Questions & Answers
Question : How long did/has your samsung digital camera last/lasted?
I have an ES55 samsung camera which is refusing to turn on. Anyone else had any problems with their products? This is my first samsung product and so far I am not impressd with the quality. Previously I had a ACER camera which lasted 4 years whereas this one lasted 9 months. Thanks
Answer:
Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2007/11/simple-fix-for-dead-cameras-that-wont.html

Question : What memory card is needed for a Samsung L200 digital camera?
I have a san disk 256 mg, would that work with a samsung camera?
Answer:
This camera uses an SD memory card, you don't say what type of memory card your San Disk card is so I can't tell you if it will work or not.If it's a small, thin rectangle and says 'SD' on the bottom left then it will work with your camera. If its a square and says 'CF' then it will not work.Hope this helps.Thomas

Question : i can't get my samsung digital camera to pop up on the computer screen?
i just bought a samsung tl105 digital camera & when i plug it into the computer with the cord nothing happens? am i supposed to change settings or something? my dad threw out my papers for it so i'm unable to check. PLEASE HELP!
Answer:
You need to download a new manual from the Samsung website. Not for this card issue, but simply because you should know that book inside out - you'll learn so much from it.About the transfer issue:Don't bother with cables or special software! The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card (in case you want to take a few photos to get printed - NOT for viewing on the camera purposes).Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.http://www.ephotozine.com/article/Card-Readers-explained-140

Question : Where can I find a good repair shop for my new Samsung digital camera in Morocco?
On extended vacation in Casablanca, Morocco. My new Samsung digitial camera I bought in the States has quite working and keeps saying low battery even when new batteries are put in. Also the focus has turned blurry. Cant seem to find anyone to repair or even understand the problem. It cost §80 new US cash to buy a new one here would be close to §200 for the same model, not an option. Any help would be greatly appreciated, a trip with no pictures would be really sad!
Answer:
Forget it, just buy a new camera! That is what being a good little consumer is all about!Buy a$200 camera, In your case get it for $80 in another country and when it breaks its cost $200 to send it to be fixed (not to mention the BS and run around). You see finding a shop that fixes small electronics is impossible, there just is not enough pay on the investment for people to that anymore, you will just have to send it in and deal the inconvenience!Or Buy a new Camera!Things today are designed not to last and be very expensive, sorry!

Question : Can i use a 2gb or 4gb memory for the Samsung NV3 digital camera?
The instruction manual says the Samsung camera holds an external memory up to 1GB, what is the maximum it can support.
Answer:
It takes SD cards but not SDHD cards. So a 2GB SD card will work, but not a 2GB or 4GB SDHD card (all bigger capacity cards are SDHD)

Question : Samsung digital camera, what am I doing wrong?
I just bought a samsung ES55 digital camera and I can only seem to store 19 pictures on the actual camera. I don't have a memory card in it but can buy and put one in if needs be. I have reduced the quality of the pics I am taking and put everything that could take up memory to the lowest possible setting. Is this normal because I can't believe for an £80 camera you would only store 19 pics???? Does this mean a memory card is essential for use?
Answer:
You're not doing anything wrong. The internal memory is very small.Yes you'll want / need a memory card. It will store far more than the internal.By the way, read your owner's manual to learn what size and style of card you need and your camera will support before you go buy.
