Incredible Price, modest expectations
To be fair I was using a Canon IXUS before, so I was realistic that for $120 it would not be a metal casing or the same feature set - the Canon is x3 the price. I added a 1Gb card to the Xacti. I have now been using this camera for about one month now and have to say it is pretty good, the retro styling is nice, but you then expect it to be truer to the retro theme in use of materials - matt black/metal - the actual touch is a little disappointing, the black is plastic/plastic - not rubberised or textured in any way and the metal is just plastic. Controls are well set out. The LCD display is pretty good, camera startup fast and prompt. In fact the operating system is the best part of the camera, plenty of settings and features. ISO settings, etc. The camera has a 1-point & 9-point auto focus choice, but both seem to struggle in lower (not so low light) light - making it very easy to get either blurred or pictures with artifacts. You really need to experiment and I'm not convinced it takes above average pictures on auto. Overall, I'd say it is an amazing camera for £60/$120, 6 mega-pixels, 3 x optical zoom.
But after having used a Canon, I will be buying one of their new 2007 models when they are released and passing the Xacti to either my Mum or using it in situations where it might get bumped.

Superb,High Quality Compact Digital Camera
After a few years of dealing with the great quality but of course bulky Olympus Evolt E500 8MP Digital SLR with 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 & 40-150mm f/3.5-4.5 Zuiko Lenses I decided upon suggestion I needed a smaller digital camera that was simpler to use but had a very similar image quality of my profession model, just for ease of use on say little day trips and such. My first such attempt at purchasing such a camera was a near disaster with the extremely low quality DIGITAL CONCEPTS 87690 7.1 Megapixel Digital Still Camera. The deal at the store was I'd try to camera and return it the next day if I wasn't satisfied and pay the difference on this one, which was also available. Well it's been a week since I bought this camera and I've taken a couple hundred pictures with it and am extremely impressed with the quality not only of the images, which are in fact nearly the equal of my Olympus professional SLR but the ease of use of it's modes and features. The album has an easy hands on menu along with some internal menu features to control everything from excellent white balance and handy AE metering settings. The macro feature was my main concern here as it does when it comes to most cameras of this type but it too is excellent. I primarily have photographed flowers with this so far and I can set as close as 3-4 inces away from the subject before it goes blurry. This camera has almost all the features as my Olympus pro model and a few more such as a range of scene modes for everything from birthday parties to fireworks,a self timer with a little self mirror feature for self portraits as well as a motor drive for continuous pictures. One of the only mild drawbacks is,as stated previously is the slightly low battery life but,if the camera is shut off after a short time and not kept on for long periods the battery will last much longer I find. Another great feature about this camera is when you zoom in closer the ammount of visual "noise" common with these compact digital cameras is kept at a bare minimum and,in broad sunlight or flash use is barely noticible. There are features of this camera I haven't set used but for anyone looking for a near pro quality, budget priced compact digital camera with many handy features this will more than do the trick the same as it has for me.

Awesome
Simple and easy to operate, lightweight and fits in your handbag or small purse. It is a Sanyo and even though this camera is just a 7.0 Mpix camera the photographs are high quality. I love sending these photos over the internet because the pictures keep that quality. You would love this product.

The E760 features 7.1 Megapixel resolution for images that can be blown up to poster-sized prints or cropped in to show off fine details. A 3x all-glass zoom lens gives the E760 the power to zoom in close. Captured images are easily viewed on the camera's extra-large 2.5 inch LCD display. Video capture mode allows you to shoot full 640x480 video clips. The E760 has a sophisticated face detection system that sets the focus point and exposure for the faces of your subjects and can detect up to six faces in a single shot. With a high sensitivity of ISO 800, the E760 captures greater detail in low light. The E760 features an easy-to-use menu system and user-friendly ergonomics that will please entry-level digital photographers as well as more experienced users. Powering the E760 is a lithium-ion battery that provides long shooting times and is easily recharged. Images are captured to SD Memory Cards (cards sold separately).
Customer Review :
Great Camera- and mine is even used!
I bought my Sanyo e760 used- I was a little hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews on here about the cameras dying right away, but the seller I bought it from had it for over a year and loved it. They sold me the 7 megapixel because they were going to upgrade to 10- I don't see why the 7 is great! I've had this camera for a while now and its still working beautifully.
The internal memory is really small, so I bought a 4 gb SD card for it- and omg I went from taking 11 pictures at the highest resolution/megapixel to 1732 photos!!! I can take as many pictures as I want now for a $20 upgrade- its worth it- buy it!
I am also very happy with the video quality. You of course are going to have to invest the 20 bucks for the sd card but with it I can take 2.5 hours with of video on this little camera. I love it!
Great for the amateur photographer/videographer!

Love, Love, Love It!
This is the 2nd of this exact camera I've had. The first one, I loved so much, but accidently spilled OJ on it and it fried. So I was looking for the exact same camera and found it!! I carry it everywhere with me, it's always in my purse. It takes wonderful pictures and video. The battery last a very long time during use and when hanging out in my purse. I would highly recommend this little camera to anyone, IF you can find it!

bad camera
This was a great camera when it worked, however, it broke after only 4 months and Sanyo said it only had a 90 day warranty. Nothing i did could have caused it to mess up, the lens is stuck. When you go to the support website, lens is stuck is the top searched problem, not good. I wouldn't get this camera unless you only need it for 4 months. I do not want anymore items made by Sanyo, i thought it would be okay because i have have Sanyo TVs all my life, appearenly no quality with the camera.

Loved this camera until.....
I loved this camera! It was very user friendly. The pictures were good for the most part. Sometimes a little grainy. However, a little over a year after I bought this camera the battery stopped holding a charge. I bought a new $35.00 battery but had the same problem. It is past it's warranty so I have to get a new camera. Probably won't buy a Sanyo because of this issue but I loved it while it worked!

I have had this camera for a couple of years now and I love it. The battery is rechargeable and it lasts a long time on a charge. Easy to use and the pictures look good.

Question : what types of memory cards can you use in a sanyo VCP-S1275 digital camera?
I found a Sony 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo Media Card, Mark 2 memory card, and it is at a price range I could live with, I was just wondering if it would work in my camera? If not... what type of memory card would I have to get? Like a certain brand or something? Do only Sanyo memory cards (if there are any) work in sanyo cameras?

Question : How long does a sanyo digital camera stay charged?
I just got a new digital camera and it doesn't say in the manual how long it stays charged. It's a E1075 Sanyo digital camera. thanks.
Answer:
The batteries will last 8-12 weeks if left turned off, sometimes longer. Under regular casual use the batteries will last long enough to take roughly 3000 pictures, less if you use video or look at the pictures on your camera a lot.

Question : how to transfer picture from my Sanyo Digital camera to my computer?
when I turn om my camera says processing and that is all
Answer:
The easiest and best method to transfer photos and video from your camera to your computer is via a little USB card reader (which are very cheap these days and widely available).Card readers also work for moving photos from the computer onto a card.Plug the reader into a USB port and insert the memory card.It will show up as a drive, and you can simply drag and drop the photos across to the folder of your choice.http://www.ephotozine.com/article/Card-Readers-explained-140

Question : My Sanyo X1200 digital camera not working?
My Sanyo X1200 digital camera will not turn on. When the power button is pressed, the lense goes out and in a couple of times and then the screen says "system error". The lense then goes out and back in and it turns back off. However, if the review button is pressed, the camera will turn on and you can review the pictures. Please help.
Answer:
Every single day on YA, several people ask for advice about their broken camera.Little P&S cameras seem to be fragile, they don't like to be dropped, sat on, or squashed in a bag, least of all while they are turned on and the lens is extended. If you (or your sibling/cousin/dog) have bent your lens, your camera is broken. If it suddenly won't take photos, or does other extremely weird things, it is probably broken, even if you're not aware that something HAS happened to the camera. So now that your camera no longer works, there are a few things you can try (regardless of what the actual symptoms are):1) READ YOUR MANUAL !!!!!! There is a reason why we get those, they are full of good ideas. They also have a trouble shooting section which may help you figure out what is going on.2) Pull out the battery for 30 seconds - sometimes that resets the camera. Read the user guide if there is a way to "factory reset" the camera.3) Check the manufacturer's website. You might find good advice, or user forums, or links to their support section, or a person to "live chat" with or all of the above.4) Take the camera to a local repair shop. If it is just a little P&S, you'll most likely find it will be cheaper to replace it, than it is to repair it. But it is worth a try, right? However, be very careful about paying for a quote..... it may not be worth it.5) If you have exhausted all other options and you have decided the camera is now a paperweight, start trying to fix it yourself. I have heard people say they managed to bend the lens back into position and the camera worked again.Good luck, and make sure to be nice and gentle with your next camera (but stay away from Kodaks and Vivitar ...... they seem to break just by looking at them).

Question : How can you upload pictures to your computer using a Sanyo DIgital Camera?
there r 2 #s on the bottom of the camera and on the boxVPC-X1200V4011655
Answer:
Use the USB Transfer cable that came with your camera. After you connect the cord to the camera & computer Windows will automatically detect just follow the instructions and save them where you would like to access them. You must have the power on the camera for the computer to detect new hardware. Also read your manual and use the CD if you got one.If you do not have a cord refer to you manual. Does it use a memory card? You can get a card reader from any electronics store and accomplish this as well. This is really easy after the first time.
