo's than what are produced by this great little Samsung...

I bought this phone for my wife and she really has enjoyed using it. One drawback is that it did not come with a memory card so when trying to record a video the "memory full" popup comes up. Other than that, a great starter camera.

Great little camera!
I bought this camera for my four year old as a Christmas present. I wanted something that worked well, with a great price. If it happened to break I wasn't out all that much cash. I tell you, this camera takes better pictures than my $300 Canon and all other digital cameras I've had. It takes pictures quickly and reloads the next shot. Colors are warm and images are beautifully focused, even in the hands of a four year old. Regular AA batteries have held up really well until we purchase some rechargeables. Highly recommended. I might even buy another one for myself.

Question : Where can I find a good repair shop for my new Samsung digital camera in Morocco?
On extended vacation in Casablanca, Morocco. My new Samsung digitial camera I bought in the States has quite working and keeps saying low battery even when new batteries are put in. Also the focus has turned blurry. Cant seem to find anyone to repair or even understand the problem. It cost §80 new US cash to buy a new one here would be close to §200 for the same model, not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated, a trip with no pictures would be really sad!
Answer:
Forget it, just buy a new camera! That is what being a good little consumer is all about!Buy a$200 camera, In your case get it for $80 in another country and when it breaks its cost $200 to send it to be fixed (not to mention the BS and run around). You see finding a shop that fixes small electronics is impossible, there just is not enough pay on the investment for people to that anymore, you will just have to send it in and deal the inconvenience!Or Buy a new Camera!Things today are designed not to last and be very expensive, sorry!

Question : Can i use a 2gb or 4gb memory for the Samsung NV3 digital camera?
The instruction manual says the Samsung camera holds an external memory up to 1GB, what is the maximum it can support.
Answer:
It takes SD cards but not SDHD cards. So a 2GB SD card will work, but not a 2GB or 4GB SDHD card (all bigger capacity cards are SDHD)

Question : What is the indication that my samsung digital camera is charged ?
what is the indication that my samsung digital camera is charged ?
Answer:
It depends on your camera. But usually there's a bar - similar to those on cell phones - that show how full the battery is. That bar gets shorter as the battery drains. Always good to keep the battery charged by the time it gets to the 1/2-1/3 mark in case a great shooting oppty comes up and you don't have a couple hours to charge.I always carry a spare charged battery (and extra memory cd) with me too...

Question : Change image size on samsung bl103 digital camera?
I just got a samsung camera and when taking pictures they come out HUGE...How do I change the setting so the pictures take a little smaller?
Answer:
NO, no, no, no, no - don't EVER do that!!!You should never EVER set your camera to anything less than best quality (i.e. lowest compression rate) and biggest size (highest resolution). The reasons for that include:1) If you have a good, large photo, you can crop it more later on without losing too much detail if you really have to.2) If you happen to take the best photo you ever took, you'll be able to print it at a large size. If you lowered size and quality, you'd be kicking yourself.3) If you decide later you really don't want to keep a big file, it is very easy to down-size it in post processing - but you can't go the other way, you can't invent pixels that weren't there in the first place.4) Memory cards are cheap, so are bigger hard drives. There is NO reason to do anything less than the best.

Question : How do I fix my samsung digital camera?
The camera is a type where the lens come up when you turn it on. The lens came out but the battery died and the lens stayed put. Sometime later I put new batteries in to close the lens but the lens wouldn't come back in. I looked and found out the outer tube is sorta crooked. Is there anything i can do to fix it without bringing it to a samsung center?
