Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 Deluxe Accessory pack
I feel that the company did a good job getting their package together. The USB plug was a better one then shown in the photo. They didn't mention that there was a special plug that went in the side of the camera that had both a 3 plug red, yellow, white for the TV plus a USB plug for a PC all in one. The camera stand was lightweight but good enough for occasional usage. I really haven't used it yet except to try it out. They also have a special plug to enable a HDMI connection to the camera. I don't have another HDMI cable hanging around so haven't tried that yet. The cleaning kit they included has come in handy already as a few times while taking macro shots as I've touched the lens to some flower stamens that left a smear and it took it right off. I did have some fear that my old XP system would have issues reading the memory chip but using the USB reader I've had no problems so far.
The camera itself is a great first time DSLR I think. I've never had one before but after looking at reviews and using it I found it easy to use and it does have a lot of options to help you take different types of photos. The one issue I've had is using the LCD screen in bright sunlight. Even at full brightness it's pretty washed out. I found you can get around that to some degree by switching to the eye piece though that has the issue of showing a very small image. The telephoto and macro abilities of the camera are both great. I've taken some great shots using both settings. I'm still getting use to the camera and I'm not much of a photographer so if I can do good anyone else should be able to.
The software that keeps control of the image folders seems to work good so that is a plus too. I've tried others and this is the first one that didn't make a mess of things and was easy to use.
So I would highly recommend both the company and the camera package as it looks like a good deal to me.

Quick and small - the only way you'll have it when you need it
As a guy with only four pockets, I can't stand to carry something bigger than this. This is as small of a decent camera as I could find at the time. Besides that, the quality is fantastic.
My favourite part is that you can turn it on, snap pictures, and have it back in your pocket while most other people are still waiting for their lenses to extend.
Everything else has been said many times, so I'll leave it at that for now.

12MP but the quality is from 1999
I bought this camera as an upgrade from my 3 year old 6 MP Sony. Initially it seemed enticing, what with the 12 megapixels, slim profile, and touch screen. Don't let the bling fool you. The quality of the pictures are horrible, and the autofocus leaves a lot to be desired. The touch screen isn't hard plastic like the iPhone, and got a scratch just from being in my pocket. A closeup reveals a lot of "noise" and almost all flash photos have a gray haze to them that the most advance photo retouching cannot remove. Zeiss is probably rolling over in his grave knowing his name is on this camera. This would be awesome, because it has a lot of practical in camera functions, but until the quality is right, they aren't even worth mentioning.

Best pocket camera I have ever owned!!!
This camera is by far the best camera I have ever owned. I am ***shocked*** by the pictures I take with the flash. Instead of washing the photo out, it is crisp and clear and bright. Some of the first pictures I took were of my dog in my apartment at night. And there is no way you could tell it was dark in that room!
The touch screen was a concern for about 30 seconds. I was unsure how I would feel about it. But once you know where all of the settings are, switching back and forth from flash to no flash, from picture to video, from regular to macro (up close), etc is so easy and possible to do with one hand. The touch screen is now the best part of this camera in my opinion. It comes with this little plastic pen that attaches to the wrist cord. If I'm editing the pictures or seriously messing with the settings I can use the pen, but if I'm just making small adjustments while shooting, a finger tip does very well.
The volume could be a little louder on the camera during playback. But once you upload the videos to a computer, the sounds isnt a problem.
Make sure you get a case for this camera though. You dont want to risk messing up the huge screen!

Great Camera!
This camera does everything on it's own! I always hated having to try and figure out what kind of setting to put on my previous cameras so that the picture would come out the best... after a while I would just put it on "auto" and hope for the best. This camera detects it's surroundings and will adjust to whatever environment you are in automatically! It will detech backlight and eliminate it and also detect if it's a portrait picture, landscape, etc. Plus it looks so slick and small enough to put in a clutch purse or pocket. People ask me how much I paid for this like it must have costed so much money so it even looks expensive! I love this camera!

Question : how do i offload pictures from a Dsc h20 sony digital camera onto a mac?
i need help... if anybody has any info i would appreciate the help. Its a sony digital camera model dsc h20 and i want to offload my pictures onto my mac. thanks in advance for your help!
Answer:
Well, the camera surely came with a USB cable for that very purpose, so find it, and plug one end into the camera and then plug the other end into the back of your Mac and iPhoto will open and download the photos for you.If you don't have the cable, you'll have to get one, probably on eBay or somewhere like that. Just do an online search for "USB cable sony dsc h20" and you'll surely find one.Good luck!... ☺

Question : What is the estimated useful life of a Sony digital camera?
anyone know the expected useful life of a sony digital camera? filling out a fixed assets form..
Answer:
There must be a table for this somewhere. I'd expect it to become "obsolete" after 3 years, even though it is still functioning. If you plan on buying a new one in 3 years, I'd call the useful life 3 years.I'd expect it to need repair or replacement in 5-to-7 years, though, if you don't drop the thing. You don't say which camera, but most entry-level DSLR's seem to have a shutter rated at 50,000 cycles, so any point and shoot would be at that level or lower, I am sure. How many pictures do you take per year? Divide that into 50,000 for a maximum life span and I think it would be 100% defensible on audit.

Question : Will any Sony digital camera body work with the older Minolta Rokkor lenses?
I have many good Minolta Rokkor lenses I've used on several Minolta SRT camera bodies. I understand that Sony bought Minolta so will any of the Sony digital bodies fit the Rokkors (like the older Pentax lenses do with current Pentax digitals)?
Answer:
There is an adapter but its hard to find although a visit to the Sony web site might be helpful. Other than that just keep checking on eBay. Unfortunately, when Minolta introduced the Maxxum 7000 AF camera in 1985 they changed their lens mount. Sony now uses the A-mount so any Maxxum AF lens will work just fine on a Sony DSLR.

Question : How do I get a deleted Sony digital camera picture back?
I just deleted a picture that I really liked from my Sony digital camera, is there anyway I can get it back!! Thanks for the help! :)
Answer:
No, you can't get it back. In the future, upload your pictures to Adobe Album Starter Free Edition after you take them so you don't lose them.
|
Question : How do you go to the trash bin in a Sony digital camera?
It's a sony Cyber-shot DSC-W120 digital camera. I Deleted the pictures by accident andI really want to get them back. Thanks
Answer:
You are thinking that your camera works like your computer, sorry but it does not, once you have deleted them then under all normal circumstances you have lost them. If you have not taken other photographs since you deleted them so that they have not been overwritten you can contact a specialist company who deal in data recovery. There may be software you can purchase that will do the same job, how effective it is I have no idea. You will have to do a search of the internet to locate it. Whichever way it will probably cost you, so it depends how important these photos are.Regards.
