Editorial Review :

The fun, easy-to-use Sony Cyber-shot DSC-P32 digital camera packs in more pixels and more features than its predecessor. With its 3.2-megapixel resolution, the Cyber-shot DSC-P32 produces stunning images in a diverse range of conditions. It's also one of the first Sony cameras to be compatible with Memory Stick Pro.

Step-up Value
Here's a Sony feature that adds value to this digital camera and differentiates it from other models in the Sony lineup.

product imageMulti-Point Auto Focus: By evaluating 3 separate focus areas of the frame, Sony's Multi-point AF system can intelligently focus on the subject and avoid mistakenly focusing on the background.

Optics and Resolution
The 3.2-megapixel resolution creates images large enough to print 11-by-17-inch enlargements. The 14-bit DXP system plus Super HAD CCD combine to produce excellent image detail and stunningly smooth contrast and color rendition. The Cyber-shot DSC-P32 offers a 3.2x digital zoom.

Storage and Transfer
Images are stored on Memory Sticks, and a 16 MB Memory Stick is included. The Cyber-shot DSC-P32 is also one of the first Sony cameras to be compatible with optional Memory Stick Pro media, which can extends data capacity up to 1 GB.

Images can be downloaded to either a Mac or PC via USB connectivity, which means it can be connected to any USB-based Windows 98/Me/2000/XP and Mac OS 8.6 or later computer without installing any software.

Movie Mode
You can capture far more than still images with the MPEG Movie VX function. Most digital cameras' movie modes are limited to 30- or 60-second clips, but the Cyber-shot DSC-P32 can keep shooting until you've filled the memory card. When used with Memory Stick Pro media, you can shoot approximately 22 minutes of video.

Questions & Answers
Question : Video from Sony digital camera has watermark on it?
I have a Sony DSC-w290 digital camera. I filmed a short video clip and, when I put the file on my computer, it has a huge watermark right in the middle saying "evaluation copy." It doesn't show up when I view the video on the camera, just on the computer. I ran it thorugh a couple different converters and video players, but it was still there. How do I get rid of it?

Answer:
You pay for the software and the watermark is removed.

Question : How can I find the manual to download for my Sony digital camera DSCP72?
I have a Sony digital camera DSCP72 and I do not have the manual for it. I want to download it from the internet. How do I do that. What is the link to key in so that I can download the manual?

Answer:
Go to the SONY website and type in the model number in their Search area. They should have a PDF of the manual.

Question : How do people feel about compact Sony Digital camera's?
I'm looking for a compact digital camera and most people have recommended I go for a Sony but there is so much choice out there. I'm looking for a camera that has great picture quality and that I can just pop into my bag. I do have a budget of £100, however, for that extra bit of quality I would go over it by a maximum of £20. Any advice and help would be great. Thanks in advance.

Answer:
When you're on a very tight budget, you're limited to a little Point & Shoot camera, and many of those are very similar (although I would stick with Canon or Nikon and certainly stay away from Kodak and Vivitar). In perfect lighting situations, they will take pretty decent photos. However, they do all have limitations (especially shutter lag and low light issues), and a huge problem is often the lack of manual controls, which of course limits you so drastically in what you can do.Quite a lot of the limitations can be overcome - or at least improved - by learning a bit about photography.Read the manual several times, attend a class, borrow some books and look online for tutorials.I can guarantee you that some knowledge will help you make the most of your camera, whichever one you end up buying.Do keep in mind that for that sort of money your camera will have a TINY sensor and you can not expect miracles from it.

Question : How do i identify fake Sony digital camera from a genuine one?
I recently purchased a Sony DSC W150 camera. There are soo many fake Chinese built fake sony cameras in market here in Sri Lanka. I just want to know if there are any possible ways how I can make sure the camera i purchased is an originally a Sony made one. Thanks in advance...god bless

Answer:
Contact 'Sony'. Keep your serial number in hand. This is the only error-less and sure way to know.

Question : How do you go to the trash bin in a Sony digital camera?
It's a sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 digital camera. I Deleted the pictures by accident andI really want to get them back. Thanks

Answer:
You are thinking that your camera works like your computer, sorry but it does not, once you have deleted them then under all normal circumstances you have lost them. If you have not taken other photographs since you deleted them so that they have not been overwritten you can contact a specialist company who deal in data recovery. There may be software you can purchase that will do the same job, how effective it is I have no idea. You will have to do a search of the internet to locate it. Whichever way it will probably cost you, so it depends how important these photos are.Regards.

Question : why would a sony digital camera have a blurry screen when trying to take a picture?
i have only used a digital camera a few times. my daughter gave me a sony dsc-t1 camera that she used until she bought a new one. It worked well for my husband but I seem to have troubles as screen is blurry with blue streaks. can't figure out book with118 pages. help please

Answer:
it could be that the screen simply died or the sensor is showing some faultseither way, try doing a reset, or "return to defaults" on your camera. Your manual should have that in there somewhere.

Question : How to repair this problem with my Sony Digital Camera?
Okay, so I dropped my Sony Digital Camera dsc-s500 on the floor. It landed face flat on it lens (or the thing that pops out when you turn it on). Now when I do turn it own, it only pops out half way, it doesn't fully extend. And when I turn it off it doesn't go all the way back in. Help? How do I take this apart and fix it myself? I don't want to spend any money when I know it's an easy fix with proper guidance.

Answer:
It's not an easy fix. More than likely the zoom/lens drive mechanism is broken, and it would cost almost as much if not more to repair it than to buy a new one. If you need any parts, you would need to buy another used camera and hope the same thing didn't happen to it (as new parts are only going to be available to an authorized repair center).
