The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T90 camera combines style with power and intelligence. At just under 5/8” (15mm) thin, the T90 comes in 5 sophisticated colors and has a stylish look. With the T90 taking great pictures is now easier than ever. The iAuto mode goes beyond the traditional auto mode, thinking and working for you; recognizing scenes, lighting conditions, faces, and automatically adjusts camera settings resulting in clearer images, and faces with more natural skin tones and less blur. T90 also features HD Movie mode, recording in 720p for capturing your precious moments on video. Compose, review, and share your memories on the 3.0” (230k pixels) touch-screen LCD.

Returned for Refund

There is no doubt that the Sony T90 is one of the cutest compact camera's on the market - but my little baby was returned back to the store - and here's why...

Pros:
* Compact and Cute (Blue color was awesome)
* HD movies
* The on camera Slideshow is fun to watch with sound/music.

Cons:
* Sometimes hard to open / close
* Doesn't always take a great picture
* Difficult to switch between taking pictures and movie mode.
* Difficult to see the icons on the camera (they are actually blurry)
* I accidently touched the screen while taking pictures (many times), and activating a menu option (accidently) -- there is no where to put your thumb.
* Displaying pictures on the camera is a process - zooming in and out of a photo is also a pain.
* The touchscreen icons are blurry.
* Pricey - fair price (in my opinion) is $150

Netnet: This little camera really can't do anything a $100 camera can't do aside from the slideshow with music feature. Just my opinion - Good Luck.

Great Little Camera, few Drawbacks...

So I've owned this camera for several months now and have taken thousands of pictures with it. There's something about these Sony point-and-shoots that make for really attractive and colorful photos that are sharp and of a very high quality. Oddly enough I find that the best pictures are taken in 5MP or 8MP mode. The maximum (12 MP) gives the pictures a washed out sort of look. I chose this camera primarily because it was so slim it could slip into your pocket and because it could take HD movies as well, and that it does!!!

There are a few drawbacks, and that is that the battery life of this camera is not great, especially if you're shooting in video mode and the weather is somewhat cold. I'm a huge outdoor enthusiasts and find that even with a spare battery I have to think twice about taking photos I want to take on multi-day treks. I think the huge brightly lit LCD screen contributes to that a lot. Another thing I found frustrating at times, but it's not too bad, is that you can't switch from picture to video mode in an instant. Since it's touchscreen you have to pull up a menu and then switch. Another thing is that low-light and night time photos look overexposed with the flash so I usually turn off the flash and try to keep it very still, but even so there's a lot of noise.

The drawbacks, however, are overlooked considering the overall excellent pictures and video this thing takes. I just have to find a way to charge the batteries with my solar charger and I'll be happy.

Beautiful design, very slim, love the flip top, great pics

Excellent camera. I bought it to replace my older model Sony. The design is impressive. Its very slim, easy to fit in pocket or smaller size case. Love the touch screen. takes great photos so far, although I haven't had time yet to take a lot of them. Also, I know a few other people that own this camera that love it too.

SONY DSC-W120 DIGITAL CAMERA

Beats lugging around a big camera

I bought the pink version of this for my wife a few months back when it was only around $120. It's great for taking random pictures and doing casual photography. The only thing I hate about this (and Sony in general) is its proprietary cable, memory stick and battery. I loved the Sony H2 because it uses standard AA batteries and mini-USB. This model uses non-standard cables and battery. So when I lost the cable, I had to use either the H2 or a separate card reader to transfer files to my computer.

But it takes great pictures--which is the most important thing for cameras.

Blurry pictures

I purchased this camera to replace our 10-year-old 3.2 MP camera that is still taking good pictures, but is too big to carry easily. I was looking for something much more portable with an updated mega pixel capability. This camera is perfectly sized and easy to use, but unfortunately takes undependable pictures. Some photos are in focus and others blurry for no apparent reason. This happens with pictures taken right in row of the same subject with the same settings. Indoor, outdoor, sunlight, lamplight all hit and miss. Tried a multitude of different settings with no improvement. The most frustrating part is that the pictures usually look fine on the viewing screen, so it's not until they're downloaded that you realize the shot is blurry. I missed numerous once-in-a-lifetime photos on a trip this summer because they looked fine when reviewed on screen but blurry when downloaded. Admittedly, the shots that do turn out have good color...

It's possible that I'm just not "getting" this camera. Maybe I'm not doing something right(and yes, I know to partially press the shutter button to focus before taking the shot); however, I haven't had this problem with our earlier cameras, my sister's camera, the camera at work, etc. After months of experimenting I decided "it's not me, it's you," and I moved on to a new relationship with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3 that I am completely in love with.

Pros:
-portable size
-easy to navigate
-good photo colors
-sturdy (Our pony BIT the camera. The camera was in its case, but I had to pull it free from her teeth and there were grinding noises involved. The blurriness problem was present before this occurred, and was no worse afterward.)

Cons:
-Approximately half the pictures are unusable due to blurring.

Conclusion: All the "pro's" in the world don't make up for pictures you can't use.

One year and 3 months out, my camera won't work

I purchased the Sony Cybershot DSC-W120 camera 1 year, 3 months and 4 days ago. Today when I tried to use it, it wouldn't turn on. I took the battery in to see if it was bad and learned that it is a fully charged battery, no problems there. When I turn on the camera, "sometimes" the view screen lights up for a few seconds but nothing else. I checked to see what it would cost to repair my $100 purchase and the cost is $120. Beware of this model as I guess you get what you pay for.

Question : How do you go to the trash bin in a Sony digital camera?
It's a sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 digital camera. I Deleted the pictures by accident andI really want to get them back. Thanks

Answer:
You are thinking that your camera works like your computer, sorry but it does not, once you have deleted them then under all normal circumstances you have lost them. If you have not taken other photographs since you deleted them so that they have not been overwritten you can contact a specialist company who deal in data recovery. There may be software you can purchase that will do the same job, how effective it is I have no idea. You will have to do a search of the internet to locate it. Whichever way it will probably cost you, so it depends how important these photos are.Regards.

Question : Will any Sony digital camera body work with the older Minolta Rokkor lenses?
I have many good Minolta Rokkor lenses I've used on several Minolta SRT camera bodies. I understand that Sony bought Minolta so will any of the Sony digital bodies fit the Rokkors (like the older Pentax lenses do with current Pentax digitals)?

Answer:
There is an adapter but its hard to find although a visit to the Sony web site might be helpful. Other than that just keep checking on eBay. Unfortunately, when Minolta introduced the Maxxum 7000 AF camera in 1985 they changed their lens mount. Sony now uses the A-mount so any Maxxum AF lens will work just fine on a Sony DSLR.

Question : Which is better a Sony or a Canon digital camera ?
I'm panning to buy a good digital camera and i'm wondering which is better a sony digital camera or a canon. Do you know any good model to suggest ?

Answer:
Sony tends to be lower end. They're limited on lenses and feel cheap. Sony has been making SLRs since 2006 and Canon since the early 1900s. Who do you think would be better?
